An animatic fan cast from Invincible Fight Girl

Saw a twitter thread centering on voice actors people would love to see play Sonic The Hedgehog, and I thought of a year 1/2 back. I was watching this Cartoon Network show, Invincible Fight Girl, which by the way, super underrated. There was a supporting character who sounded like Jaleel White's Sonic. And with the character's personality, he really did fit as the character.Making this animatic was fun, but it also revealed how crap my workflow is. I expected to be done in 2 hours, not 4 days. I learned a lot of shortcuts by brute forcing my way through this. But it was a relief I was making something for fun & not for the algorithm

Tim Johnson Jr As Sonic

First animation on Newgrounds! This short had been in the works for a while, starting out as an excuse to use both of these Sonic and Tails figures in stop-motion, all the way to learning and experimenting with Blender for backgrounds and such! Learned quite a lot while working on this one and so ready to get back into animation. Up and away!

Good to Go!!

Auditor goes toe to toe against Sonic.EXE. Isn't that FUN!?

Don't you just hate it when an extradimensional entity that dresses up as Sonic and Executes whoever it wants is messing up your stuffs while you also fix the world? Yeah, me too. It sucks sometimes.Enjjoy the whacky shenanigans Bounded gets itself into this episode CODE X? Well it's a purely episodic series where YOU follow Sonic.EXE in his weird misadventures in Nevada where he just does things because he wants to. ANYWAYS. This is the most fun I had animating and is prolly the longest one I have in terms of runtime for the longest while. Might break 10 minutes next lol.

CODE X: Termination

Sonic punching a bag with all his forms - Sprite animation (FlipaClip)

The First Internet Animation On Three-Strip Technicolor.

So….Uhh…Sonic The Hedgehog is back on my animation production after 2 years? Kinda because it actually a competition of short subjects that I created during the Late 2022-2023 Period and been rerelease (or reissue) under my film distribution “Saturn Vision Media Film Distribution” including new yet nostalgic-like title cards. but there a catch but an artistic catch to enhance my animated shorts color wise. That would be The Ol’ Three-Strip Technicolor Process from the Golden Age of Hollywood or Animation that make colors look very vibrant. Because keep in mind that I’m very fascinating on vibrant colors or the aesthetic of retro cinema for god how long. Why am I using an old technology that has now dead for 7 decades or 42 years if you count Mickey Christmas Carol being the final animated short to be produced on Three-Strip Technicolor. To revive lost aesthetic or art from the retro Hollywood. enjoy this animation competition. The series finale to the Sonic Sprite series, Chaos War.

Been a very long time. Newgrounds isn't something I keep up with, but for completeness sake I figured I'd upload the finale here as well. The series finale to my long running Sonic Flash animation is finally finished. What's next for me, who knows. Maybe I'll still do animation from time to time. But, after doing this for 15 years I think it's time for a break. For anyone who cares about this humble little series, thanks for your viewership and sticking around this long. For others whose sprite animation isn't their thing, thanks for stopping by anyway. Credits for characters would fill way too much of this space! This is just for laughs... at Nintendo hahaha enjoy

Due to the recent stuff that has been going on with the internet and Nintendothe fact that they basically screwed over their fans by charging them games that will cost $80 or $90, not making much of new games and instead just porting previous games and older games and most likely charging people more, along with the stupid idea to bring back the Virtual Boy model and charging that most likely $100 or something along with also the fact that Nintendo has tried suing the developer team, "Pocketpair" simply because they don't want competition and maybe even jealous that someone made a better pokemon like game than they could and now Sega is doing what NintenDONT, with the release of "Sonic Racing Crossworld" (Im gonna get that game soon), and even made a commerical where their pretty much trashing Mario Kart World which I thought was kinda funnyand now Pocketpair are kinda clapping back as they recently announced that their making a Palworld spin-off, "Palworld Pal Farm"---Nintendo has been screwing people over so now their finally getting abit of a taste of their own medicine and getting clowned on, and hopefully they will continue to get clowned onso I did this little shit-post related to it all, hope yall like it--The audio came from this: https://youtu.be/YZrErQfqVjE

INFO: This "TinasheJK Enterprises" Version is only MEANT to be the definitive version of the project for (Exclusively) YouTube release. I have been working on an experimental project call "TinasheJK's Animated Shorts (Remake)" or most appropriately in this YT version call "TinasheJK's Remake Animated Shorts" for the rest of November and December 2024. Those shorts will featured my old (Or before November 2024) animations being remaking from scratch with some twist on them and including new animations which is NOT remake like something 3D's Esque look like shape things.....weird things. (But not really, (?) as I'm also planning to make one more SHORT for December 2024.) About S.V.M: Allow me to introduce my new company (or Unique Brand), call "Saturn Vision Media" (Or S.V.M for short) and it's imply/presented for experimental, sophistication, creativity, stability, innovation, imaginative and ofc vision. It will the experimental company that will be the opposite of those media company who really hit their lowest or "care about money". Initially as the film distributor for TinasheJK Enterprises as planned. I do have future plans to make more under the Saturn Vision Media Brand like "Saturn Vision Media Studios" or "Saturn Vision Media International, Inc" As for the film distribution itself, it's call "Saturn Vision Media Film Distribution Co., Inc" (Or "Saturn Vision Media Distribution, Inc.") and imply exclusively distribution or promotion for my animation shorts & more (Which is done by TinasheJK Enterprises) exclusively for this year (AS A TEST), and it was a dedicated to Buena Vista Film Distribution/Buena Vista from the 1950s. Don't get me starting with my HUGE BEEF towards Modern Hollywood, Modern Movies or those cashgrab sequels that are POOR etc. Like it's really serious when they care about "Quantity over Quality". But for this one, I want to embrace my experimentation, creativity & imaginative to the world & my new company because no matter if is failure or unsuccessful or get rejection or not, I will still keep going or DON'T give up and stick to my parents word. Oh, I almost forget, included me embrace the old aesthetic from the 20th century. - C R E D I T S (Teaser Trailer) - Director & Producer by Tinashe "Titi" J. [35mm Teaser Trailer] TinasheJK's "Remake" Animated Shorts

This is my first sprite animation that took a lot of work so vote fairly!

Sonic vs Italian Echidna

Happy 17th anniversary to SMBZ Episode 6!

Of all the fight scenes in Super Mario Bros. Z that I keep seeing people make fan-made remakes of, Semi-Super Mecha Sonic VS the Axem Rangers X is probably the most common. I don’t blame them, though, it is great! And I thought, “I wonder what this fight would look like in my animation style…” And here we are; although, instead of Mecha Sonic for my remake of this fight scene, I instead decided to up the stakes and instead use Metallix from the SMBZ reboot, plus I just think he’s cooler (no pun intended XD). In all seriousness, I hope you enjoy this take of mine on this fight scene, as it was really fun to make! Who knows? This might give Mark Haynes some ideas for whenever he officially remakes this fight scene ;) And if you saw the release date of this video, it’s coincidentally the 17th anniversary of SMBZ Episode 6 (specifically here, for its Newgrounds upload). I thought this would be a nice way to celebrate it, and I hope you all enjoy the video! Also, I both updated my intro and outro, and even used this cool new video editor called “WEILO, My Last Video Editor”, and man, is it great! Definitely using it MUCH more often for future videos, especially for Episode 2 of Mario, Sonic and Kirby: Warriors of Chaos, coming hopefully this December! Super Mario Bros. Z is a series created and owned by Alvin-Earthworm/Mark Haynes. Please go support his series, both the OG and reboot of it! Metallix's sprites made by BluerSonic, KoolKing Productions and VipSLASH respectively. Music Used:- Dark Samus Approaching - Metroid Prime 2: Echoes- Doomsday Zone (Project Chaos Remix)- Doomsday Zone/Big Arms (Sonic 3 & Knuckles) - GaMetal Remix ------------------------------------------------- Thanks for watching! v1.0 — Initial release. Used chroma key to separate animation from backgrounds.v.1.1 — Used alpha channel instead of chroma key. Green line art artifacts removed.v1.2 — Added SWF version. Fixed minor color mistakes for SWF version only. COMMENTARYI started this project thinking, “Oh, yeah, I know exactly how to draw AoStH Robotnik; I don’t need to use reference!” And then every frame looked like shit. So, I went online and referred to the show itself and these two pieces of concept art by character designer Milton Knight. A good lesson in humility. I accomplished a good chunk of animation on a livestream, but the stream was struck down because I played episodes of Adventures of Sonic for my friends to watch thinking nothing would come of it. Maybe I should stream on Twitch or Picarto, accounts where I don’t really care whether they live or die. It’s a darn shame because that stream was a lot of fun! DoodleDemon and I started calling each other “blithering buckets of bolts” and watched Robotnik do a Nazi salute and that was absolutely hilarious. The show itself is a lot of fun. It’s stupid fun. Every moment Robotnik is on screen is a good time. Scratch and Grounder are great, as well. The team that worked on it—including Milton Knight, the voice actor Long John Baldry (1940–2005 R.I.P.), and the storyboard artists (including Scott Shaw! From the early Archie Sonic comics)—did a fantastic job given the limitations they worked with. Overall, I definitely prefer SatAM over AoStH, but they are both very different genres of animation. While I was working on this project, Milton Knight leaked on Facebook that Diskotech would be doing an Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog complete series release on Blu-ray and that it would contain new interviews with him. I had hoped that the release would be in HD given that it is Blu-ray and not DVD, but it was very unlikely whoever owned the rights to the show kept the film masters and only kept the master tapes, which inherently have a lower resolution. Later that year, Diskotech officially announced the complete series on Twitter. I am absolutely going to pre-order it. It comes out February 2022. If they ever release the SatAM complete series on Blu-ray (in full HD, knock on wood), I will die a happy man. Now that I think about it, I’m known by all my friends for being a huge Sonic fan, so it’s weird that it took until now for me to make a proper Sonic cartoon. This project started as a gift for MatterBoar. I felt bad that the previous animation I made for him was released in November 2020, 13 months ago, and I hadn’t made any new ones in that time. So I secretly started this one and originally intended to give it to him for free. He asked me if I was available for new animation work and I told him about this side project and he said he’d buy it! The deadline was Christmas Day. The night before, I promised myself I would work on this cartoon until it is 100% ready to release. I thought it would take maybe three hours. It ended up taking 22 hours straight. I only took three hour-long breaks to rest my hands and get a half-hour of sleep. A single cup of hot chocolate coffee got me through it! The thing that took the longest in this particular long stretch was the shot of Robotnik running in place. That took forever! I probably could have done this quicker, but I wanted to make sure each and every frame was cleaned up. I do not envy the animators of the original show. Despite how simple Robotnik’s character design looks, animating him takes a long time, especially compared to Sonic. Robotnik’s mustache and yellow jumpsuit straps in particular were very troublesome, as well as layering the different body parts. The most frustrating thing with Sonic was doing his baby blue highlights. Thankfully, Sonic hardly moves in this cartoon. (That’s kinda uncharacteristic of Sonic, but hey I’m not complaining!) I wanted to add some traditional paint-like motion blur to some of the snappier movements, but due to the deadline—and me just wanting to move on to something new—I could not do it in time. The tight shot of Robotnik’s face at the end was also supposed to be painterly, similar to the gross-out shots in SpongeBob and Ren and Stimpy, but after I took a crack at it in Clip Studio Paint, I couldn’t do it. Also, I felt that a rendered painting of a character wouldn’t fit a parody that tried to match the art style of the original show. Pre-production began in August 2021 and post-production ended on Saturday, December 25th. Normally, a 26-second-long cartoon wouldn’t take that long, but due to a myriad of continuous financial problems and setbacks, it took four months to complete. It probably would have had a better start if I had started by making storyboards. I run-and-gunned this whole cartoon and I definitely regret it. I ended up making last-minute changes to the character poses, facial expressions, etc., which isn’t something you really want to be doing a lot with deadlines involved. You want to make confident decisions in the beginning so that the changes later on will hopefully be few in number. Ordinarily, I would not do this slapdash approach with a commission. But this started out as a gift and turned into a commission later. Regardless, even quick, shoddy storyboards would have gone a long way! Lesson learned. Originally, I was going to commission my friend Dyoudi Mitimasa (@epicfunnyhahajokelol) do the background art. He is a natural at this kind of sharp, abstract art style. However, I did not have the money to commission an artist, especially at the time. So instead, I leave you with a huge recommendation to go check out Dyoudi’s art! He’s a wonderful artist and a wonderful person! Additionally, Milton Knight is still an active artist and has a Patreon! Go support him, too! I made this background art by referencing two screenshots from the show, shown in the timelapse video. At first, I was very happy with this art, especially since it was my first real attempt at abstract art. The reference really helped! But once I put it in the cartoon, something was wrong. Robotnik’s design is mostly warm colors. The background is mostly warm colors. I feel this leads to a lot of Robotnik’s movements being less readable than they should. Sonic is fine since he’s blue, orange’s complement. If I had to do the background art again, I would divide the composition into two sections: a cool section for Robotnik and a warm section for Sonic. CLIENTMatterBoar ANIMATION / BACKGROUND ART / EDITINGAlexander Emenheiser @ade-syndicate BACKGROUND MUSICDr. Robotnik's ThemeComposed by Reed Robbins and Mark SimonCover by Turret 3471 Main Title ThemeComposed by Clark GassmanIncludes motifs fromSonic 2 Title Theme and Emerald Hill Zone composed by Masato Nakamura,In the Hall of the Mountain King composed by Edvard Grieg, and Flight of the Bumblebee composed by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov AUDIO TAKEN FROMOneyPlays Sonic Robo Blast 2 - FINALEwith @Oney, Ding Dong, and JulianEdited by Dex the Swede FONTSPedro SPECIAL THANKS AND PATREON SUPPORTERSAnimation stream viewers, including DoodleDemon, for keeping me companyMilton Knight for being nice when I talked to him :)@SuprDee2 for being supportiveand giving me a new version of Toon BoomDyoudi Mitimasa @epicfunnyhahajokelol PATREON & KO-FI SUPPORTERSAleahAshleyFroggyDuwudeViktor Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog © SEGA, DIC Entertainment 1993 P.S. — I’m working on a new project right now!
