👾✨Hi everyone! I wanted to share my latest 2D animation project. This is a complete pixel art remake/tribute of the legendary Pokérap, but with a special twist: every single one of the 151 Gen 1 Pokémon has been redesigned frame by frame to look like a retro plastic "Tazo" (POG).This project was born out of pure nostalgia for the late 90s/early 2000s schoolyard days.📦 GET YOUR OWN PHYSICAL SET! Yes, these are real! I am manufacturing and selling the physical collection of all 151 Pokémon Tazos featured in this video. They come in high-quality prints, perfect for collectors. If you want to secure your set or ask about international shipping, feel free to send me a PM right here on Newgrounds, or contact me through my social media channels:

Instagram / Facebook / TikTok / Youtube: @monopirata3000

Email: monopirata3000@gmail.com

🎵 Credits:

Animation: Me (Luigi Guzmán / Monopirata3000)

POKERAP DE POKEMOM

90's themed TV set in an apocalyptic future...

Set in a future where the environment has been destroyed, what remains of the human race lives in domes, all ran and controlled by DOTCORP. DOTCORP covers everything from the water and air, to the law and entertainment inside these domes. This piece is a mock broadcast from ''DOTCORP TV'' - This channel broadcasts minimal content, and is mostly ads, interspersed with random cartoons and shows. It also contains the ''DOTCORP SHOPPING CHANNEL'', which is a version of shopping in this future, where people pay a subscription to this channel to 'experience' what it was like to shop before the domes. I wanted it to evoke the feeling of turning on Adult Swim or Toonami at 3am, lots of ads and cartoons that didn't make sense because you were half asleep, along with a lot of influence from the weather channel. It also draws heavily on nostalgia, being set in a fuzzy 90's VHS world, but I used this to contrast the warmth a lot of us feel when seeing these things, as it hides a lot of the shady things DOTCORP is up to. In this vein, I drew a lot of inspiration from Cave Johnson in Portal 2, and that kind of corporate satire, where you're not sure if it's a joke, or to be taken seriously. The memory eraser in particular was kind of influenced by this. This piece was made for my Master's Degree in 2025, and was displayed on a looping TV, along with an interactive arcade machine, as part of the final exhibition. ( I hope none of this comes off as pretentious I just wanted to share it with you guys :) p.s the little guy on the phone at 06:26 was animated with AI but that's ONLY because I didn't have time to do it myself for the deadline at the time :( p.s.p.s apologies to every artist ever for using AI :(

Hi, this is a music video that took quite a time to finish, but I like how it turned out

This music video was a passion project of mine for the last 2-3 months, I think it turned out quite unique. The song is used as an reflection about nostalgia, and how it can hinder you on evolving. "Grain of Time" will be the 4th song of my upcoming mixtape "Some Thoughts of Mine". Please tell me what you think about this music video and thank you for watching :)

I spent my childhood on newgrounds.com, and then it just kind of stopped. I wanted to make something with the same energy and feeling I had when I played (and watched) those old stickman flash games. My sort of elevator pitch spiel is:The entertainment industry keeps mining the past. Between remasters, remakes, and reboots, nostalgia is one of its richest resources. Danger Sticks goes after a different kind of memory: the flash-era stickman animations many of us grew up watching online, reimagined as a hyper-fast first-person shooter. Players literally smoke “Nostalgia” to slow time, then tear through short handcrafted encounters built around instant restarts, score chasing, and cleaner, faster runs. Think Hotline Miami and SUPERHOT with flash-era internet energy. https://store.steampowered.com/app/4073490/Danger_Sticks

Sheriff Nostalgia

a animation that i did to show the feeling that oldschool 00's survival horrors game me.

A Smiling Friends Parody of the 2nd Higurashi anime opening? Why not!

With how much 2000s internet/web nostalgia Smiling friends references in their episodes, I thought it might be fun to pay a homage to the 2009-era of anime opening parodies! I remember the Higurashi, Naruto, and Death Note openings were especially pretty popular for other media parodies! As a 14 year old in 2009, I remember always thinking it would be a lot of fun to make one, but I didn't have the drawing ability or know-how to make one back then. Since Smiling Friends is still just starting off the third season (at the time of posting this) I figured why not give it a try now? So I did! It was fun and nostalgic! (Plus it gave me an excuse to practice a little animating again lol) My teenager self would be so proud of me for finally getting around to making my own silly "cartoon-as-anime" parody LMAO. I figured anime opening parodies usually work pretty well here on NG, so I wanted to share it here too! Here's some animation process stuff for the fun of it too! Always a good idea to show your work. (No particular order, obviously) ALSO! before I forget, this is also on YOUTUBE! :] Ok that's all for now! :] Original Higurashi Opening HERE!

The series is about nostalgia, loss of innocence, and the fear of being insignificant, taking place inside a world within someone's mind. I decided to make a trailer since I hadn't done so yet and wanted to put one out before I get too far into the story. Episodes 1-3 comprise the first act, so this felt like a natural place to drop a full trailer. Note that shots from episodes 5+ are semi-conceptual right now, and may look slightly different when the episodes come out. I'll have news on Episode 4 sometime in the coming weeks :)
