Why is invalid_tag on a post?
In short, one of the tags in the "invalid tag list":/tag_aliases?commit=Search&search%5Bname_matches%5D=invalid_tag&search%5Border%5D=status was used. The system automatically replaced those tags with invalid_tag.
What should I do about it?
Remove it.
Invalid tag is not a real descriptive tag and serves no purpose on the post itself. There is nothing to “fix” except removing it and ensuring the post’s tags are complete and valid.
Which tag was transformed into invalid_tag?
Currently, there is no way to see which specific tag was invalidated.
It’s up to the tagger to ensure the tags they add are legitimate and up-to-date.
How do I make a tag invalid/ valid again?
Submit a request via:
