Sim Card Removal Pixilation Stop Motion Animation (2016) HD

Sim Card Removal Pixilation Stop Motion Animation (2016) HD is a unique experimental short film inspired by the award-winning stop motion animator PES, combining action with surreal, abstract creativity. This 2016 stop motion project uses pixilation, a technique where I animated myself frame by frame, along with everyday objects animated showing how to remove a SIM card from an iPhone 6. Shot with a Canon EOS Rebel T5 before I had to part with it, this animation blends crude but imaginative stop motion with quirky stock sound effects from iMovie, Final Cut Pro, and freesound.org. While early in my journey as a stop motion animator, this short captures my passion for DIY filmmaking, experimental animation, and learning the craft of stop motion through playful, handmade storytelling. Fans of pixilation, PES-inspired shorts, and indie animation will enjoy this creative piece of my journey creating stop motion animation. Watch Hank and Tricky the Clown battle it out in the official conclusion to 'Madness Pixelation'. YouTube version is here (which I uploaded btw):
http://www.youtube.com/ watch?v=DAJH93NkLzw This was for a class project; we were supposed to take a poem then mix a soundtrack out of samples in a way that it conveyed a certain emotional feel, then make a stop motion animation in AfterEffects. I didn't want to take photographs, so I drew everything in Flash, exported each part as a sequence of JPEGs, then put them all together in AE. Now that the project's done, I imported the video into Flash and added a preloader and whatnot. Since it was originally a .mov video, there's some pixelation, so sorry about that. Naturally, all the music I sampled came from the Audio Portal, so I guess I might as well list them to the side over there <--. See if you can figure out where each song comes in within the mixed track. So, I guess that's all. Hope you sort of like it!

An artistic piece describing what the blind so called "see"

“Blindness isn’t a disability if the ability is to see what’s invisible to the eyes.”
~Byron Crowfoot * UPDATE * Wow, this is pretty funny looking at all the reviews I got on this one. I'm surprised it wasn't "under-dogged" to death because it seems that people either really like this or really hate it. Very understandable because it is soooo different from everything else on this site of stick-figure violence, sarcastic clock animations, and overly-abused and easy-to-use sprite "animations". Not that any of these types of animations are bad; they just get old pretty fast. Thanks everyone who understood that actual effort was poured into these After Effects animations. If any of the NG crew doesn't mind, I'll keep making these types of animation with eclectic thought behind each of them, of course, so that there is plenty of diversity. Thanks again to the ones who care!!! Please, before you judge this piece, know that the pixelation is due to the fact that the original file size is extremely huge. So, I had to lower the quality as much as possible while still keeping some of the quality intact. Also, like my other animation, “The Apparition Channel”, it is all done in After Effects, except the transition of it being a .swf file, which is done in Flash. I did the best I could possibly do to make this as presentable as possible while lowering the file size. This is entirely an artistic piece, so it has no story, just a visually descriptive motion graphics piece. All in all, this is an artistic piece describing what the blind so called "see". I hope you find it interesting. *YOU CAN ACTUALLY FEEL THE BRAILLE IF YOU PUT YOUR FINGERS UP TO THE MONITOR.* >...laughs...< See if you can guess what the metaphor is at the end. Think of what most blind peoples' eyes look like.....
