Description
The snout (also known as a muzzle or maw) is an anatomical feature common to many mammalian, reptilian, amphibian and fish species among others. It is characterized by a noticeably forward protruding portion of the mouth and its jaws. Usually also consisting of nostrils around the end of the protrusion.
Generally the jaws projecting out ahead of the character's or animal's eyes or cheek bones is considered the snout.
