A stop-frame animation I made using paper cut outs for the band Cupid's Heart from Sask

I made the main structure you see in the video during a sculpture class I was in at university and was given a couple bucks by Cupid's Heart to photograph it for their upcoming project Atrium.A while later I made a short little funny paper animation of Emma playing the guitar and sent it Cupid's Heart just for fun, kinda like "we could do a whole video like this!" They liked it and told me to go ahead. A year later of working on it on my spare time this is what was made. I looked at it so long I thought it was "fine" but they assured me it was special. and got it nominated for Sask Music Video of the Year (didn't win but still amazing to be considered, when most the other nominees were small studios and this was just me). Thanks for watching, check out Cupid's Heart from Saskatchewan, they are good friends, and I have two more videos coming out for them!

Before it became man's best friend, it was caveman's unwanted guest.

This short film about a caveman and a wolf was made by me for last year's 48Hours, in which competitors across New Zealand had exactly 48 hours to make a film that includes certain elements revealed in the first minute of the contest. In 2020, those elements were: An arc shot, a photograph, and an echo. To make things more difficult, 2020's 48Hours just happened to take place during the country's (in)famous Covid-19 Lockdown, so going out in public or bringing in actors from outside of one's isolation bubble were strictly forbidden. Which is not such a big issue for animators, who were apparently quite well represented! Six different "genres" were assigned to the filmmakers, and mine was one that hadn't been in the competition previously: "the unwanted guest". Pupper Paleolithic, winning third place overall, got tons of positive feedback, so that success, along with later help of generous people on Patreon, motivated me in developing the short into (what is intended to be) a series, the first episode of which is to be released in early April 2021. That's, like, next week! Exciting stuff! A brief trailer for the new episode follows the ending credits, so stick around for that! For more sneak previews and details of upcoming episodes, follow (and, if you can, support) me on Patreon: patreon.com/TooMuchSpareTime Oh yeah one more thing - Happy National Puppy Day!

PhonographClock goes into his basement to deal with something left unfinished.

Behind a door seldom opened in a basement scarcely visited, a fragment of the past lingers, taunting Phonograph from the shadows. Waiting for the day it could return to the light. PhonographClock, having been given his quests by Medic, is forced to embark into the depths of his own basement to finally keep a promise he made long ago. He doesn't want to. And I mean he really, REALLY, doesn't want to. Some things are better left gathering dust in your basement. But this is one thing that Phono finally has to deal with. Even if it means all he gets out of it is to reclaim all that valuable storage space. Maybe turn it into a man cave. Oh, that'd be nice. Like with a mini-fridge and a poker table. Okay maybe he's much more enthusiastic about doing this now.Happy Clock Day!!!
