Description

Ambient birds are small subtle birds found off in the distance in an image. Removing an ambient bird would do little to change the feel of an image. They're mostly just there to make the world feel a little more alive. If the main character is interacting with or touching the bird in question, it's probably not an ambient bird.

General guidelines

  • Ambient creatures do not count as characters.
  • Do not use ambient creature tags to describe ambient animal sounds. Use animal_noises ambient_noises for sounds and ambient creature tags for visible creatures.
  • Not all flying creatures are birds, or even avians for that matter. Bats are mammals. Flying dragons such as wyverns aren't birds.
    • Use the ambient_flier tag to generally describe any ambient creature that is flying, including ambient birds.
  • Unless a non-ambient bird is also depicted, bird SHOULD NOT be tagged.
