A little bit of animation history just for fun!!!!

I made this because I really wanted to know what the first smear frame ever looked like. I ended up learning a lot!!

I found the first smear frame ever.

An overview of the work I did for the Toon-2-Tune collab, featuring Ally's New Life!

This submission was done in a month for the Toons-2-Tunes collab, where the basis was to make a 8 second long animation that followed the bassline heard in this video Find the Toon-2-Tunes Collab here! This entire animation is based on a game I made, Ally's New Life, that you can play here on Newgrounds or download for Windows, the latter having an exclusive Profile feature that changes the game in minor but potentially neat ways. Check out Ally's New Life for Windows here! Now, enough self promo, here is some background on the animation lol Originally, I was gonna make it more of a stickman style as I was inspired to join through midnightsausage's previous Sketch Collabs and thought that would be easier. But that ended up being the first draft of animation to plan out what I needed, this becoming the draft for the animation instead This animation cut a lot of corners so I could get it done quickly, one thing was using the fast pace to abuse smear frames. Try pausing the animation to see how ugly they can be Ally having a satchel is not a permanent design change, at least not in the final game, and is moreso a way to have her toss items without going into a weird flesh pocket or something lol The items are also mixed up from the actual game, as throwing an actual bottle of oil into the pot might be a bad idea though you can see it in the background, so liberties were taken with the second portion of the game's item being thrown in instead The background art was originally gonna be more detailed, resembling the idea of how Marrows' room looks like in the final game, but I decided to stay loyal to the Newgrounds/It's Your Lucky Day version as it was easier to do and not get too caught up in taking forever with this animation

Ally's Potion Short [Toon-2-Tune 2026 Submission]

Really late to this animation trend but it was still fun to work on. Added smears and an impact frame for the first time XD

How the Reze Arc should've ended...

Just a small animation I made back in 2024.

This was a small test animation I made back in November of 2024, practising smear frames and character animation. I just decided to post this just cuz'!

Here’s a new slowdown clip from my Ow My BallZ parody!

I wanted to highlight some of the details, smears, and expressions that are easy to miss at full speed. This series shows the frame-by-frame work behind the animation, especially the exaggerated Newgrounds-style expressions and timing.More breakdowns coming—thanks for watching and supporting the project! A submission for Agora Community's 24 Hour Animchallenge

So a few weeks ago, my good friend Moonneco and I participated in Agora Community's 24 Hour Animchallenge. The words that we worked off of were Time, Switch, and Choas, so we came up with a short about a guy who's about to be attacked but stops time and unstops it to catch the attacker in a horrifying smear frame. The final result was something way more experimental though, seeing as how the both of us were running low on energy near the end of the 24-hour time period. Even if we didn't end up winning any prizes like we had hoped, I still really like the final result, and I hope you do to.

OVERLOAD

Took me about 20 hours of my free time, but here is Penny from Go! Go! Hypergrind speaking & talking! I ain't a true Spumhead yet & still learning to animate, so the weak head nod & lack of anticipation & slight smear frames show, but I still rate this a 7/10. It's far from professional level, but it's a good start! Originally a gift art for Sandy Fox (The lady I thought was Penny's VA) the IMDB & behind the voice acting pages got updated about a week after I checked them, it turns out, Lani Minella, the OG voice of Rouge The Bat (She also voiced Piggy Sue & Bob) was checkmarked for Penny's va, so I went to ask her, she said she only recalled voicing Piggy Sue, Bob, & a character named Jenny (false memory of Penny's name? You decide chat). I was a bit saddned I wont ever know who voiced Penny, but hey, that just means I gotta get the rest of these model sheets done & make each confirmed VA a small thank you animation with their characters! So lets Jam & Hype it up! 🤘 Also, this audio is something I like to keep in my pinned section of my phone because its lowkey inspiring ("I pledge, that I will entertain the kids of the real world, to the very BEST, of my ability.") Maybe if I draw this, some kid can be inspired since a talentless hack like me who fingerpainted this on mobile & doesnt even know how to shade, could animate a character! Reminder Atlus & Spumco own this game, I'm just doing some long overdue catch up it needs to look a bit better. If you want to hear some Jam Jam Hype played over this, feel free to check my profile for the youtube link (my dumbass cant understand how to embed a link on the description box yet, apologies)

Baby's first Lip Sync practice

A kid meets a butterfly. What crazy hijinks will ensue?

This is a cartoon I finished a few days ago.I learned how to draw smear frames with this one.

The Boy and the Butterfly

This was my first time attempting lip syncing, I wasn't going to bother with in between frames but I decided to try using smear frames which I think turned out really well!Original Vine: https://vine.co/v/eVi20jqrgj3

Everyone's favourite DB Milf throws an explosive birthday party

Everyone's favourite milf from Dragon Ball Z invites some guys over for an explosive birthday present.Animated this over a few weeks leading up to Nov, but it was admittedly a rush job. I swear I've gotta start limiting how many projects I take on at a time. Given the short time frame, I've got to add that CinderDryad was impeccable in her turnaround of the voice over; very professional and the end result speaks for itself in how sensual it is. Her voice really brings ChiChi to life.

ChiChi's Birthday Bukkake

So this took me 3 days to do this animation, I think I improved from the last animation I did because I added some smear frames, and I tried to do better timing, but I need more improvement on that. The hardest part of this was putting sound effects into the animation using flash because I kept getting errors, but then I used the default windows editor to add audio. I tried really hard on this so I hope you guys enjoy what I made. I used adobe flash cs5 to animate this

Felix the cat doing stuff

All my animation assignments i had this year

All the animation you see here are forms of animation i was tasked to do. All of these except for the paper baseball animation were done in 2 to 3 hours lol. Some I had fun and some were genuinely difficult. The Silhouette animation and painting on glass was really annoying to work with since both of these forms can have frames that can be ruined by just a simple touch since the painting one was made using some paint and some hydro glycerin which is makes the painting very thin and had to use a towel to erase. SO MANY errors kept happening and i would say that the painting on glass was my weakest one and i had more i wanted to do but i was running out of time and running out of paint. From all of these i kept trying to animate these as if it were 2d animation so getting paint to work with you is seriously difficult even though that wasn't a technique i wasn't actually supposed to do but at the same time i don't really care and i think experimenting like that made my animation more interesting enough. The silhouette animation was done with all parts being single limbed pieces through out the animation so even though i conveyed the fact that he bent his arms to launch himself, all i really did was use the camera to only show half of the arms and covered it just enough to make it look like he bended it. Working with Silhouette animation was especially difficult since all the the parts were actually meant to be stuck together like a puppet using a sort of pin fastener. But i thought it was boring and made the character look stiff so what i did was.. not use it and i feel like i made the character look more alive but GOD it was really annoying to animate, i don't know how i animated that in 2 hours if ill be honest but in the end i liked how it turned out. The Claymation one would've been better to work with had i had more clay to work with. There's a noticeable error in this animation because of a random piece that comes out of the nowhere but i didn't notice it until i got through a certain portion that it wouldn't have been worth it to fix it especially if i didn't have anymore time at the time. i wanted more clay for the exploding part of the head but i didn't have more clay and once i was done my teacher gave me more clay. The paper cut out one was pretty fun to work with and trying to figure out how i should articulate the animation was like a fun puzzle. I would've really liked to make more but as usual i didn't have time. But i feel very happy of how it came out and how paced the frames even if it was just 2 seconds. Oh boy the object one i did with my Gameboy Advance, eraser and coins. so uuuuh i completely forgot that we were supposed to bring objects to animate before we got into class so before I left home i was in a rush but before i left my sister told me we had to do this so in the span of like ten seconds i grabbed anything that would make sense so i ended up grabbing my GBA and handful of coins. I already had that eraser in my backpack. I had a lot of fun figuring out how this animation would turn out subject matter wise and simply figuring how do i get certain frames to look like how they do. So when my GBA opens up it looks fine but getting it to do that was kind of tricky. My GBA automatically closes when its slightly opened unless its at a certain far angle lets like like 100 degrees. so what i did was that i wanted to make my gba to open and to make it look natural. but since the gap of the angle is too much that it would've looked like it opened too fast. So what i did was that i used the coins to actually get me the angles i wanted for certain frames and as you can see in the animation it looks as fine as ever. It's not mind blowing but i felt clever solving that. And everything else in the animation was intuitive. The piece of paper that comes in the end was a essentially a last minute decision as i thought it would've been more interesting if the fight was interrupted rather than it just being straight forward. Overall it was a very fun to animate and i liked my result. (Oh ya and if you're wondering why it says "rated G for everyone" and if you don't know what my character is lets just say she's funny). The paper one was animated using a flipbook. This was the one where I took the opportunity to use as much time to make it. animating this was difficult of course but i was really liking how it was turning out especially when i was rendering the frames. The day i finished this was also the 3rd day i worked on this which ended up lasting for 8 hours as in i ended up going to sleep until like 7am. This was the real deal i wanted to work on and i do want to work in so i tried to do the most i could with this. The intuitiveness behind it was also fun to play around with and overall i had lots of fun even though i was dead tied and the result is good. I already posted this before on here but this one is probably one of the only and best things i could do that its worth putting it in this video. This will be the only 2d animation you'll get to see from me until i get a new pc so i can actually run these damn programs. The final one you see here is an assignment which is again animated in like 2 hours and what it was was that i had to combine two forms of animation and go from there (i also had to provide a story board but haha no). So what could be better than (and Definitely easy to animate...) to animate a silhouette hand by cutting out the frames of the animation..... I'm not doing that, I even ended up stating that at the end of that animation. Not that i wouldn't have wanted i just had like 3 hours to animate, so i ended up making 3 frames (mind you i had messed up trying cut out like 7 hands so before i could get to the process i good portion of it was trying to get this damn hand right. So what I ended up doing was just making him look menacing and used some of my excess cut out pieces and used them for smear frames. As I was animating this i had a lot of fun animating the scissors since the idea itself was making me scoff and laugh as i was animating this and animating the scissors to go faster and faster was fun and entertaining. trying to get the lighting to make the words on the paper visible was annoying though. Overall i had a lot of animating this, i wanted to animate the scissor talking but i was staying too late after class lol. Even though i didn't really like the class itself I really liked animating in general. My passion for animation is still alive and almost all my animations gave my peers a good laugh. I was like drunk being there- no i actually wasn't but i felt like it since i was very nervous seeing them. Oh ya anD THE SCREENING ROOM WASNT WORKING SO WE HAD TO WATCH THEM ALL IN A CLASSROO FU- So ya uuuh thank you to all my friends who gave me a stupid amount of support to getting through this. Rough spot

What's new? New location - The Arena of Arknam. In my humble opinion, it looks a bit unfinished, but I need a platform to test animations of new combat features. Also It was the only one unaccessible location that was needed to close the narration gap. New fighting styles In the Arena location, Barbarian can fight with bare hands, axes, sword and shield. I have a plan to add a bow with arrows, two-handed sword and spear. I continue to work on these animations. At the moment these combat styles don’t affect damage parameter and blocking, cause I was working on the animation controller, so this will be done in future releases. After testing the combat controller will be updated for the whole game. New characters A Doctor - Manual therapist who may heal you with pleasure Helen - She is an actress, a former slave and member of barbarian tribe. The Champion - he is the leader of the slave rebellion. He is big, strong and stupid. A Blacksmith - he will help you to choose weapons before the battle Tattoos After passing some plot scenes, tattoos will appear on the barbarian skin. It’s something like achievements. At the moment they can be added or removed by Helen. You will be able to disable it btw. New approach for sex animations. I think it annoys when you see a simple repeating animation consisting of 30 frames. I found a new approach that allows me to customize sex animations, make them more live, varied and realistic. The movement of individual parts of the body is changing, as micro facial expression and eye movement. Pay attention to this. Existing animations will be rebuilt with the same approach. Talking and character eye tracking You may have noticed that all conversations with NPCs look like the characters simply stood against each other and do nothing. In this location when someone talks to Barbarian, he will look at Barbarian and he will move as if they were having a live conversation. In future I want to add facial expressions animations. Minor updates and bug fixes: - The Barbarian model is updated for correct emotion expressions. -“Wide open mouth” bug is fixed for the “screaming animation” - The skin shader is updated to display skin details in all scenes. - Three new costumes added - Fast travel menu is available for all locations - Fixed bug with throwing character out of Hell after death Enjoy the game here:
