Are you ready for Hallow's End?

The Pokémon Terrifier has finally been released, marking the very beginning of my current series. I plan to develop this project further and explore how the history of the Pokémon universe would have unfolded had a character like her appeared in it. An alternate universe showing such a yellow "former trainer" with a completely different mindset, shaped by a single event that deeply outraged her. Before the final second episode of The Pokémon Terrifier is being worked on and gets released, the story will continue in another project. That is where Hypno's Lullaby Of Stupidity will be introduced, and where you will learn why The Pokémon Terrifier serves as the narrative's starting point, rather than the Hypno's Lullaby alternate universe taking that place. A huge thank you for your unwavering support over the years, even during times when I ran out of ideas or rarely released new videos. After all, my channel was originally conceived as a platform for original projects, such as my own AU (alternate universe) series. I am glad to be returning to that path, rather than chasing trends simply because I "felt like it." (That’s not really my style, though, a long time ago, that is exactly what I used to do.) In any case, keep an eye out for news about releases on other platforms. If the project comes out on Newgrounds or anywhere else, that’s exactly what I’m talking about! This is the last thing I’ll tackle before finally taking a break and getting back to work... say, after a week off? After all... there’s school!!! A huge, massive thank you, crystals! Stay tuned for the release of the final episode! 🩵

Kassen from Out of Placers becoming other creatures from the webcomic!

"What ze FEK?!" - Kassen, probably. An Out-Of-Placers fan animation! A retro anime style animation of a yinglet (a bird-rodent creature) waving her tail idly, before being splashed by a strange green liquid that turns her into a large dinosaur-like woman, then a bug-girl, and finally a burrowing armoured worm creature. All while a speech bubble with his face shows the blonde-haired Ran is very excited, saying: "This new Antiquity is astonishing! posting an old vent animation with a simple song and short story added to it

A question that would haunt me well into the afterlife. This was never how it was supposed to go. I have tailored a world for myself where no one would care. No one *should* care. No one should like, much less love me, as I am. Raw and honest. Intense and torn. Vulnerability pecking through to my bones like a vulture to a carcass. It was dangerous to get close to me. I was hostile. I needed to be. It wasn’t safe to become soft or sweet. I deserved the suffering I caused myself. “This is what’s best”. The words were spoken through grit teeth. Mirrors became my worst enemy, and distractions, my hero. A moment to spare would only allow the crushing weight of “what if” questions to arise and twist my stomach, wringing it like a wet cloth. My emotion slipped through the cracks of my fingers like water, seeping through the crevices of my hands like blood. Dripping down to fill every piece of a broken, empty shell I’m forced to call “home”. No one could see this part of me. I was desperate to avoid this scenario. The exterior hardened to make up for this embarrassingly soft center. Versions of myself were created to survive the unlikely scenarios. Everything I felt I needed to be, I became. Everything that was not safe to show, locked away. Despite my efforts, I could never throw away the key. “What if?” I kept ignoring the knocks. The pleads. The pounds. The begging. It was annoying to hear, then excruciating. It only got louder. More frequent. If there was a push, I would shove in return. I would win this fight. I had to. I only became worse. I hated it. I needed it. I lost loved ones over it. I lost sleep over it. I lost time. My life. Everything. Death was becoming imminent. I knew this. I still put up a measly effort to remain alive. Distractions did a wonderful job, but every force out there swiftly stripped me down until there was nothing, absolutely nothing, perceivably justifiable to keep me here. You showed up, crashing through my reinforced exterior like it was glass. You completely destroyed my hard work, unraveling it as if you found that one loose string on an article of clothing. I lay bare. No tricks. No lies. Just a pitiful mess of tears and confusion. Despite everything I’ve done. Everything I am. You showed up. … …I hate you, you know that? … … … …I don’t want to go.

Strange Dreams - The Last Fight

The clock counts down your freedom... Listen to 'Timber Heart Silence' & step

<blockquote>"They existed before humans learned to name the darkness. And they waited—patient, silent, immortal—until you stepped through the door." 🕯️</blockquote> You arrived in Mina drömmars stad, the City of Dreams, with nothing but a single, battered bag carrying eighteen years of loneliness from one orphanage to another. You walked past the frozen cobblestone streets, beneath the fading orange-tiled roofs weathered by sea salt and heavy moss, looking for a place to disappear. And then, Mrs. Ann found you. She brought you here, into this hallway of muted emerald walls and the faint, deceptive comfort of dried chamomile and simmering tea. Under the warm, golden glow of the chandelier, the madness of the world outside seems to fade away. Here, you allow yourself to believe you are safe. You allow yourself to warm your bleeding fingers by the hearth and pretend that you are not running from a fate too monstrous to comprehend. But do not let the quiet fool you. Listen closely to 'Timber Heart Silence'. Beneath the comforting melody lies a suffocating stillness. The grandfather clock in the corner doesn't just count the hours—it counts the remaining heartbeats of your freedom. Every heavy tick is a warning. Every shadow stretching along the staircase is a reminder that the safety of this house is nothing but borrowed time. Outside, the chilling fog is creeping under the floorboards, and the velvet snare of the Matchmaker's shop is already tightening around your soul. You were not chosen because you are strong. You were chosen because you are the only one who can look into the eyes of the entity waiting in the dark, and not bow your head. The hearth is fading. The clock is ticking. Will you find a true home within these walls, or will you let the shadows rewrite your mind? The playable Demo of Wandering Relics is officially live. I've been working on this work like three weeks and just realized TODAY is Low Poly Day! So I GOTTA upload it today, right? Azumi has had enough, and enlists the help of a friend._____________ *Note* This animation does have music in it, but the license seems to be fine to use it in media? On YouTube if you upload it, they ContentID it but allow use without restriction, so as far as I can tell the track is in the clear. Song is "Enough" by Sleep Theory

Azumi Has Had Enough

This felt like filler, so I'm calling it at a decimal.

Just to get through the stuff I have on me here for right now. I'm labelling this as filler, due to it having nothing that drags the story forward, hence why I labeled it as 15.5 and not 16. I am not a big fan of the writing of this part and I don't plan on adding this as a basis to the movie, but what I can say about this is that I feel very appreciative with trying to advance with doing 2D Animation in Blender and also working with someone else other than using myself as a voice actor, which is a lady named "Wrenn Devu" who tried as much as she could to give a fair role as a voice actor. As for why I wanted to post this while knowing it's still filler, well I didn't want to continue with the movie without giving a few of my characters some closure to their role in the movie. Like I said I don't have plans on placing this as a point in the movie with how much I find it as filler but I do plan on making myself work better alongside others including "Wrenn Devu", as due to how much fun I've had with her in helping her voice one of my characters I might give her a role for a non-filler part of the movie, so that she can have some form of credit where I think it should be due. Another thing I forgot to note is with yellow skin lady named Angela, as I didn't bother to change her template voice not just because I'm lazy, but to play on the joke of "only men can be jerks."

Consuls.mov - Part 15.5

Because of my school and its teaching methods, this was animated on 4600 sheets of paper (On 2s, but often on 3-5 layers of animation). Also, my protagonist has one eye because I was legit afraid of animating faces back then. This was fun, all in all, but I wish my college back then was more inclined to encourage limited-animation techniques and more software. I had to buy a 10 year old giant scanner just to scan the 12-field Acme paper on our traditional animation desks.Safe to say, 4600 drawings makes animation an intimidating traumatic experience, so I stuck to being a story board artist and writer for the rest of my career. Still, feels magical when I allow myself to BE an animator again. If any of you like my art, you can go to Mattoons.com to contact me.

Hello everyone! You’ve been waiting for this for a long time, and now it’s finally here- meet Azumi the kitsune, now officially added to the gameYou were the ones who chose her name and hair color, so now she’s officially checking into the hotel 😏Sadly, the hair color switching feature will be added in the next update so I don’t delay this one any longer. Turns out I need to rework the character attachment system a bit for that- when I originally made it, I never even thought I’d be changing hairstyles :)Since the character comes from Japanese mythology, and people have been asking about adding Japanese language support for a while now, I decided to make this update a bit thematic.I also really want to give her more tails in customization- currently thinking about the best way to implement thatOverall, I think the character turned out really colorful and expressive. And if only you could see her kimono… but that’s for later, I don’t want to spoil everything yet 😏Besides Azumi, I also reworked all the latest toys added to the game- I wasn’t really happy with how they behaved in VR.I also replaced Mary’s hair, and now she looks much more blonde since the old hair color had too much of a yellow tint.Anyway, that’s all for this update! The next update will most likely focus on bed deformation and mattress physics in the game, so stay tuned 👀And yes… we’ve already started texturing a new character, so expect another announcement soon ❤️ Update build info:<ul><li>New character Azumi has been added</li><li>Japanese language has been added to the game.</li><li>New hair added for Mary</li></ul> Fixed:<ul><li>Fixed squirt color to be more transparent</li><li>Fixed the latest horse toys</li></ul><a href="https://www.patreon.com/elera" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Patreon</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/ewoera" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Twitter</a> <a href="https://discord.gg/Mkj8sFw" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Discord</a>Music licensed via Wondershare Filmora

What goes on in the AAHW when Hank is not a threat...

80 seconds long at 15 FPS, most likely my longest Flash animation yet, which I got inspired to make after Alpha in the N51 Reserve (Iliketosee on NG) drew an image similar to this. I kept things simple style-wise but I experimented with a couple camera angles, and I even made the preloader, because I wanted one with a yellow Soldat, and not a regular Grunt or Hank. (i will post the preloader .fla on request, but it's a bit unoptomized) Worked on from: 18 May - 24 May.Credits at the end of the film. If you want some more context before watching, maybe check out the last edition of the <a href="https://voodoovids.newgrounds.com/news/post/1619729">Spooky Zine</a>. ABOUT THE SPOOKY ZINEThe spooky zine is a once a month mini mag that explores some more of the local lore and connects with the episodes and world of voodoo vids in a way that's external to the animation. They are a bit of fun, but also can contain wider context for viewers that want to have some additional context. Or maybe you just want to read more about what's happening in the wider universe. A LOVE LETTER TO EVIL DEADThis episode is a love letter to Evil Dead and nods to the horror classic in certain ways I hope you would find nostalgic and at the same time, perhaps encourage some new people to seek out The Evil dead movies if you haven't seen them. You have to have a passion for old school splatter gore horror. But it's got a great blend of gore and comic styled over the top supernatural elements that are sure to delight, and Bruce Campbell is just brilliant as Ash Williams. I'm super excited to learn that there are rumors Bruce may even return to the movies in some capacity. I know currently Bruce is battling cancer, which is awful news, but as he said himself, "Fear not, I am a tough old son-of-a-bitch".I along with many fans are wishing him a good battle and hope he gets well soon! I'd love to see him on the big screen in Evil Dead again! Beyond this point there will be episode 4 spoilers so return to read the rest after you've seen the episode. <img src="https://img.ngfiles.com/image-uploads/000/001/586/iu_1586325_28415006.webp" alt="iu_1586325_28415006.webp" data-smart-scale="764,317"> BEHIND THE SCENES OF EPISODE 4This episode took a lot longer to make than the others, I hope that shows and also thank you for your patience. The script went through a few re writes and last minute changes that extended the runtime. Having every character in a single episode comes with more challenges, making sure to give each of them a good scene. But I think it was worth it as if you like any character in particular they are all present in this one. THAT ICONIC INTROIf you are familiar with Evil Dead you will have noticed I did my best to pay homage to the opener from Evil Dead 2 that explains the Necronomicon's origins. Making that was so much fun, animating the front cover of the book, combining it with some stock footage of an ocean that I tinted red, and for the "ink effect" on the page reveals I used some simple track mattes of real ink drop footage to do that. I love how it turned out.I also did the narration in the intro, I rearranged elements of the original script to work better with the set up for this parody. My goal was to allow people who've never heard of, or watched Evil dead to get up to speed as quickly as possible with the idea that "this book is bad news" TECHNICAL STUFFOne of the biggest challenges is creating new environments and props. Something you see on screen for a few seconds in a few shots has had to be created from scratch. Some times I over engineer stuff too and I probably could've made the chainsaw without an actually animated chain... but because I did, It allowed me to get some cool camera angles of it in action.<img src="https://img.ngfiles.com/image-uploads/000/001/586/iu_1586351_28415006.webp" alt="iu_1586351_28415006.webp" data-smart-scale="764,317"> Same can be said for the shotgun that Franklin is using. it is based of the same model they used in Evil Dead 2, the original film Ash used a single barreled Winchester, but the sequel it was a 12 guage double barrel Stevens model, and later in the 3rd movie it was a double barrel Stoeger Coach Gun, which is lovingly referred to now as "The Boomstick"Ash famously saws the barrel off in Evil Dead 2. Of course I needed a forest. Not any easy set to build but I made it easy by cutting a lot of corners, the whole forest set is just a simple plane with a particle system placing tree images randomly across the surface.<img src="https://img.ngfiles.com/image-uploads/000/001/586/iu_1586349_28415006.webp" alt="iu_1586349_28415006.webp" data-smart-scale="764,495">I made it within an hour and the lighting is doing most of the heavy lifting. which is again fairly simple. I like my renders to not take AGES. Most of the animation scenes take about 4-5 seconds per frame. So the forest was as basic as it needed to be. Paul's date cutaway was another external set that required a suburban feel to it. so I modeled some simple houses and kept camera angles to a minimum and focused only on what I needed. it was a very short scene so keeping the set small was important... but I could probably use it again in future should the need arise.<img src="https://img.ngfiles.com/image-uploads/000/001/586/iu_1586352_28415006.webp" alt="iu_1586352_28415006.webp" data-smart-scale="764,295">Voodoo Vids itself as a set is the biggest and most detailed because I wanted a space where I can point the camera pretty much anywhere and have a great shot. A lot of time was spent on that, but it still needs work and more will come to the set eventually. Another huge time save has been using multiple cameras within the same scene and swapping between them. traditionally I would've worked on one scene per camera shot, but using Blenders camera marker system I can have multiple cameras that I can cut to whenever I need. so I can animate the whole scene in one blend file. This also makes it easier to alter small parts or fix things in post easier without having to dig through a load of different scene files. MUFFINMuffin the Dog was referenced in the <a href="https://voodoovids.newgrounds.com/news/post/1619729">Spooky Zine</a> and fun fact, he is voiced by our own dog Podrick. Recording his various noises is fun. To get his taco crunching sounds we used a Poppadom, he very much enjoys working with us when there's food involved.<img src="https://img.ngfiles.com/image-uploads/000/001/586/iu_1586356_28415006.jpg" alt="iu_1586356_28415006.jpg" data-smart-scale="764,764">The next two episodes will probably be a little shorter again too not keep the gaps too long between them. AND for the finale there's going to be another great addition to the page that you can all experience and join in. more on that soon.We may even see some more new characters too!!
