The distinct appearance and structure that the clitoris takes on due to the presence of high testosterone.
Features
The following list details which physical attributes that a clitoris tagged with enhanced_clitoris may display. All of these features and their prominence rely on genes, so the enhanced clitoris may not possess all of the following, but possesses enough of these features to be visually distinct from the typical clitoris.
  • thick clitoris - The overall body of the clitoris is thicker, more robust.
  • long clitoris - The length, from root to tip- the entire structure of the clitoris- is longer.
  • veiny clitoris - Due to the added length and girth, the clitoris may display vascularity along the hood.
  • big clitoral glans - The clitoral glans appears to be wider and longer, more penile in shape- and may display a prominent corona when erect
  • The clitoral glans' underside cleaves down the middle, much like the penile glans does right above the frenulum. Due to a larger clitoral glans, a prominent clitoral slit may be formed along the clitoral glans.
  • The clitoral hood does not wrap all the way around the clitoris. The underside of the clitoris is composed of a delicate strip of highly sensitive tissue, like a groove. The length of this strip depends on the length of the clitoris- a longer clitoris will have an equally long strip.
      • That strip is framed by the inner labia, which joins to the clefts of the clitoral glans.
          • The clitoral hood itself may be thicker, adding to the overall girth of the clitoris, and appearing to bulge around the clitoral glans.
  • The inner labia may also appear thicker and longer, draping or wrinkling along the full length of the underside of the clitoris, all the way to the glans.
  • Very prominent erections, the entire clitoris protrudes when stimulated due to the presence of a lot more erectile tissue.
  • There are ligaments that tie the clitoris to the pubic bone. The clitoris may reach a length, girth, or level of protrusion that exceeds the capacity of these ligaments, and this causes the clitoris- especially when erect- to strain and arch downwards. This may create a concavity, where the clitoris and inner labia create a hood which hides the urethra and vagina from view.
      • Due to the discomfort that this may cause, clitoral release (the first steps in a metoidioplasty can be preformed to disconnect the clitoris from the pubic bones, allowing it to freely protrude outwards or upwards.
Note that this tag is not about the size of the clitoris alone, this tag is not a size descriptor like the tags big_clitoris/huge_clitoris/hyper_clitoris are. It is a descriptor of a series of features, size among them.
The name of the tag comes from "testosterone enhanced clitoris".
The size/prominence required for a clitoris to be tagged with enhanced_clitoris, and what makes enhanced_clitoris different than hyper_clitoris:
A rule of thumb to follow is that if the character is neutrally standing upright, and the clitoris protrudes enough to create a visible bulge were they wearing non-form fitting underwear (with exceptions for overweight characters), then it ought to be tagged enhanced_clitoris. This means that a clitoris could be smaller, or larger, and still be tagged as enhanced clitoris. Here are examples that follow this rule:

Regarding hyper clitoris- these tags describe different features that can and do overlap. While enhanced clitoris refers to a distinct type of clitoris emerging as a biological phenomenon, hyper clitoris exists solely in the realm of fantasy, defined by oversizing.
The key to determining if a post should be tagged with both is by examining the structure of the clitoris.
Is the hyper clitoris more phallic in nature, retaining the general structure of an enhanced clitoris (thick clitoral glans covered by a clitoral hood, with the labia minora connecting up to, or just before, the glans, along the sides under of the shaft of the clitoris)?
Or is the hyper clitoris blowing out of proportions, to an anatomically disproportionate degree, a typical looking clitoris?

Why not just use enlarged_clitoris? Enlarged_clitoris is a useful tag, (which should never have gotten aliased to big_clitoris.) This tag, if it still existed as its own separate tag, would be very very useful to refer to a clitoris which is temporarily enlarged via pumping/magic whathaveyou. However, there is a difference between a clit which is permanently large- something that a character lives with every day- and a clit which has been temporarily enlarged or enlarged along the lines of hyper/inflation/expansion fetishes. These two different tags should co-exist.
