Description

Describes a character having smooth hairless skin, similar to a human or dolphin and opposed to fur, scales, or other rough texture or rigid surface.
Species that are usually represented with scales can be tagged smooth_skin if the level of details allow us to see that they indeed have human-like or cetacean-like skin.

Skin Colour/Tone
Tags for Natural Human Skin Tones
  • dark skin — broad term for a skin tone of a notably dark shade, usually used for characters with brownish skin tones
  • brown skin — skin that is deep brown, may cross over with tan skin
  • tan skin — skin that is a pale shade of brown, or orange-brown in colour
  • light skin — generally used for characters with light peach toned skin, while informally known as "white" skin, should not be confused with actual white skin
  • pale skin — skin lacking much pigmentation, but still having some pink or peach tone
Other Skin Colors
Note: while some of these terms may be used to refer to skin tones above, these should generally be taken as the "literal" description of the colour, e.g. an orange, green, white or yellow skinned character should be literally of those colours, not a natural human skin tone with hints of those colours.
