Franklin finds something odd in the storeroom

<img src="https://img.ngfiles.com/image-uploads/000/001/586/iu_1586310_28415006.webp" alt="iu_1586310_28415006.webp" data-smart-scale="764,317">VOODOO VIDS EPISODE 4: IN BRUCE WE TRUST Episode 4 is upon us and I hope you enjoy it! I'm aware that many people may not have seen the original Evil Dead movie. And you don't need to have seen it to have some fun in this episode, but there are a lot of references here that are connected to the Evil Dead series. If you want some more context before watching, maybe check out the last edition of the <a href="https://voodoovids.newgrounds.com/news/post/1619729">Spooky Zine</a>. ABOUT THE SPOOKY ZINEThe spooky zine is a once a month mini mag that explores some more of the local lore and connects with the episodes and world of voodoo vids in a way that's external to the animation. They are a bit of fun, but also can contain wider context for viewers that want to have some additional context. Or maybe you just want to read more about what's happening in the wider universe. A LOVE LETTER TO EVIL DEADThis episode is a love letter to Evil Dead and nods to the horror classic in certain ways I hope you would find nostalgic and at the same time, perhaps encourage some new people to seek out The Evil dead movies if you haven't seen them. You have to have a passion for old school splatter gore horror. But it's got a great blend of gore and comic styled over the top supernatural elements that are sure to delight, and Bruce Campbell is just brilliant as Ash Williams. I'm super excited to learn that there are rumors Bruce may even return to the movies in some capacity. I know currently Bruce is battling cancer, which is awful news, but as he said himself, "Fear not, I am a tough old son-of-a-bitch".I along with many fans are wishing him a good battle and hope he gets well soon! I'd love to see him on the big screen in Evil Dead again! Beyond this point there will be episode 4 spoilers so return to read the rest after you've seen the episode. <img src="https://img.ngfiles.com/image-uploads/000/001/586/iu_1586325_28415006.webp" alt="iu_1586325_28415006.webp" data-smart-scale="764,317"> BEHIND THE SCENES OF EPISODE 4This episode took a lot longer to make than the others, I hope that shows and also thank you for your patience. The script went through a few re writes and last minute changes that extended the runtime. Having every character in a single episode comes with more challenges, making sure to give each of them a good scene. But I think it was worth it as if you like any character in particular they are all present in this one. THAT ICONIC INTROIf you are familiar with Evil Dead you will have noticed I did my best to pay homage to the opener from Evil Dead 2 that explains the Necronomicon's origins. Making that was so much fun, animating the front cover of the book, combining it with some stock footage of an ocean that I tinted red, and for the "ink effect" on the page reveals I used some simple track mattes of real ink drop footage to do that. I love how it turned out.I also did the narration in the intro, I rearranged elements of the original script to work better with the set up for this parody. My goal was to allow people who've never heard of, or watched Evil dead to get up to speed as quickly as possible with the idea that "this book is bad news" TECHNICAL STUFFOne of the biggest challenges is creating new environments and props. Something you see on screen for a few seconds in a few shots has had to be created from scratch. Some times I over engineer stuff too and I probably could've made the chainsaw without an actually animated chain... but because I did, It allowed me to get some cool camera angles of it in action.<img src="https://img.ngfiles.com/image-uploads/000/001/586/iu_1586351_28415006.webp" alt="iu_1586351_28415006.webp" data-smart-scale="764,317"> Same can be said for the shotgun that Franklin is using. it is based of the same model they used in Evil Dead 2, the original film Ash used a single barreled Winchester, but the sequel it was a 12 guage double barrel Stevens model, and later in the 3rd movie it was a double barrel Stoeger Coach Gun, which is lovingly referred to now as "The Boomstick"Ash famously saws the barrel off in Evil Dead 2. Of course I needed a forest. Not any easy set to build but I made it easy by cutting a lot of corners, the whole forest set is just a simple plane with a particle system placing tree images randomly across the surface.<img src="https://img.ngfiles.com/image-uploads/000/001/586/iu_1586349_28415006.webp" alt="iu_1586349_28415006.webp" data-smart-scale="764,495">I made it within an hour and the lighting is doing most of the heavy lifting. which is again fairly simple. I like my renders to not take AGES. Most of the animation scenes take about 4-5 seconds per frame. So the forest was as basic as it needed to be. Paul's date cutaway was another external set that required a suburban feel to it. so I modeled some simple houses and kept camera angles to a minimum and focused only on what I needed. it was a very short scene so keeping the set small was important... but I could probably use it again in future should the need arise.<img src="https://img.ngfiles.com/image-uploads/000/001/586/iu_1586352_28415006.webp" alt="iu_1586352_28415006.webp" data-smart-scale="764,295">Voodoo Vids itself as a set is the biggest and most detailed because I wanted a space where I can point the camera pretty much anywhere and have a great shot. A lot of time was spent on that, but it still needs work and more will come to the set eventually. Another huge time save has been using multiple cameras within the same scene and swapping between them. traditionally I would've worked on one scene per camera shot, but using Blenders camera marker system I can have multiple cameras that I can cut to whenever I need. so I can animate the whole scene in one blend file. This also makes it easier to alter small parts or fix things in post easier without having to dig through a load of different scene files. MUFFINMuffin the Dog was referenced in the <a href="https://voodoovids.newgrounds.com/news/post/1619729">Spooky Zine</a> and fun fact, he is voiced by our own dog Podrick. Recording his various noises is fun. To get his taco crunching sounds we used a Poppadom, he very much enjoys working with us when there's food involved.<img src="https://img.ngfiles.com/image-uploads/000/001/586/iu_1586356_28415006.jpg" alt="iu_1586356_28415006.jpg" data-smart-scale="764,764">The next two episodes will probably be a little shorter again too not keep the gaps too long between them. AND for the finale there's going to be another great addition to the page that you can all experience and join in. more on that soon.We may even see some more new characters too!! FINAL NOTEThank you all for watching and a special thanks to Bruce Campbell and Director Sam Raimi for making a bonkers horror franchise that inspires fans and creators still to this day.As for Voodoo Vids please share it if you can, tell people about It! Your support is greatly appreciated with every like, vote, comment. It will be available on youtube next week, right now they remain as Newgrounds exclusives at launch. If you want to know anything else about production or things I've not mentioned here, then please ask. more than happy to answer any questions.See you in the next one! and look out for the next edition of the Spooky Zine for some more info soon!

"Vivir Sin Miedo" Just a wonderful night out between two friends as one explores what it means to be their true self. As a transperson, I have been very blessed to have supportive friends and family. I have been in spaces where I was free to express myself in whatever way I wanted. The only thing that kept me in my shell was my fear. Fear of being mocked, being hurt, being undesirable. I experimented with my gender rarely but never committed. Until one day where I decided to go to the Arcade as Kari and that changed my life forever. I had so much fun that night and made some new friends. I continued to go out as Kari because it was fun. The joy I felt being accepted as all of me finally outweighed my fear. In a perfect world, I wish we didn't have to be afraid to experiment and find ourselves. Because without that experimentation, we might never know our true selves. I DO NOT OWN THE MUSIC! The head honcho Cisernos get manhandled by a man in armor for being abusive

"I always knew that i shouldn't have hope. But for just one moment, i wanted to dream." Bola thought to herself, fighting the tears that threatened to burst forth by closing her eyes. The patrons begin to pour back into the cafe. "Hey Bola." That same raspy voice that lorded over her nightmares came to her ears. Bola opened her blurry vision only to be greeted with Cisernos's terrifying grin as she licked her lips inches from the maid's visage. "It's time for us to discuss your work performance." She said slowly, watching with glee as the fear and hopelessness truly etched itself on the maid's face with every word she says. Bola's third eye darted to the right. Juri stood there, a bead of sweat broke across her forehead. Her hands trembling, it was alien to Bola to see the sadistic maid in such a state. "Don't look at Juri, she isn't going to save you. Now about that client." Cisernos grabbed Bola's wrist, she didn't grab too hard or anything. Why would she? The look on Bola's dumb cute little face tells her that she isn't going to resist. "Follow me into my office-" Cisneros noticed that Bola's eyes widened and her lip started trembling as she took a wobbly step back, Juri took five steps back, the maids stood as still as a scarecrow. And that when she felt the scalding hot metal fingers wrapped around her throat. Searing the flesh off her neck. She was lifted off the ground like a toddler, the now heated metal burning into her throat. Bola fell on her butt as she stared at the raging inferno that was the armored warrior who saved her life. The Slayer has returned. Cisneros got slammed face first into the ground, cracks forming as her nose is caved in and lights flung wildly in her vision as she thrown into the window of Sweet Cream. "OOOOOHHHHHHHHH SHHHHHHHHHHIITTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!" Cisneros screamed as she hit the glass back first, the shattering making all the patrons jump back. Some of the maids winced, not in sympathy, but some of them knew from first hand experience that getting hurled through a glass window hurted. Cisneros had been so kind as to demonstrate that to them whenever they got out of line. Lucky for her that she had access to a repairman that was pretty cheap. Cisneros felt the long jagged glass shards impale her all over. Luckily none of them hit too deep. The back of her head hit the counter of the bar, knocking over drinks. She blacked out for only a moment, prior experiences had hardened her to quickly snap out of a black out. Another factor that played into her recovering a little more quickly was her martial art. All Martial Art users have a higher tolerance for pain and damage. How much can they take depends from user to user. "And…thank Veju for me unlocking my Martial Art. But to more important matters…HOW THE FUCK ISN'T THIS BASTARD DEA-" The thought that Cisneros had died in her brain as she saw the towering inferno walking towards her like a warning from the Titans themselves. Cisernos grabbed her shotgun, her hands shaking, the melted flesh from her throat dripping onto the shotgun. she couldn't afford to make another pocket dimension. It would take a lot of time and energy which she damn sure didn't have right now. Hell when she got access to that giant napalm bomb courtesy of Reggie she placed it in the pocket dimension because she knew that if she ever had to finally take down that smug bastard Mikhali then that would be an instant win condition. "I knew he was tough but how the hells did he survive that?! It was a specially designed napalm bomb made in that other realm during a war. That bomb alone could wipe out an entire army! I paid half of Juri's college fund for that bomb!" She thought in a panic (she hated the fact that she of all people was losing her calm in this moment.) The Patrons scattered with only one female staying to watch what was about to happen. She was obliterated on five beers and three martinis and she never missed a good fight in her life. "Juri! Soda! Get him!!!" Cisernos roared, even if it pained her to do so, luckily her vocal cords weren't damaged too badly. Both Juri and Soda look at each other, and then at the burning warrior that slowly made his way to their boss. Each step blackening the wooden floor. Juri's hands tightened over the handle of the farenblade (a laser sword that can cut through most things, she was not eager to risk her life on this simple fact however.) and she took a step back. The sweet wholesome maid next to her named Soda hovered her hand near her gun holster before thinking better of it. "You fucking cowards, all of you are good for nothing-" Cisneros cut herself off, now wasn't the time for perfectly justified anger. Cisneros attempted to fire her shotgun but the Slayer jammed his fingers into the hole and the shotgun exploded, Cisneros's right arm exploded in pain as it became encased in ice. The feeling in her hand was already dead. The sharp ice shards tearing through her veins and muscle tissue. She screamed in agony, and did her best to blink back the tears rapidly making their way to her eyes. The one woman cheered as the maids gasped in shock and horror. Bola's eyes were as wide as dinner plates as Juri had a small smile at the sight of Cisernos's in pain. Soda grinned at the satisfying sight of her boss finally getting what was coming to her bitch ass. The Slayer grabbed her by the hair and forced her to look him in the eyes. All the patrons and maids watched with bated breath. "Who else does Mikhali have under him? It can't be just you, give me names." The Slayer told her as he lifted her up in front of everyone, powerless to do much of anything. And she fucking hated that. Cisernos grunts but figures she still have a shot of getting out of this alive with most of her body intact. "Mikhali you bastard, you might actually be in trouble." Cisernos thought with a grin. "Alright, I assume you want to be a hero to the downtrodden so i give you the names and you get the hell out of my establishment. Deal?" Cisnernos asked of the warrior. The Slayer nodded.

A Rat's Dream by yuzuin_

Redlo wished for lots of pumpkins, but he his wish gave him a little extra

A boy named <a href="https://www.minds.com/twoeliz/blog/redlo-s-gallery-1675969521380233219" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">[Redlo]</a> finds himself wishing that there where more pumpkins for Halloween so he puts his hands together and wishes upon a star. Out of nowhere, vines start growing and pumpkins start showing! But what is this? This pumpkin is way bigger than the others and it started to glow. The boy is amazed and can't believe his eyes, but he isn't afraid and wants to stick around to see what else will happen. To his surprised the glow became more concentrated on the stem of the giant pumpkin and just like magic a girl emerged. Who could this be? Redlo walked towards her to help her down. This is<a href="https://www.minds.com/twoeliz/blog/kissty-s-gallery-1637921655328083971" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"> [Kissty]</a> a girl who mysteriously appears and disappears in random places. She is confused most of the time and will take whatever help she can received. It looks like she has no parents and has been lost for a long time. That alone is reason enough to be afraid but she has one more thing to worry about. She is being followed by a witch and today is no exception. Thinking that she was safe, a peaceful moment to gaze at the moon took a dark turn. The giant pumpkin exploded, the shook wave throwing the kids far away from each other and the witch exposes herself as the fog fades. The children run away from the witch as fast as they can but she keeps shooting green magic at them. Luckily she misses them but one shot in particular got very close. Redlo and Kissty went flying from the impact and started to free fall from a maintain. Against the wind's gust they are able to reach for each other's hand to fall together. As they look into each other's eyes, Kissty sees fear in his eyes. Redlo doesn't understand how she is being so calm and right before his eyes this girl simply vanishes leaving him to fall alone. His confused state makes him forget how scared he was but that didn't last long as he looked down he was able to see a lot of very sharp brambles. Embracing for the impact Redlo closes his eyes. Without his knowledge, a small flower grows larger and larger. The flower is able to soften his fall, and he is completely unharmed. The boy looks around and then up to the sky, up the mountain where he fell from. He sees the witch staring back at him but after lightning strikes she leaves as he is not the one she is after. 🎃👻Thank you all for watching! Do you know the witch's name?👻🎃 Check out the progress for this animation on<a href="https://www.minds.com/twoeliz/blog/my-platforms-links-1600664794862456833" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"> [Patreon]</a> ! I don't think I will anytime soon but maybe? Right now my priority is with my passion project, I still feel like I need to make up for the huge gap between episode 1 and 2. I been getting so much love here on Newgrounds lately I don't know what to say. I am just happy that you all enjoy my animations and art! For example I drew this to hit that this animation was coming soon and it coincidentally also got a front page <a href="https://www.newgrounds.com/art/view/twoeliz/lost-with-the-pumpkins">https://www.newgrounds.com/art/view/twoeliz/lost-with-the-pumpkins</a>I like celebrating when something like this happens by doing a celebratory drawings but since this is an animation that got this opportunity, should I make a celebratory animation instead of a simple drawing? It may be a while but hopefully I can make something nice!

Manware Episode 2 - Rebound || Original Animated Series

I made this stop-motion claymation trailer for Wink's Kickstarter

I'm happy with how this turned out! It was a lot of work to make all the different creatures and background elements for the video, and I think it's my best work yet. My favorite part is where Claymation Wink is shot out of a garbage can and falls into a Gameboy, turning into Pixel Wink. If you want to check out or back the <a href="https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/maxoakland/wink-and-the-broken-robot?ref=4mtkxg" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Kickstarter, here's the link</a> ABOUT: Wink &amp; the Broken Robot is a new open world adventure platformer for Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Desktop, and Phones currently under development. Inspired by classic games like Super Mario Land 2, Yoshi’s Island, and Link’s Awakening, Wink &amp; the Broken Robot offers a fresh take. You play as Wink, an anthropomorphic eyeball exploring a lush post-apocalyptic world brimming with life as you collect the stolen pieces of a broken robot he’s vowed to help put back together. You can download the beta ROM and <a href="https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/894282">play it on your phone or computer right now</a> Story: Wink stumbles upon a broken robot in an abandoned house and agrees to help the robot find its pieces, all stolen by various creatures. From swamps, to underground caverns, to the ruins of a dead mall in the distant mountains. It’s up to you and Wink’s laser powers to fight giant bosses that fill the Gameboy’s screen and weird creatures such as sentient bowling balls, mole-potato hybrids, ghostly fish, and varies species of ants perfectly adapted to their environments. He’s also worked on soundtracks for Gameboy games such as Ghostly Labyrinth 2 and The Beach Bum Pays His Rent With this experience, Wink’s music has been carefully crafted for the Gameboy’s hardware, with catchy melodies emotionally setting the stage for each scene and pushing the sound hardware to its limits. Wink Claymation Trailer

Beanlings race against each other for a highly coveted space seed.

Growing up in rural Iowa without much else to do besides get into trouble, I would escape into worlds of my own creation through drawing, comics and animation. I would let my mind run wild with new creatures, new adventures, and what their societies might look like. This film is an effort to revisit that childlike wonder and getting to use animation as a means to entertain in a high-speed, seed-fueled, alien adventure race. Seed Supreme explores the competitive nature of a highly-coveted and newly arrived resource. Once the main character obtains it he finds himself in a new category of competition where he is forced to claw his way up at every step. He seems excited by this new found dilemma but what will it cost him and his planet? In an increasingly global economy, I think about this conundrum quite a bit. It can provide some great potential benefits, but can we sustain it? The visual style of the film is heavily influenced by my fascination with creating entirely new worlds from scratch. I wanted to give a sense that the audience is seeing each scene through an alien atmosphere. This is visualized by the colored bars on each side, like the ‘lens’ capturing each scene is being warped by alien air. The film is intended to be bright and the environment saturated with seemingly unnatural colors to grip the audience into this new planet. All the while grounding viewers through the use of recognizable flora. This is paired with the deeply layered and textured sounds created by the incredible team of composers at Skillbard. Ultimately, I hope that this film challenges audiences to suspend their own realities and let their minds run wild in an adventure within this new world. When it comes to frame by frame animation, this film was made with a microscopic budget. This presented a lot of difficulties throughout production but a lot of people contributed out of love and appreciation. They all deserve more than I was able to compensate them for and I want to give my thanks to the incredible crew on this project. Without them this film would not have been able to see the light of day.

Detective Pikachu Noir - (Animated Max Payne Parody)

Hey y'all. This is all stuff you've seen before. I'm working on the fifth episode of this but it's gonna take a while before it's finished--I think it's gonna be over thirty minutes long. So, I decided to create a sort of compilation movie to refresh memories while you wait, and to get new people interested in the series before the ultimate finale comes out. See you whenever Part 5 is out! It's fun to look back on how far I've come as an animator since 2016. (Also, the entire first twelve minutes are pretty much free of all swearing. Then we start dropping "shit" like it's going out of style. Weird, right?) -- Set after the events of the 2015 indie smash hit "Undertale", "Delta Rune - The Twin Souls" explores life on the surface. As the monsters struggle to survive in modern day Colorado, strange happenings cause Frisk (voiced by series writer and animator Matt Connor) to question his sanity. After the accidental death of a friend, Frisk decides to go to his friend Alphys (Anna Chloe Moorey) for help, but things get even weirder after that... STARRING

I brought the dark side out inside of you

I get a feeling when you man the controls
I love to hate to love 1-2-3-4-5 let’s watch some planets explode this morning
Those years you thought I died were worth it just to see our bonding forming
Nothing’s better than the fright and terror as we walk the skies, doesn’t it feel good?

I see the emperor has smiled at you
The falcon brings rebels in the distance
The star of death is yours You stand up high with the force in control
With all the strength I passed along to you
The secret of the girl will never be told

A meme based on GonzoSSM's dubstep pants animation

i haven't seen anyone else turn it into a meme and thought it would be fun to see if this becomes a meme, basically just animate yourself doing the dubstep dancing in the animation including the part were you fly in space on a giant animal and then you explode :) here is GonzoSSM's original video <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_profilepage&amp;v=cjseib1W5kQ" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_profilepage&amp;v=cjseib1W5kQ</a> this is Maxakin's channel hes the one that made the music <a href="http://www.youtube.com/user/Maxakin" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">http://www.youtube.com/user/Maxakin</a>

out of nowhere an ovni appears an abduct's you, what to do? survive

Another nice flash, this one is my completest one, with all sounds, effects and everything, though its not the most amazing flash ever, its fun to see.
So, you are walking and suddenly an ovni appears, abduct's you and begins to play with you (not in a nice way) trying to explode you to death...what to do? Survive.
All music, sounds, effects and mostly everything except my characters, are copyright of their own authors.
btw, it has some text in spanish so...yeah. Based on a game called "tangerine panic", <a href="http://www.newgrounds.com">http://www.newgrounds.com</a> /portal/view/349776, go play it :)

Abducted...

My very first Flash Movie!! I have literally no training in Flash.. Lol

This is pretty much my first flash movie. Well, second made in a row, but first submitted. I made a little bouncing ball thing that explodes into a rabbit first... But I'll post that next. (I also made some other stuff, but its all just for fun.) Plus, I have HUGE amounts of inspiration from Newgrounds; including one of my favorite cartoons to watch... Bitey of Brackenwood. Thank you for watching and post if you like. I know it sucks but its a start. Confusious say; journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

This was the project to my A2 level Moving Image Arts coursework... I regret to say that it was INCOMPLETE... Sorry... Read below for a complete synopsis. Brief Synopsis:
We begin where a man wakes up early one morning fully clothed, he is about to have some breakfast when an assassin breaks in and shoots at him.
We then take a brief trip to the past and see where the assassin receives the job to take out the man from the opening scene.
We then go a tiny bit into the future and see the night before the opening scene, where the man from the opening scene is torturing a hostage in a basement. He knocks him out and goes upstairs to sleep.
It is the next day and we are in the point of view of the hostage, he manages to escape and finds a knife. He slowly starts climbing the stairs and proceeds to open the door, but it is locked. Suddenly, there is gunfire and the lock is blown off.
The hostage enters the room where the assassin was shooting at the man from the opening scene. The assassin aims his gun at the hostage but is out of bullets, the hostage throws his knife and it stabs the assassin in the neck, causing a bloody death. The hostage is terrified. His head then explodes to a shot by a pistol. The man from the opening scene is clutching a smoking gun, he then drops the gun and reveals a gunshot wound to the stomach, he then dies.
Hence, a blood-soaked insignificance... Hope you enjoyed the bit of it that was done... Completed 04/04/2008
