Description

Disassembly Drones, also known by the titular name Murder Drones, are autonomous, sentient robots that were programmed to slaughter rogue Worker Drones. They are very similar aesthetically to Worker Drones, with the key differences being their white/silver hair, their visors displaying primarily yellow eyes, thicker limbs, black headbands with five bulbs on them full of glowing yellow liquid, and a long, wire-thin tail ending in a syringe.
They have a limited ability to transform their bodies, capable of growing a pair of bladed wings for flight and switching their hands out for different weapons, namely clawed hands, swords, chainsaws, submachine guns, energy cannons, missile launchers, and EMP generators. The tail syringe of a Disassembly Drone is filled with an extremely corrosive nanite acid that can eat through almost any material, though it can be neutralized (and the damage repaired) by the drone's own saliva. Disassembly Drones display strength superior to the already impressively strong Worker Drones, the ability to regenerate from damage up to a certain extent, and sharp fangs for piercing flesh, bone, metal, and ceramic. They can remotely manipulate their own severed body parts and use the bulbs on their headbands as secondary optical sensors. Due to their redesign, their cooling systems are so weak that overheating spells certain death; not even the sub-zero temperatures of Copper 9 post-core collapse helps to cool them down. Thus, they must kill Worker Drones and drink their spilled oil in order to survive. Furthering their similarities to vampires, even slight contact with sunlight can cause overheating, so they tend to stick to the shadows.
There are three known Disassembly Drones, their squad composed of Serial Designation N, Serial Designation V, and Serial Designation J.
spoilerThey were originally Worker Drones who served the humans of Elliott Manor. However, following the improper disposal of their fellow Worker Drone Cyn and her body's possession by the eldritch AI, the Absolute Solver, they were taken and reconfigured into brutal killing machines with a ravenous craving for human flesh, which they utilized to exterminate all of humanity on Earth, allowing the Solver to devour the planet from within. Following that, the Solver wiped the drones' memories and sent them to Copper 9 with fake memories of being ordered by JCJenson to dispose of the "corrupted" Worker Drones. This was later discovered to be merely a ruse constructed by the Solver, as it sought only to eliminate other Solver Hosts who could halt its plan to consume the exoplanet by using the Crucifix Patch, a USB that contains a program to permanently shield a Solver Host from possession by the Solver.
