A 3DMM project I made as an homage/parody of classic horror films

This was an old project that I did some time ago that also took me far longer to finish before that than it ever needed to take. It's nothing too complicated, I was fiddling around with 3D Movie Maker at the time, just trying to make some goofy little movies that I could use as an excuse to practice my music & get the general feel of animating. The music in this project was all made using the Korg DS-10 Synthesizer software for the Nintendo DS of all things (the tracks were transferred to my PC from a New 2DS XL via the headphone jack), but with a little bit of spicing up in Virtual DJ. The inter-title graphics were largely inspired by classic German Expressionist films of the silent era and the story was meant to feel tongue-in-cheek, like a cute little parody of old black & white mad scientist flicks: Absurd experiment that makes little sense goes horribly wrong and someone gets their ironic comeuppance. For the most part, as a way to challenge myself and to learn the ins & outs of 3DMM, I stuck with the stock assets & actors; the only mod I used was a green screen mod for some of the close-up shots. I have thought about returning to doing more 3DMM projects, but have struggled a lot with ideas and how many fan-made mods I'd want to use. I felt with this project at least, most of the originality would come from the music & intertitles, hopefully that's enough. For those interested, you can also check out the original upload over on YouTube. And you can also download/buy the EP of the music for this video, as well as my other original tunes (some of which I've also published here) over at my BandCamp. Last but not least, you can support me even further on Ko-Fi, and if you have ideas or requests for more 3DMM projects like this one, I'd love to hear them.

a mysterious figure has been sent to assassinate someone

ok howdy howdy y'all ^^. first up I do hope you enjoy this little short that I made. Ok so you may have noticed that I start video with a little title saying to see the full description and a fine howdy to everyone whose bothering to read the description! you see for me this project was a test where speed was the name of the game while still having something presentable to the general public. I'd say that I suceeded in that regard. I started off with a one page 12 panel story board sheet, shown below. My overall goal was to produce something in a short amount of time and seeing as this whole thing took me less than a week on and off and I'd say in terms of hours spent on this project its somewhere between 5 and 10 hours. Animatics are so pose to be cheap to make. To see if an idea is any good and you can change things without much pain and your able to toss things out on the fly here too. I'm aware there's a couple places with things may look weird, like the lack of a walk cycle on the victim character but that's something I'd address in the animation stage, not here, here I just want to see oif the idea visually works. Why waste time animating something if it's not working at this stage ya know. if my little animatic left you intrigued by my assassin character here; then this animatic did it's job. Also I'm able to decide here if I want to spend the time actually fully animating this sequence, In this case I probably don't but I'm glad that this worked as well as it did. I can also safely assume that each crappy story page roughly equals about 30 seconds of screen time. let me know what y'all think in the comments!

【Spore MMD】MOD Showcase: サンドリヨン / Cendrillon - ft. Satari & Pyrotarim

Disclaimer: "EA is gonna be owned by the Saudi Arabia government, who has a track record of modern slavery, genocide and human rights violation. Do not purchase Spore from places that return revenue to it. Obtain Spore through other ways. As usual, this is an unedited real-time in-game Spore footage, include screen filter, title card and subtitles." Hewwwoooo! Sorry I disappeared for a while! I was working on different material shaders that can be used in Spore! And here you can see them in action! This is the Parallax Occlusion Mapping (POM) used for the bottom windows, and the translucence volumetric light beams! The dance today is performed by my 2 favorite OCs, Satari and Pyrotarim! I did some changes to Satari to fix his hair and make his mouth and face moveable, while Pyrotarim got a complete remake as his model was quite outdated lol. Cendrillon does have a lot of weird jumps and unfortunately sometimes desync with the camera. Took me quite a bit to get this video lol. Overall this turned out a lot better than I expected and I'm really happy with the results so tell me what you think in the comments! @PukeBomb presents...Squidward's Suicide 2 I was an intern at Pukebomb Inc. in 2005, where I got to view new cartoons before they aired. One day, while in the editing room, we watched what was supposed to be "Squitward & Spingebill's Epic Adventure to Chowder." Instead, the title card read "Squitward's Suicide," which we thought was a morbid joke. The episode began normally, but soon became unsettling. Squitward was complaining about his job and the recent shortage of employees, not knowing where to turn to. Spingebill began making sexual comments to him, clearly putting The Squit' at unease. We then returned to Squitward's den, with him seriously contemplating his life. Out of nowhere, he began looking straight towards us, with hyper-realistic eyes. The voice actor at the time for Spingebill, @Bro-son, then appeared in all four corners of the screen, beckoning and taunting Squitward. This was one of the last pieces of footage I've ever seen of him since his untimely demise. The sound cut out, and Squitward disappeared, while a faint sound of wind grew in the background. As the episode progressed, disturbing images of Squitward riding slides flashed on the screen in a slideshow-esque fashion, and Squitward's sobbing turned into screams. The animation became increasingly graphic, culminating in Squitward committing suicide with a shotgun, which we needed to cut from this final release due to its hyper-realistic and graphic nature. Afterward, the creator, Mr. @SepticSebi, was called in, and an investigation revealed that the file had been altered just before we viewed it. Despite the investigation, no clues were found, and the incident remains unexplained. This experience has left me questioning the nature of reality and the unexplainable. Just a video of the title screen from Gwimbly's DS game.

This is the title screen of the 2005 DS instalment in the Gwimbly franchise. This entry was panned by fans & critics alike for being a shallow, buggy mess & making a disgrace out of the Gwimbly name. It was a ditch effort by Gwimbly's studio to keep the character relevant before he faded into obscurity. I quite like the game, it has a sharp comedic edge that you don't see in many games nowadays, even if the gameplay is basic and a strange diversion from classic Gwimbly. Sorry for it being so short!
