spoiler
Auron is in fact a ghost; after Braska's death, he attempted to take vengeance on Yunalesca, but was killed by her. However, for all intents and purposes he functions like a flesh-and-blood human. After Yuna defeats Sin, he requests she send him to the afterlife. He can be visited on the Farplane in Final Fantasy X-2.Auron fights with a greatsword, and his abilities revolve around protecting allies and enduring damage.
