In episode 2, Talon and the gang begin their search for the true Fire Champion.

The journey towards completing EPISODE 2 is now live on Kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/worldoftalon/talon-and-the-champions-of-saurithia-episode-2 Talon and the Champions of Saurithia is a sci-fi/fantasy indie animated epic series featuring power-wielding dinosaurs (and reptiles), expansive world-building, and extraterrestrial threats. Come along with us as we set out on this prehistoric quest! Set in the late Cretaceous period, our series follows Talon, a courageous young Dakotaraptor born with magical elemental powers she at first didn’t understand. Alongside her friends Kota and Luck, Talon must find the eight other Champions and embark on a journey that will transform the prehistoric world and save the universe from a dark fate. In episode 2, Talon and the gang begin their search for the true Fire Champion. The first step on their journey to unite the eight elemental Champions. But this time, things won't play out the same. There's more than one dinosaur who can control fire, and there can be only one Fire Champion. To choose the next Champion, our Fire Contenders (Rham, Sass, Cari, and Ace) must face a trial of STRENGTH and impress BLAZE, the Fire Master. Who do you think will be our next Champion? Be a part of our indie animation journey and help us bring the next episode of Talon and the Champions of Saurithia to life! We need your support to keep creating and telling these stories. The clock counts down your freedom... Listen to 'Timber Heart Silence' & step

"They existed before humans learned to name the darkness. And they waited—patient, silent, immortal—until you stepped through the door." 🕯️
You arrived in Mina drömmars stad, the City of Dreams, with nothing but a single, battered bag carrying eighteen years of loneliness from one orphanage to another. You walked past the frozen cobblestone streets, beneath the fading orange-tiled roofs weathered by sea salt and heavy moss, looking for a place to disappear. And then, Mrs. Ann found you. She brought you here, into this hallway of muted emerald walls and the faint, deceptive comfort of dried chamomile and simmering tea. Under the warm, golden glow of the chandelier, the madness of the world outside seems to fade away. Here, you allow yourself to believe you are safe. You allow yourself to warm your bleeding fingers by the hearth and pretend that you are not running from a fate too monstrous to comprehend. But do not let the quiet fool you. Listen closely to 'Timber Heart Silence'. Beneath the comforting melody lies a suffocating stillness. The grandfather clock in the corner doesn't just count the hours—it counts the remaining heartbeats of your freedom. Every heavy tick is a warning. Every shadow stretching along the staircase is a reminder that the safety of this house is nothing but borrowed time. Outside, the chilling fog is creeping under the floorboards, and the velvet snare of the Matchmaker's shop is already tightening around your soul. You were not chosen because you are strong. You were chosen because you are the only one who can look into the eyes of the entity waiting in the dark, and not bow your head. The hearth is fading. The clock is ticking. Will you find a true home within these walls, or will you let the shadows rewrite your mind? The playable Demo of Wandering Relics is officially live. Franklin has an idea to get more money in the shop

VOODOO VIDS EPISODE 3: THE CLAW! Well here we are with the third short! This one was a lot of fun to work on this past week. I'll go into more details below as there will be spoilers if you haven't watched it yet. But thank you so much for the support! Newgrounds saw potential in the first episode and gave it a front page position. Truly thankful for that opportunity, and i'm really happy that the short has found some fans. I've been receiving some great messages and really am enjoying meeting others in the indie animation scene. OK, on with the the details. Spoilers from this point on. THE STORYThis third short is based on true events. I was out celebrating a friends birthday and there was an arcade, a claw machine contained these capybara toys, I just really wanted to win one but the machine wouldn't hand it over. My partner decided she would make it her mission to get it for me and i'm happy to say she returned to the arcade the next day and did get it as a surprise, and i'm now a proud owner of a capybara holding a smiling pineapple. FRANKLINWe saw Franklin in the 2nd short briefly. But this time he's made his debut. Franklin is a positive happy guy that just wants to help in anyway he can.. sometimes, he makes mistakes but that's ok. I find BIG characters are a fun contrast to the smallness of Thalia. Having a range of character sizes makes for a more visually dynamic cast and I love how Franklin is essentially Frankenstiens monster wearing bowling shirts and sandals. He's a lovable dude and I can't wait to make more with him. WRITING COMEDYProbably the hardest thing to write because it's just so subjective and i'm not a super confidant writer of anything. The first two shorts required the viewer to have some external knowledge of films like Twilight and Terrifier 3 to really land as intended. So this time I wanted to make the comedy as self contained as it can be. This ones for everyone, or at least I tried my best to write it that way. Some of the greatest comedies ever written stick close to what most people can relate to, Faulty Towers with its husband & wife running a business angle, IT crowd with its office antics... THE OFFICE itself! all of those are relatable character driven sitcoms. As well as referencing popculture from time to time, I need to remember that the writing will land best if it serves what people KNOW. So going forward I hope to lean into that more. and when all else fails? slapstick... Tom the cat getting hit in the face with a frying pan never fails. THE SHOPThe Voodoo Vids building itself is somewhere I want the viewer to desire to go. it's warm, inviting, filled with interesting things. It likely smells of stale coffee and hot CRT's and plastic video cases. I've seen every inch of it because I built everything in it, but the viewers haven't, So I try to get a few establishing shots in there to show the place from different angles. Getting that feeling of "I wish I could go to a place like Voodoo Vids" across more without sapping the pace. I just love strong establishing shots, combined with a nice piece of music, it sets the tone for the rest of it. There is a lot more to see inside, but we'll get to that in a future episode. SILLY VOICESI've done voice work before but for comerical purposes. Yes... I've literally been the guy that says"BUT WAIT! There's more" and I still do that, but I've wanted to get into character work for a while, so I'm using my own project as an excuse to have fun and explore that side of things too.I promise i'll get new voices in for future episodes... i'm no Hank Azaria and i'm looking forward to working with more people. SOME TECHNICAL STUFFThe Capybara world machine was fun to make BUT it was a headache at times. Between the claw rigging, and parenting to the control box, and the fricken CORD on the claw OMG... That was a fiddly thing to get looking right. A lot of trial and error but I settled on a bezier curve and used "hook to" constraints. It does the trick and that's good enough! The Capybara toy itself is a real toy, so I used my own as reference to make the model. I drew the machine artwork in Photoshop and brought it in as an image texture. and to finish off the machines aesthetics I composed its chiptune jingle using a website called "beepbox", if you want to make cool chip tunes and muck about with it, it's a great tool!I was going to model some coins for Victor to use, but I decided it was a detail I could cut to save time, and I don't think it would impact the visual impact by not having that in there. ON great tools a friend told me about WIGGLYPAINT which is the tool I used to draw the squiggly doodles of the characters in the credits. I love how fun they are. FINAL NOTEAside from my partner doing voice work and helping me recording foley sounds I'm working on the animation alone. It's tough but seeing the end result is so satisfying. And if others are enjoying it too then that's even better! Doing this lets me take on all aspects of a production and being indies, we get to just MAKE stuff without having to pass it around a boardroom for sign off on the dirt texture on the glass of the capybara machine. Thanks for the support, thank you for watching, and I look forward to hopefully making you laugh again real soon.

I hope you guys enjoyed this animation, i had a lot of fun with it, the story is just a basic sequel and all of my voices are still rough around the edges (I sadly don't have the space or range to improve so, bummer :\) But i still think it's good. This was my first time animating in a lineless style so it took a little bit before i got fully use to it, but i think that this is probably my best looking episode alongside the "claymation" one, expect to see those styles to appear in more episodes! I'm also gonna do a couple of one-off stylistically experimental animations, like i was thinking of making a simple and goofy TF2 "crossover" called "Team Fortress Groove" where it's a blend of 2D & 3D where the 2D characters have 3D shadows and interact with all the characters and objects! I did make a test animation in that type of style so i'm confident that i can pull off something like that, i got a lot of ambitious ideas for this season so stick around. Thanks for watching & cya folks!

League of Legends - Safe Inside the Blast Radius

A trio of dragon siblings set out on their first training hunt.

OMG IT'S FINALLY DONE! After well over a year in the making, Talons and Flurries is finally edited and finished. It's production was exhausting, with a lot of bumps in the road, but I'm really happy with how it turned out! It definitely isn't perfect, as there are a few areas where the audio and particle effects could have been elevated, as one of my first attempts at an animated film, I feel like it gets the job done. This film takes place in the Wings of Fire universe, and features some Mudwing ocs. And yes, they are PUREBRED Mudwings. Canon be damned, I really loved the color palettes I chose, as I feel like they reflect each character's personality really well. The main protag is named Ginkgo, the mostly green Mudwing, who is eager to prove himself the strongest in his tribe with completely reckless abandon. His eldest brother Gastro is the bigwings of the group, and grows frustrated upon having to reign him in during a practice hunt. Last but not least is Arion, the youngest, and most anxious about his sibling's safety. There are at least 4 other siblings who aren't featured here, but all of them are named after snails/mollusks and have some shade of orange in them. Ginkgo meanwhile is actually an adoptive sibling, making him more adamant to prove himself. I overall enjoyed animating these guys and figuring out their anatomy. I based the main run cycle off of a lion's for reference, while for every other form of locomotion, I just winged it. I'm also happy with the vocals for all these animals, as I feel like I was able to give way more emotion to the bull specifically.
