Now That I'm Thinking (2023)

[ Report to the Council ] Intelligence has reached The Holy Order regarding activity within Intramuros.A small, elite orc unit is currently stationed on the outskirts of a village near the abbey. They have advanced close to the border with minimal supplies and personnel in a short period of time. This movement is notably different from their usual large-scale operations, marking an unusual shift in their tactics. For this reason, the Knights' Order has decided to deploy a small force of Paladins, along with Vice Commander Leo, a former participant in the Demon Lord Subjugation Squad, and Successor Nick, to execute a swift extermination mission. This decision considers the possible existence of an asymmetric asset, such as a beast intended for sabotage or large-scale massacre. The Council's understanding and support on this matter are greatly appreciated.

I had so so so much fun with this project. I'm Genuinely so happy with how the finale turned out. I will leave below another little diary entry about this episode. I understand my pipeline - release infrequency does not please the YouTube algorithm, and I know of strategies I could employ to better my odds. (making smaller, easier projects, animating trending topics, etc) I believe while these strategies would better my chances of getting my art out there, they would make me disappointed in myself as an artist. I've made the conscious decision to take the hard route to make me happy with what I'm doing, even if my work is less publicly 'successful.' Despite knowing all of this, it is still extremely disheartening to spend months and months on an episode, only to release it and see it gain zero traction. So disheartening that it actually had me seriously consider giving up on Super Turbo Power Punch MAXED after episode 2. I am so glad I didn't. I am so glad I finished this series. I believe it to be something truly special to me. But before I get ahead of myself, lets talk about episode 5. This chat may leak into topics across the whole series, as at the time of writing this I just watched the series as a whole, and feelings towards STPPM as a whole certainly are flowing. Kal's redesign was planned in the script. But I didn't actually have a plan for what I wanted him to look like when he became the Keeper of Radness. I waited until I got to Damian's death before modeling Kal. I really like Kals new design. The black belt caused me some headache, but I think the result was worth it. I really like a lot of the dialog between Kal and Korloc in this episode. It's a lot of high inspired confrontational silliness. Stuff I like to imagine Kal picked up across all of his movie watching both in the vision realm and over the course of his childhood. I watched a lot of Kung-fu movies as a child. Which of course was accompanied with all kinds of action movies of all way shapes and forms. Basically everything Jet Li, Fearless, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, The One, The Protector, Ong Bak, Matrix,. I could go on and on. Martial arts always attracted my interest as I am a huge action fan. My family means a great deal to me, and while I have always and continue to connect with different members of my family over different things, I spent a great portion of time watching these films with my Dad. My Dad was hugely involved in my childhood and is unquestionably the culprit in injecting an appreciation for kung fu movies into my life. (Hey what do you know, The effect you have on others, eh?) Anyways, kung fu movies hold a special place in my heart, and I thank my dad for that. The shot towards the end of Episode 4 of Kal and Damian watching Kung fu movies in the vision realm reminds me of those days with my dad. huddled in front of the family TV rewinding the VHS to watch the cool fight scene once more. A lot of Kal's kung fu is just him waving his hands around. As though all he did was perceive kung fu fights through TV rather than being trained seriously. Because that's exactly what he did. There was a time when I was a kid I used to think I could be a master just by watching TV. But after just 10 minutes of jumping around doing kung fu in the backyard, it was always easier to just go inside to watch more kung fu and daydream, much like my fellow enthusiast Kal. Kal takes his 'training' much more seriously than I ever did. But the inspiration for his character was a hyper-dramatic version of my younger self. A caricature of the 'I watch kung fu movies I know what im doing' type. The fact we did not see the lessons Kal learned in the movies directly was perhaps a strange choice for the story. It was however a conscious decision for the overall message and theme. We learn from the influences around us. Of those influences, it's our jobs as people to filter and deduce what is worth passing on to others, and what we can let go of. With this in mind, it doesn't matter what specific influences did what to Kal directly. Kal made the decision that of everything he's learned,. Being Rad is whats worth passing on. I feel I could talk all day about the nitty gritty but a lot of it is pretty self-explanatory as to what I was going for, so I leave it to you! I started writing a script for my next project back in August of 2024. I plan to start working on my new project very soon. But fear not, Another action packed story is coming. Thanks again everyone for your patience, and your loving support through my journey. I love you all dearly. Please consider supporting me! Be sure to subscribe and hit the bell so you don't miss a cartoon! LOVE YOU Time for Episode 3! In the past episode, I touched on how I felt like Kal was a potentially flat character. I felt making Episode 2 that I shouldn't ever write a character I'm not excited to animate or design a cool performance for. Upon finishing said episode I began work on Episode 3 and felt Clair, the Keeper of Visions would fall into the same category; So I completely rewrote her. In my script she was originally entirely different. An old 'shaman-esc' lady. I went to design her visually and decided she wasn't interesting, and I caught myself beginning to phone it in with her development. I stopped and rewrote the character, and I think I ended up with someone much more loveable. I had a blast developing Claire and animating her. Super Turbo Power Punch MAXED is a feature that's being broken up into episodes. Which I am beginning to learn was a stupid decision. The writing has been paced to be watched as a whole. But now I have back-to-back episodes (2 and 3) with NO action and NO tetherball. This result bugs me. Moving forward with my next series my philosophy will be evolving from "a feature being split into episode" to "An episodic series that will be combined into a feature." I think this change will make me much more satisfied with the process of releasing smaller contained videos. As I felt with this episode that I was trying to "just get through this one" so I can work on the next sequence I'm excited for. I plan to get this right at the writing stage as I develop my next series. There's lots I can say about this episode. But honestly almost every aspect falls into the category of how I felt about Kal as a character. The colors, the contrast, the lack of action, the exposition, are all lows from that of Episode 2. I believe this all can be fixed in the sense of how I feel about my philosophy of "not writing things I don't want to animate.." Another psych change I plan on making for the next series. Departing from what I DON'T like, I really love the interaction between Claire and Damian after Kal begins his vision. I love their little conversation as they get a bit more 'real.' I ALSO like Damian's philosophy toward the beginning about how Kal presents himself. Encouraging him to break out of his shell and commit to what he thinks is cool is something I really enjoy. I think that's about all I have to say about Episode 3. I'm REALLY stoked for some of the action I have planned for Episode 4. See you there! Super Turbo Power Punch MAXED | Episode 3

i did this back in august for some reason. also,

To the sigmas of Australia, I say that this goofy ahh government have been capping. Not just now, but for a long time. A few of you may remember when they said “they’ll be no fanum tax under the government I lead.” They’re capaholics! They’re also yapaholics; they yap non-stop about how their cost of living measures are changing lives for all Australians. Just put the fries in the bag, lil bro. They tell us that they’re locked in on improving the housing situation in this country. They must have brainrot from watching too much Kai Cenat and forgot about their plans to ban social media for kids under fourteen. If that becomes law, you can forgor all about watching Duke Dennis or catching a W with the bros on Fort. Chat, is this prime minister serious? Even though he’s the prime minister of Australia, sometimes it feels like he’s the CEO of Ohio! I would be taking an L if I did not mention the ops, who want to cut WA’s Gyatts and Services tax. The decision voters will be making in a few months time will be between a mid government, a dogwater opposition, or a crossbench that will mog both of them! Though some of you cannot yet vote, I hope when you do, it will be in a more GOATed Australia for a government with more aura. Skibidi.

Just a husband beating up his wife in front of their child

Big thanks to Euphionia for making the music for this!<a href="https://euphioniaofficial.newgrounds.com/" rel="nofollow">https://euphioniaofficial.newgrounds.com/</a> Not that I support domestic abuse or anything but how can I make the attacks look more violent? If I'm being honest, his attacks look somewhat weak. If anyone got some tips let me know. Its difficult to build characters like him. It's simple hard to find a reason for his character and actions. Each reason that I can come up with doesn't seem like enough but then again domestic abuse does happen for the most stupid of reasons in the real world too. So why does he beat her up? Probably because some extreme anger issues, perhaps he just came from work very irritated and the slightest inconvenience will tick him off and he will just take his anger on his wife. Does he even love her? Well, I don't think so. I have this feeling that he only married her to stick it to his twin brother as he was too shy to ask her out sooner. Perhaps there was a lot of resentment so this guy wanted at least one thing that his brother didn't or couldn't have. Overall there are bad decisions everywhere. this is an animation based on this drawing that I made in 2020

The villainous Dr. Robotnik confronts Sonic about his frustrations.

Fixed minor color mistakes for SWF version only. <iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/eZM3_aK-9eM#ngq:1154:649#ngq:1154:649#ngq:1154:649#ngq:1154:649#ngq:1154:649" width="1154" height="649" data-smart-scale="1154,649"></iframe> COMMENTARYI started this project thinking, “Oh, yeah, I know exactly how to draw AoStH Robotnik; I don’t need to use reference!” And then every frame looked like shit. So, I went online and referred to the show itself and these two pieces of concept art by character designer Milton Knight. A good lesson in humility. <img src="https://uploads.ungrounded.net/tmp/img/397000/iu_397394_4226168.webp" width="764" height="317" alt="iu_397394_4226168.webp" data-smart-scale="764,317"> I accomplished a good chunk of animation on a livestream, but the stream was struck down because I played episodes of Adventures of Sonic for my friends to watch thinking nothing would come of it. Maybe I should stream on Twitch or Picarto, accounts where I don’t really care whether they live or die. It’s a darn shame because that stream was a lot of fun! DoodleDemon and I started calling each other “blithering buckets of bolts” and watched Robotnik do a Nazi salute and that was absolutely hilarious. <img src="https://uploads.ungrounded.net/tmp/img/397000/iu_397346_4226168.png" width="446" height="708" alt="iu_397346_4226168.png" data-smart-scale="446,708"> The show itself is a lot of fun. It’s stupid fun. Every moment Robotnik is on screen is a good time. Scratch and Grounder are great, as well. The team that worked on it—including Milton Knight, the voice actor Long John Baldry (1940–2005 R.I.P.), and the storyboard artists (including Scott Shaw! From the early Archie Sonic comics)—did a fantastic job given the limitations they worked with. Overall, I definitely prefer SatAM over AoStH, but they are both very different genres of animation. While I was working on this project, Milton Knight leaked on Facebook that Diskotech would be doing an Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog complete series release on Blu-ray and that it would contain new interviews with him. I had hoped that the release would be in HD given that it is Blu-ray and not DVD, but it was very unlikely whoever owned the rights to the show kept the film masters and only kept the master tapes, which inherently have a lower resolution. Later that year, Diskotech officially announced the complete series on Twitter. I am absolutely going to pre-order it. It comes out February 2022. If they ever release the SatAM complete series on Blu-ray (in full HD, knock on wood), I will die a happy man. Now that I think about it, I’m known by all my friends for being a huge Sonic fan, so it’s weird that it took until now for me to make a proper Sonic cartoon. This project started as a gift for MatterBoar. I felt bad that <a href="https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/771051">the previous animation I made for him</a> was released in November 2020, 13 months ago, and I hadn’t made any new ones in that time. So I secretly started this one and originally intended to give it to him for free. He asked me if I was available for new animation work and I told him about this side project and he said he’d buy it! The deadline was Christmas Day. The night before, I promised myself I would work on this cartoon until it is 100% ready to release. I thought it would take maybe three hours. It ended up taking 22 hours straight. I only took three hour-long breaks to rest my hands and get a half-hour of sleep. A single cup of hot chocolate coffee got me through it! The thing that took the longest in this particular long stretch was the shot of Robotnik running in place. That took forever! I probably could have done this quicker, but I wanted to make sure each and every frame was cleaned up. I do not envy the animators of the original show. Despite how simple Robotnik’s character design looks, animating him takes a long time, especially compared to Sonic. Robotnik’s mustache and yellow jumpsuit straps in particular were very troublesome, as well as layering the different body parts. The most frustrating thing with Sonic was doing his baby blue highlights. Thankfully, Sonic hardly moves in this cartoon. (That’s kinda uncharacteristic of Sonic, but hey I’m not complaining!) I wanted to add some traditional paint-like motion blur to some of the snappier movements, but due to the deadline—and me just wanting to move on to something new—I could not do it in time. The tight shot of Robotnik’s face at the end was also supposed to be painterly, similar to the gross-out shots in SpongeBob and Ren and Stimpy, but after I took a crack at it in Clip Studio Paint, I couldn’t do it. Also, I felt that a rendered painting of a character wouldn’t fit a parody that tried to match the art style of the original show. Pre-production began in August 2021 and post-production ended on Saturday, December 25th. Normally, a 26-second-long cartoon wouldn’t take that long, but due to a myriad of continuous financial problems and setbacks, it took four months to complete. It probably would have had a better start if I had started by making storyboards. I run-and-gunned this whole cartoon and I definitely regret it. I ended up making last-minute changes to the character poses, facial expressions, etc., which isn’t something you really want to be doing a lot with deadlines involved. You want to make confident decisions in the beginning so that the changes later on will hopefully be few in number. Ordinarily, I would not do this slapdash approach with a commission. But this started out as a gift and turned into a commission later. Regardless, even quick, shoddy storyboards would have gone a long way! Lesson learned. Originally, I was going to commission my friend Dyoudi Mitimasa (<a href="https://epicfunnyhahajokelol.newgrounds.com" rel="nofollow">@epicfunnyhahajokelol</a>) do the background art. He is a natural at this kind of sharp, abstract art style. However, I did not have the money to commission an artist, especially at the time. So instead, I leave you with a huge recommendation to go check out Dyoudi’s art! He’s a wonderful artist and a wonderful person! Additionally, Milton Knight is still an active artist and has a Patreon! <a href="https://www.patreon.com/miltonknight/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Go support him, too!</a> I made this background art by referencing two screenshots from the show, shown in the timelapse video. At first, I was very happy with this art, especially since it was my first real attempt at abstract art. The reference really helped! But once I put it in the cartoon, something was wrong. Robotnik’s design is mostly warm colors. The background is mostly warm colors. I feel this leads to a lot of Robotnik’s movements being less readable than they should. Sonic is fine since he’s blue, orange’s complement. If I had to do the background art again, I would divide the composition into two sections: a cool section for Robotnik and a warm section for Sonic. <iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/HgFCB4l9Vv8#ngq:865:649#ngq:865:649#ngq:865:649#ngq:865:649#ngq:865:649#ngq:865:649#ngq:865:649#ngq:865:649#ngq:865:649#ngq:865:649#ngq:865:649" width="865" height="649" data-smart-scale="865,649"></iframe> CLIENT<a href="https://youtube.com/c/matterboar" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">MatterBoar</a> ANIMATION / BACKGROUND ART / EDITINGAlexander Emenheiser <a href="https://ade-syndicate.newgrounds.com" rel="nofollow">@ade-syndicate</a> BACKGROUND MUSICDr. Robotnik's ThemeComposed by Reed Robbins and Mark SimonCover by <a href="https://youtu.be/j9GpekZhhkI" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Turret 3471</a> Main Title ThemeComposed by Clark GassmanIncludes motifs fromSonic 2 Title Theme and Emerald Hill Zone composed by Masato Nakamura,In the Hall of the Mountain King composed by Edvard Grieg, and Flight of the Bumblebee composed by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov AUDIO TAKEN FROM<a href="https://youtu.be/1kCWA4gwOT0?t=1391" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">OneyPlays Sonic Robo Blast 2 - FINALE</a>with <a href="https://oney.newgrounds.com" rel="nofollow">@Oney</a>, <a href="https://patreon.com/wanwangames" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Ding Dong, and Julian</a>Edited by <a href="https://www.youtube.com/user/DexTheSwede" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Dex the Swede</a> FONTSPedro SPECIAL THANKS AND PATREON SUPPORTERSAnimation stream viewers, including <a href="https://twitter.com/doodledemon_art" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">DoodleDemon</a>, for keeping me company<a href="https://www.patreon.com/miltonknight" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Milton Knight</a> for being nice when I talked to him :)<a href="https://suprdee2.newgrounds.com" rel="nofollow">@SuprDee2</a> for being supportiveand giving me a new version of Toon BoomDyoudi Mitimasa <a href="https://epicfunnyhahajokelol.newgrounds.com" rel="nofollow">@epicfunnyhahajokelol</a> PATREON &amp; KO-FI SUPPORTERSAleahAshleyFroggyDuwudeViktor Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog © SEGA, DIC Entertainment 1993 P.S. — I’m working on a new project right now! OneyPlays Animated: Sassy Sonic

All my animation assignments i had this year

<img src="https://uploads.ungrounded.net/tmp/img/498000/iu_498546_8011405.webp" width="720" height="654" alt="iu_498546_8011405.webp" data-smart-scale="720,654"> All the animation you see here are forms of animation i was tasked to do. All of these except for the paper baseball animation were done in 2 to 3 hours lol. Some I had fun and some were genuinely difficult. The Silhouette animation and painting on glass was really annoying to work with since both of these forms can have frames that can be ruined by just a simple touch since the painting one was made using some paint and some hydro glycerin which is makes the painting very thin and had to use a towel to erase. SO MANY errors kept happening and i would say that the painting on glass was my weakest one and i had more i wanted to do but i was running out of time and running out of paint. From all of these i kept trying to animate these as if it were 2d animation so getting paint to work with you is seriously difficult even though that wasn't a technique i wasn't actually supposed to do but at the same time i don't really care and i think experimenting like that made my animation more interesting enough. The silhouette animation was done with all parts being single limbed pieces through out the animation so even though i conveyed the fact that he bent his arms to launch himself, all i really did was use the camera to only show half of the arms and covered it just enough to make it look like he bended it. Working with Silhouette animation was especially difficult since all the the parts were actually meant to be stuck together like a puppet using a sort of pin fastener. But i thought it was boring and made the character look stiff so what i did was.. not use it and i feel like i made the character look more alive but GOD it was really annoying to animate, i don't know how i animated that in 2 hours if ill be honest but in the end i liked how it turned out. The Claymation one would've been better to work with had i had more clay to work with. There's a noticeable error in this animation because of a random piece that comes out of the nowhere but i didn't notice it until i got through a certain portion that it wouldn't have been worth it to fix it especially if i didn't have anymore time at the time. i wanted more clay for the exploding part of the head but i didn't have more clay and once i was done my teacher gave me more clay. The paper cut out one was pretty fun to work with and trying to figure out how i should articulate the animation was like a fun puzzle. I would've really liked to make more but as usual i didn't have time. But i feel very happy of how it came out and how paced the frames even if it was just 2 seconds. Oh boy the object one i did with my Gameboy Advance, eraser and coins. so uuuuh i completely forgot that we were supposed to bring objects to animate before we got into class so before I left home i was in a rush but before i left my sister told me we had to do this so in the span of like ten seconds i grabbed anything that would make sense so i ended up grabbing my GBA and handful of coins. I already had that eraser in my backpack. I had a lot of fun figuring out how this animation would turn out subject matter wise and simply figuring how do i get certain frames to look like how they do. So when my GBA opens up it looks fine but getting it to do that was kind of tricky. My GBA automatically closes when its slightly opened unless its at a certain far angle lets like like 100 degrees. so what i did was that i wanted to make my gba to open and to make it look natural. but since the gap of the angle is too much that it would've looked like it opened too fast. So what i did was that i used the coins to actually get me the angles i wanted for certain frames and as you can see in the animation it looks as fine as ever. It's not mind blowing but i felt clever solving that. And everything else in the animation was intuitive. The piece of paper that comes in the end was a essentially a last minute decision as i thought it would've been more interesting if the fight was interrupted rather than it just being straight forward. Overall it was a very fun to animate and i liked my result. (Oh ya and if you're wondering why it says "rated G for everyone" and if you don't know what my character is lets just say she's funny). The paper one was animated using a flipbook. This was the one where I took the opportunity to use as much time to make it. animating this was difficult of course but i was really liking how it was turning out especially when i was rendering the frames. The day i finished this was also the 3rd day i worked on this which ended up lasting for 8 hours as in i ended up going to sleep until like 7am. This was the real deal i wanted to work on and i do want to work in so i tried to do the most i could with this. The intuitiveness behind it was also fun to play around with and overall i had lots of fun even though i was dead tied and the result is good. I already posted this before on here but this one is probably one of the only and best things i could do that its worth putting it in this video. This will be the only 2d animation you'll get to see from me until i get a new pc so i can actually run these damn programs. The final one you see here is an assignment which is again animated in like 2 hours and what it was was that i had to combine two forms of animation and go from there (i also had to provide a story board but haha no). So what could be better than (and Definitely easy to animate...) to animate a silhouette hand by cutting out the frames of the animation..... I'm not doing that, I even ended up stating that at the end of that animation. Not that i wouldn't have wanted i just had like 3 hours to animate, so i ended up making 3 frames (mind you i had messed up trying cut out like 7 hands so before i could get to the process i good portion of it was trying to get this damn hand right. So what I ended up doing was just making him look menacing and used some of my excess cut out pieces and used them for smear frames. As I was animating this i had a lot of fun animating the scissors since the idea itself was making me scoff and laugh as i was animating this and animating the scissors to go faster and faster was fun and entertaining. trying to get the lighting to make the words on the paper visible was annoying though. Overall i had a lot of animating this, i wanted to animate the scissor talking but i was staying too late after class lol. Even though i didn't really like the class itself I really liked animating in general. My passion for animation is still alive and almost all my animations gave my peers a good laugh. I was like drunk being there- no i actually wasn't but i felt like it since i was very nervous seeing them. Oh ya anD THE SCREENING ROOM WASNT WORKING SO WE HAD TO WATCH THEM ALL IN A CLASSROO FU- So ya uuuh thank you to all my friends who gave me a stupid amount of support to getting through this. Pico Day 2020. Inspired Art Tank man going for reveange as his comrads falls

Saw this Pico Day announcement on May 7, 2020. figured I fry to do something as I read about it on this site. Unfortunately it was rushed. I started working on it, on May 8, 2020 in the afternoon. Due to my job, working online during the covid 19 crisis, which is relatively new to most of the co workers. So making unorthodox decision affects my regular time . Therefore, I could not finish the idea I had for this choppy animation. So I decided to Turn it into a continuation thing. For the next pico day I will do the continuation for it.

On a nice beautiful day the ham has encounter temptation on leaving the safe and clean home. However one must continue their quarantine until it's safe outside. Note on the character - Ham is a shape-shifting beast and can be a bit off at some times. Despite the weird disposition, they can share some good wisdom from time to time. It's a weird video, but sends a good message on decision making and weighing priorities. I hope this was entertaining for you fellow folks under isolation.

------------------------------------- I want to thank all you fans of Drawing Notes for your continued support. Even when a lot of you kept asking the same question(When is the last chapter?). Most of all I'd like to thank my kickstarter backers who donated their money to see this project come to fruition.
Back in 2014 my youtube channel had around 200 subscribers. I didn't always get a new comment on a new video, so I felt my animations needed an audience. I went to Kickstarter looking to get a project funded. I only asked for $100, mainly hoping that whoever funded the project would at least be inclined to watch the film and give me their feedback. I reached my goal, and went on to making the film. Due to the large amount of time it took to make it, I decided to divide the film into 4 parts. I always asked my backers if a decision was alright with them.

Goo-Man (Pilot)

An ongoing telling of my life in art school.

My first day of college, after making the best/worst decision of my life: pursuing a career in art.
This isn't animation, but then again, it also kind of isn't not. So here you go.

Technical Dave-Art School

Thank for front page (first page) It's about a milkman and a kid selling lemonade. Here's a short I conceptualized, recorded, and storyboarded at 3 in the morining one night. Due to that fact, this will either be the funniest thing you'll see today, or the unfunniest. But it'll probably end up being neither. It didn't occur to me until halfway through animating that this is basically one of those "Shape n' Shape" toons that everyone was making back in 2009. It must've been some kind of subconscious decision because I really like those and I always wanted to make one back when they that were popular. Anyway let me know what you think and vote and all that. ENJOY.

Taking a Stand

The moon learns that running from problems is worse than confronting them.

Hey, it's time for NATA again! After saying repeatedly for months that I wouldn't be able to do it again this year, I made time and tried to make this as worthwhile as possible by using NATA to learn 3d animation. This is phase 1 of the experiment. Due to my incompetence in Blender, I'm not good enough yet to make characters with faces that work well enough to carry a story. It's less distracting to have no faces than bad ones, it turns out. While I aim to fix that as soon as possible, for my submission to the open round I couldn't try anything too ambitious so I had to work around that constraint. That's also why the story doesn't make a whole lot of sense, so maybe this was a little too ambitious anyway. In case it wasn't completely apparent in the video (which is my fault), what's happening is the following: The moon has trouble dealing with its responsibilities and tries to run away. Being alone in space is lonely for both the moon and the sun. The moon realizes it made a bad decision, so it returns to try to work things out. It's not a complex story, and I guess it has a moral, so it sort of fits with the kinds of things I've been making this past year. Where I think the video failed most is that the body language of the characters without any faces or dialogue wasn't enough to make the story clear, especially given the unnatural movement that they have. It's a little confusing to watch, and isn't thought-provoking or anything. However, I do think that this video fulfilled its initial purpose. I know my way around Blender better now. Since the start of this project, I've improved immensely at getting the characters to move correctly, and I'm more familiar with rigging and modeling characters. Basically, although I don't really think this is a very good video, making it was a necessary step towards hopefully making good videos. - Dave

Down to Earth

The original opening scene of the upcoming "A Fable III Experience!"

When I started writing the final installment of the Fable Experience series, I thought, "I'm gonna make this one pretty much the same as the others, but at its maximum potential." In essence, this meant that it would still mostly consist of dialogue, but with better art and more varied, interesting shots. I am now regretting this seemingly simple decision. That said, I apologize for how long it's taking. Here's the opening scene to hold you over for a while. It's actually about the end of Fable II. Not the end of the story, mind you; just the end of the game. EDIT: Thanks for the front page, guys!! And thanks so much to everyone who helped with our Kickstarter! I'd also like to apologize for the video ads. I usually make it a point to turn those off because they irritate ME so much. Unfortunately, right after I exported the video and closed Flash, the editable .fla file corrupted, and I literally can't go back in and change anything. BY THE WAY, we totally reached our Kickstarter goal!! :D Thanks so much to everyone who helped! I'd take the button off now, but as I said before, corrupted file...

FIIIE: The Final Quest

The party goes on vacation. Meanwhile, Rick gets the parts for God.

EDIT 2/2/17: Since I've released this series combined into one video along with a new soundtrack, I've gone and updated the NG versions of these with the new soundtrack and whatever other differences there are between the original uploads and the new versions. This was mostly for the removal of copyrighted audio, which has been a controversial thing on Newgrounds lately, but there were also a few timing issues originally, and I've added clearer subtitles to the first part. While it is nice to have a much more fitting soundtrack and to be able to see this in wide screen and just slightly better overall, this does mean that there's really no way to see the original versions of this series anymore, as they were originally removed from youtube for copyrighted music, and now the same has happened on Newgrounds. It's not like it was relying on the music though, it was just there to be there, so no harm has come from this. If anything, I think the new soundtrack IMPROVES this. That's not really for me to judge though. Why am I even typing this? It's not like anyone even cares about this series or is even gonna find it. Also, since I Just rendered off the individual parts from the master file for all of them as a single video, this means that the original credits have also been removed. That's not really much of a problem though, 'cause who wants to sit through that, right? Part 10 still has credits though, but that's 'cause it's the credits for the whole thing, and the end just kinda works better with credits, I think. Also also I've gone and replaced those shitty short descriptions with better ones that actually tease the events of the episode. Again though, not like anyone cares. Quality gets better as episodes progress, and the quality of episodes 9 and 10 are almost perfect, so bear with this and hopefully those ones can be up soon, just have to get the older ones out of the way first. Anyway, I hope you try to enjoy it, even if it is lacking in quality. DESCRIPTION: Will and the gang are vacationing in Lego Falls, and strange things happen. Meanwhile, Rick begins his search for Lego bricks to build Gods machine. This one took a while to get up because flash kept having de-sync issues, but I fixed them. I was going to add some visual elements, but yeah, I'm lazy and it was taking to much time, (also more recently, I noticed I had messed up with something on the title screen...) I did put a little flare in the logo on the title screen though...
This one feels kinda short to me (probably because it seems like there's going to be more of a plot, but it doesn't happen) but yeah, nothing I can do about that. That's what happens when you don't write a script, and just go with it. Parts 7 and 8 are encoded and I will upload them tomorrow around 5ish so look for them then, they will be a lot better (they're a two parter, so no waiting for that cliff hanger, lol) and then 9 and 10 will be up on monday, again a 2 parter, but those ones are more worth it since they are the last ones of "chapter one" and the last ones that I actually made... Well enjoy, and look for future episodes. Also, not sure if it will be rated appropriately (content wise) someone tell me if my final decision should be changed or not...

LEGO Land Ep. 6

An intro for a production of Salughterhouse 5

I made this in about one night, at the request of a friend involved in a production of Slaughterhouse 5 at American River College. I finished it about 4 am the morning before they needed it. In the end, a decision was made that they couldn't fit in an animation after all. Still, I got some experience having a deadline and working with someone else's ideas and themes. It was kind of rushed, but I learned from making it :)

Slaughterhouse 5 intro

A thrilling gangland chase ends in an epic stand-off and a tough decision. That's Mafia life. A birthday flash for my good pal Slintas.
Happy birthday, wiseguy. I hope you feel like making a flash again soon.

Mafia Life

Hey. So, yeah, this. First off, obviously, I apologize for this taking so damn long to come out, but c'est la vie, I guess. Second, I guess I should put out a bit of information on this episode. This one really ran away with itself, probably part of the cause being that I had other people doing most of the voices, giving me more time to dick around with various animation techniques. You may also notice that it's in two parts. This is not an artistic decision, but is simply because the file was SO BIG that I couldn't export it as one movie without destroying my desktop. The second part is mostly complete, though, so you should be on the lookout for that in the coming weeks. Third, I'd just like to give a little shout-out to the wonderful voice actors, especially DruoxTheShredder, who was the efficient professional to my disorganized amateur, essentially the Mr. Wolf to my Vincent Vega, if that makes any sense. Beyond that, um, you can also view this on YouTube, (<a href="http://www.youtube" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">http://www.youtube</a>.

Death & Taxes Ep. II(1/2)

A Demo of various Animation assignments during my 2nd and 3rd years at SVA.

This is a demo reel of various assignments I've had for my 2nd and 3rd Year Animation Workshop classes at the School of Visual Arts, both taught by Celia Bullwinkel. Each of the animated bits presented were individual exercises about different aspects of animation. I had several more than just the ones listed, but here's a quick rundown of the assignments I used in this reel: .:Sneezing:. A character I created for a short-lived Thesis idea, but still tried to use him for this quick assignment, where were to showcase how we would animate a character sneezing. This was to get a feel for our sense of timing and decision-making in something as simple an action as sneezing. .:Multiple Elements:. This was to show we could animate number of different things happening at the same time. "Elements" in this case meant anything goes, but I decided to be silly and take it literally, choosing to animate all four of the classic elements. .:Match-Cutting:. Alpha and Zetto from my first big Newgrounds project: TvTome Adventures, return for this assignment. We were to animate an action, followed by cutting to its reaction in a different angle. .:Lipsynch:. A short excerpt from my short film ".flaswf" about a father .fla file and his .swf file son. Just a quick exercise in character dialogue. We had many of these assignments throughout the last two years. .:Weight:. Billiam and Meat from one of my biggest known Newgrounds projects "Go! Go! Parody Rangers" were used in this bit; one of two assignments where we were to show how weight affects characters by animating at least one character carrying a heavy object from one side of the screen to the other. .:Fishing:. In order to focus on the movement as intensely as possible, as well as to meet the deadline, I opted out of fully rendering this bit, but I think it's one of my best. The assignment was to show a character fishing, similar to the sneezing assignment from the previous year to see how differently everyone would animate this action; this time a more complicated one. .:Filmmaking:. The final assignment for my 3rd Year, to create another film, but this time only 30 seconds. I took an excerpt from "Scaredy Cat" which you can also watch here on Newgrounds. This marks the end of my 3rd Year at SVA and my next challenge will be my 4th Year Thesis, which must be a full-fledged animated film, of which I'm already well into the pre-production. I wouldn't be nearly as prepared for it without doing stuff like this first, so thanks Celia and the rest of the class for helping prep me up! Also special thanks to Psy for the music. :]

An enterprise had the power to alter the decisions of a country. Such strange phenomenon has made the trade wars bitter. The fittest enterprises got together to come up with a new system that would cut off the rising forces of other enterprise.
They come up with a new alternative: An alternative trade system that will become a barrier to all future entries: A method to cut down the logistics costs to unimaginable amount; a transportation system that will cut across the Pacific Ocean; and an establishment of a gigantic city with mass production in mind. But, the historical project holds a major flaw.
For the project to succeed, it had to overcome the natural disasters of the Pacific Ocean. Although major scientists and architects opposed, enterprises pushed the project forward. The project, days away from completion, is met with great catastrophe. The natural disasters of the Pacific Ocean results in lost lives. The lives of scientists and workers are lost. More devastating was the fact that although lives were detected, no measure could be used to reach them and save them.
Major material and man power loss resulted as such and some giant companies file bankruptcy. Through this disaster, the prices of necessities and industrial products start to soar. The world is swirled in an era of inflation.
Meanwhile, Korea and Japan joint ventured in developing 'cell robots' that can make decisions by analyzing the variables sensed in its environment. These scientists have acquired the permission from International Human Rights Association to use these robots. These robots become the first independent decision making clone beings.
Furthermore, the newly built city is programmed to be run by these robots. A community populated solely by robots is built: the Mono-Community. But, there are forces that are against the great project. They are on the move to destroy the city.
They call themselves the "Bleeding Fists." To fight against these forces, it was inevitable to produce powerful police robots: the Gunchest series. A total of 45 Gunchests were produced, but, only one remains. The last Gunchest, Gunchest Vol. 45 fights against the evil forces.

GunChest Episode 06_02

This film was made to clarify why sea lice on salmon farms are a problem for wild salmon.

Watershed Watch produced this film to clarify why sea lice are a problem for wild salmon and to provide an overview of the salmon life cycle so the public can make informed decisions regarding the seafood they purchase. Wild Salmon in Trouble' is illustrated from the perspective of migrating wild salmon before and after the advent of salmon farming. It highlights the fact that even low numbers of sea lice on individual farmed salmon can translate to large numbers of sea lice being released into the nursery grounds of wild salmon. It also emphasizes the fact that although sea lice are a natural part of ocean ecosystems, sea lice from salmon farms are unnatural and may cause serious problems for juvenile wild salmon. The animation is based on published, peer-reviewed scientific research and foreshadows an unknown future for coastal ecosystems and communities if something isn't done to protect wild salmon from farm derived sea lice. Wild Salmon in Trouble was produced in conjunction with the Coastal Alliance for Aquaculture Reform and with additional support from the Patrick Hodgson Family Foundation. I developed the film from a story by Trish Hall and Stan Proboszcz.
The two biologist were also constantly on hand to offer guidance, insight and clarification.
original music and narration performed by Earle Peach One mistake I regret is making the film at 12 frames per second.
Hard to change to a higher frame rate ones you have 6 minutes of film.
The film was made with a small budget and I thought a lower frame rate would make it more manageable. I know this is no blockbuster.
Thank you so much for your support by way of scoring and reviews. Thanks to your generous scores and reviews, (and the good people in charge featuring it on the front page), this film is going from a good score toward a very good score.
Imagine a film like this doing well on newgrounds! I want everybody to know, I am reading every review.(eagerly) In answer to some of the issues raised:
The lice are more or less harmless to the adult fish. But they kill the little juvenile fish. Farm fish are raised in tanks on land so they are not affected.
But the fish farms full of grown up Atlantic salmon with lice are placed in waters were wild salmon are growing up. And there the little ones get invested. At present the Fish farm owners can do whatever they please.
There needs to be some regulation, or self-regulation. Mostly people don't even understand this issue so there is no public outcry, only nagging scientists. If this film helps people understand they will know what the scientists are complaining about. Some political measures (regulation) or change by the farmers may follow. Thanks for caring, guys!

Robots with human intelligence: They have become the ultimate tools and final condition to go out into space.
Although many attempts have been made, robots with human intelligence were not easy to produce.
As the efforts of AI started to feel like a mirage, three scientists emerged from the abyss.
At last, their efforts paid off: A result by the name of Isis-Ank.
They finally succeeded in producing the Ank Robots through the Isis-Ank System.

GunChest Episode 04_02

Never Clock Down is the story of StrawberryClock, a tough kid who leads with his fists.

Never Clock Down is the story of StrawberryClock, a tough kid who leads with his fists, and, often, with his heart. StrawberryClock, is the new kid in town with a troubled past. He has recently moved to Orlando, Florida with his family who has relocated to support his younger brother's shot at a professional tennis career. StrawberryClock was a superstar on the Flash Portal, but in this new city he is an outsider with a reputation for being a quick tempered brawler. Making an attempt to fit in, at the invitation of a flirtatious classmate, OrangeClock, StrawberryClock goes to a party where he is unwittingly pulled into a fight with a bully named Wade Fulp. While he is defeated and humiliated in the fight, a TurdClock introduces himself to StrawberryClock and tells him about the sport known as Mixed Marshall Arts. He sees a star in StrawberryClock and asks that he meet with his mentor, PineappleClock. It is immediately apparent to StrawberryClock that is not street fighting, but rather an art form he wants to master. PineappleClock will take StrawberryClock under his wing, but it is up to StrawberryClock to find the patience, discipline, willingness and reason within him to succeed. For StrawberryClock, there is much more at stake than mere victory. His decision will not just settle a score; it will define who he is.

My first claymation...made with playdoh. Yay! The guy in the background while the shouting guy from Rockstar Games is shouting is my friend, Cory. This took about 2 hours. My parents were kinda busy making decisions for painting the house, and my sister decided to be a little prick, so there's a lot of changes going on in the background, don't mind them. Sorry there's no preloader, I don't have flash. The music in the end is, "Check Yes Juliet" by "We The Kings". Woah...it passed through the portal! Thanks guys!!
