"Rumia Jump"a Touhou Project fan animationBased on original animation made by Goombo.Directed and produced by Gentoku Koubu.Project started May 7th 2025, concluded June 9th 2026.Total working time: 13 hours and 36 minutes. Animated at 18fps for a total length of 362 frames.Original plans simply consisted of a 12-frame animation. What originally started out as a simple practice exercise for Miniatures No. 2 evolved past its bounds. Coupled with the fact that we never had a true workflow to begin with, work soon stagnated. The Koubenian animation craze started out of hatred for an insult (and a threat) to animation, yet it suffered and stagnated from its own unaddressed flaws. Ultimately, deadlines were pushed back, month after month, until we decided that something needs to end. Thus the Koubenians rose up again, but this time, without any grand ambitions. We simply showed up, so that the past could rest. We simply showed up, so that our debts may be paid in full. Two restless nights later, and finally, the curse has been lifted. Let us rejoice. Antisocial is a handcrafted stop-motion animated music video created over seven years.

ANTISOCIAL is a fully handmade, non-commercial stop-motion short film and animated music video created in Gera, Thuringia, Germany. Created by Studio RE-ANIMA-TRO for the German death-metal-punk band Pedagogic Torment. The entire project was produced independently by one person over the course of seven years — from designing and building puppets and miniature sets to frame-by-frame animation, photography and final post-production. No studio system. No external funding. No shortcuts. More than 6,000 individual frames were created using traditional stop-motion techniques, handcrafted puppets, practical effects and physical materials. There is no spoken dialogue and no subtitles. The film relies purely on visual storytelling, movement and music. Rough textures, handmade surfaces and visible imperfections are intentional and part of the artistic language of the film. ANTISOCIAL explores themes of isolation, resistance and absurd inner conflict through a surreal and darkly humorous story. Instead of explaining everything, the film focuses on atmosphere, movement and interpretation. The soundtrack was written and performed by Pedagogic Torment and acts as the backbone of the project — somewhere between an animated music video and a narrative short film. Since 2024, ANTISOCIAL has been screened internationally at 100+ film festivals across 32 countries and six continents, receiving 29 awards and distinctions. Selected recognition includes:- Winner – Best Story (FEEDBACK Animation Film & Screenplay Festival, USA)- Winner – Best Animated Short Film (FECIS – Salto Independent Film Festival, Uruguay)- Winner – Best Music Video (Mannheim Arts and Film Festival, Germany)- Winner – Best Stop Motion Animation (UK Film Awards)- Winner – Best Animated Film (Global INDIE Filmmaker Awards, United Kingdom)- Winner – Best International Music Video (Zepstone International Film & Music Festival, USA) This project exists because stop-motion is slow, physical and handmade — and because some stories only work when they are built one frame at a time. Hunting for Antiques

Welcome, all who venture here!So much time has passed ever since I uploaded my first animation ever (that one pixel animation from ages past). But now that I have reconsidered animating again, I have finally chosen to pursue it seriously. To those who are out of the loop, nearly two weeks ago, I wrote a very lengthy letter ("A Note To Self") congratulating one of my animator friends on reaching a new subscriber milestone. I was really at a low point both physically and mentally, all because I couldn't stop comparing myself to others, and I couldn't simply forgive myself for so many misdeeds I had committed before. So many missed projects, so many ideas wasted simply because I "weren't in the mood". But with what I had done for the entirety of last week, I can now bid farewell to all that negativity, and leave the past where it belongs. This Miniature compilation is the first one, a milestone in a long and winding path. All the way back in late January, I had my first chance to animate after so long. Stuck in a room, with my little sibling, I grabbed a stylus, turned on my phone, and started this journey. Thank goodness it was nighttime, and even though the lunar new year fireworks were certainly loud, our room was silent enough not to wake him up. If only I could keep up that pace and animate some more...Fast forward two months. I woke up to a commotion. Thousands of voices, all around a very familiar face. A man with white hair and beard was in the center of it. He was a director in his studio, whose animations made our childhood. I could never forget him, even after years had passed since the last time I watched his films. And yet, he was at the center of this giant controversy. Curious, I looked up, and realized that he was at the mercy of an utterly deplorable enemy of creativity. All of his works, once taking years to create, now could be "generated" at the click of a button. And the world could only watch, as thousands of pictures, artworks, films... soon were "remade" in his style. However, the world did not simply watch. Creators everywhere soon condemned this bastardization and commodification of creativity. Some even took things into their own hands and drew their own work, taking honest inspirations from him, with honest effort. Seeing this giant battle unfold before my eyes, a passion, long sealed inside the deep and dark corners of my mind, was suddenly rekindled. This time, I sit before my tablet, free of all distractions. I wanted to tell them, those who brazenly stood against the "tide of change", that I wanted to contribute, even if my contributions are small and unseen. And before I knew it, a week had passed, and I had done things that I could never have expected before. My mind harked back to that very lengthy letter I wrote. That letter... perhaps was the universe's calling for me to rise up from darkness, and fight for what I had once lost. So, to whatever force that allowed me to compose that letter, thank you. You had allowed me to finally realize myself for what I truly am, and cast asunder all those delusions that once defined "my life". Moreover, I am also grateful for every creator - every composer, animator, artist... whose work I had referenced and used in my creations, for they are the living proof that creation is an irreplaceable means of self-expression, that no algorithm or machine can ever "generate".I hope you enjoy this animation compilation of mine. There may be mistakes, and shortcomings that I will have to address in the future, but what is certain is that this is an honest effort that I offer to you. Thank you for supporting me, and for showing me a greater way of life.I may not be famous, but I would rather be honest. Let us preserve this honesty, now and forever.

Koubenian Miniatures, Vol. 1

A few days ago I finished Animation Basecamp, an animation course by Alex Grigg that I think is excellent, to the point and very practical, I highly recommend it.I enjoyed so much the process of making this final project that I decided to add and work a little bit with sound and make a miniature to upload it to Newgrounds! Although I need to keep working on my audio management in the animations, I think the result is very good.In the next days or weeks I will upload my compilation of exercises here so I can have a record!

A cat wakes up surrounded by water and must learn to survive.

A cat wakes up surrounded by water and must learn to survive. This has been my passion project for the last year an a half. It started as vague ideas of a cat, ocean and overcoming fear. Then through numerous battles with the script it shaped up to something similar you can see now. After seven drafts I felt that it was ready to start storyboarding, but the film kept evolving all the way until the sound mix was done. I kept learning about filmmaking everyday, going through all of the different processes.
I chose the cat as the main character mainly to save time with exposition, because people know that generally cats are afraid of water. So I could just jump right into action. Plus cat is a fairly small creature and the ocean seems even bigger to him. And of course cats are much easier to draw than humans.
The music is by my friend Bertrams Pauls Purviskis who helped a great deal to tell the story the way it was intended. Music had a lot of to convey in very little time and it came out much better than I could have ever expected.
I have been delaying the release for quite some time, because as I learned by making it, a lot of mistakes made earlier when I did not have the experience had to be remade from scratch. I am glad it is finally done and I can show it to the world. Software: Photoshop, Toon Boom Animate Pro, After Effects, Logic Pro, Final Cut Pro, Brushes app

I only recently bought the 'D&D Miniatures Game'.. but not to play it as a game but more for the actual figurines. There actually pretty cool and rather detailed. It's been a long time since I animated anything and this inspired me... and upon research, I found that no one has really made any good D&D based animations when there is so much room for storyline. So I have begun my own Series known as 'The Orb Of Light' I don't know how long the series will go but I am going to use every character I can in it. I also have stat cards for the individual characters so it should help. PLEASE NOTE that I have NEVER played D&D in my life lol. enjoy ;D
