Description

Barely visible snout

A snout that has only a very small amount of forward projection, typically about the length of a human nose or less. It is shorter and less prominent than a short snout, and may make an anthro character's face appear more human-like while still retaining a distinct animal nose-and-mouth structure.
A barely visible snout is usually indicated by subtle facial volume around the nose, upper lip, cheeks, or mouth rather than a clearly protruding muzzle. In front, three-quarter, and side views, it may appear as a shallow bump or short wedge extending from the face. The design can retain features associated with a muzzle, such as a philtrum, muzzle, animal nose, or a small separation between the nose and upper lip.
This design is common in highly anthropomorphicscharacters, kemono-influenced designs, stylized cartoon artwork, and character designs that blend human facial anatomy with animal traits. It should not be confused with a completely human facial structure that only has an animal nose, as a barely visible snout still has some recognizable muzzle or snout volume.
