Madness Exhumation Collab 2 (MD26)

A vocal synth song on Newgrounds? About DEATH?

I remembered I have a Newgrounds account, and realized given the vaguely Old Flash-inspired vibe of this video, this would be a good place to put it. Not much else to say, so... enjoy! Lyrics:If I died where I stand, that'd be just grandPity me not, cause damn; I just don't think you understandHate the way that you stare, don't pretend like you careDon't make me tell you "get up out my face"(get-up get up out my face) Watch it as my dark circles turn into barren holesMy blood will dry up into stone, yeah baby that's the goalA sense of vertigo'll leave me buried in the coldStaring contest with the portrait of Thanatos! Could a girl get some peace to slowly fade away?Let me end this conscious existence in bright and clear dayGot a pressure that's built up inside my headLike a festering zit, let me pop it 'till I'm bledWhat to do when you're beloved but you won't be saved?Take a pill, make your bed in a dark eternal graveHow I want it, cause... my idol soul's getting crushed to death. Tie me up, let me drown; I would not frownCause honestly, "life" as a noun; it ain't shit cause mine's goin downGimme a bit, I wanna breathe it in; ether of death that will be so freeingI won't need to fake smile anymore, it'll be curtains for me Mind gets topsy-turvy at the thought of my old pillsA speedy out of this hellscape, oh God I'm getting chillsThere's no time to write up some stupid living willStop the world cause I want off, I just can't take the thrill "You got so much to live for!" Well, how would you know?I don't see you carrying any burdens of your ownIf you planned to stop me, you were always too lateYou would have to stop me from craving those pearly gates Could a girl get some peace to slowly fade away?Let me end this conscious existence in bright and clear dayGot a pressure that's built up inside my headLike a festering zit, let me pop it 'till I'm bledWhat to do when you're beloved but you won't be saved?Take a pill, make your bed in a dark eternal graveHow I want it, cause... my idol soul's getting crushed to death. "Alright, you bunch of software engineers, go produce an animation" PRESS THE RED BUTTON TO PLAY THE ANIMATION Excuse my Engrish as it's not my native language.
Apparently software engineers of my uni are required to learn how to animate, because reasons. A lil bit of background story:
In near future, self-aware Artificial Intelligent (A.I.) is the next big thing. It is being widely tested on different robot prototype as different form and specification produces different result. Here, Tin is a rather short robot that designed to work in group. They were put in a test chamber to test their expected A.I. behavior, “unity” or “mutualism” if one would call them. Some Q&As if you bother to read them
1. What software you used?
Blender freestyle for the outline and Flash CS6 to combine/colour/edit/render everything. 2. *Sniff sniff* this smells waaaaay too much like Portal.
Because I'm a huge fan of the series. 3. Duuudddeeeee this is soooo cheesy, and that unnecessary quote at the end? reeaaaalllyy??
I hate to admit this but yes, I cringed 70% of the time while working on this. Consider that I'm self-taught, I'm happy how this thing turn out to be.
About that quote, I just have to shove it in in case my lecturer failed to see the rather obvious point/moral of this story. 4. How long does this took you to make?
Frankly, I have no idea since I have 3 other assignments to work on aside from this animation within the period of 3 months so I lost track of the actual production time.
My guess would be 80-120 hours, with most time spent on colouring/adjusting/tweaking stuff in Flash. 5. What's with the odd/uninspiring title?
As bad as this title sounds, there's actually a few reasons for using it:
i. The little robots are called "tin", due to their appearance resembling very much like a tin can - short, cylinder in shape and and mostly made of tin.
ii. From merriam-webster
tin·ker:
noun
an unskillful mender
That pretty much explains the robot's quality. Other versions:

A Flash collab based around Kirby's many abilities.

Edit: Thanks again Tom for front page! I guess it's a success after all. :) *Note* Before you review with "you spelled the title wrong, it's "Kirbies", not Kirbys", Kirby is a proper noun therefore it is spelled Kirbys. Thank you. Sorry about the huge file size. Not much I could do about it. There are two easter eggs hidden in the bios. They're pretty easy to find. :) The Following Animators Contributed to the Collab:
