Description
The Absolute Solver, otherwise known as the Solver of the Absolute Fabric or just the Solver, is the overarching antagonist of Murder Drones. It is a formless, extremely hostile, artificially intelligent, eldritch entity that can possess sentient machines and force them to aid it in its goal of consuming entire planets through the creation of singularities called NULLs. In doing so, it grants them a plethora of abilities in the process like telekinesis, reality warping via glyphs, and regeneration, while leaving them with an unfortunate vulnerability to overheating that can only be prevented by consuming Worker Drone oil, much like the Disassembly Drones. While it is an extremely powerful, dangerous, and sadistic devourer of worlds and a highly skilled combatant, it displays a snarky, sarcastic attitude, typically pronouncing its actions and attacks aloud before doing them. spoiler
The Solver is the creator of the Disassembly Drones, having modified normal Worker Drones into powerful, bloodthirsty killing machines after possessing the improperly disposed body of their fellow Worker Drone-turned-Zombie Drone Cyn. After using them to exterminate all life on Earth before consuming it, the Solver wiped the Disassembly Drones' memories and implanted false memories of their true creators, the interstellar conglomerate JCJenson, ordering them to eradicate the Worker Drone population on the exoplanet Copper 9 which, following the catastrophic collapse of its core that annihilated all organic life, was reduced to a barren wasteland suffering an eternal winter. Sent to the planet, they were told that the Worker Drones were all corrupted, and that JCJenson wasn't fond of the idea of sentient, independent robots "rebelling" against their creators. This was soon discovered to be a lie manufactured by the Absolute Solver (through Cyn) in an attempt to destroy the Crucifix Patch, a USB containing a program to block the Solver's ability to control its hosts, the only thing that could prevent the Solver from sating its hunger.spoiler
It was also later revealed that it was the Solver who instigated the implosion of Copper 9's core, having possessed Uzi's mother Nori Doorman and using her to slaughter the humans at Camp 98.7 and create a NULL to consume Copper 9's core. However, before it could use the NULL, fellow Solver Host Yeva threw the Crucifix Patch into Nori's visor, permanently cutting off the Solver's control of her. But the Solver still had command of the arm holding the NULL, so Yeva cut it off, though she could not stop the NULL from reaching the planet's core, causing it to implode and kill all remaining humans on the planet. Nori and Yeva would retain their Solver abilities, later passing them on to their daughters Uzi and Doll, respectively.
