Description
Popular in various cultures, and often seen in multiple European myths and legends, Spectral Dogs (also known as "Black Dogs") are various similar canine-like spirits. As their secondary name implies, the creatures often appear as pitch black apparitions, often with ghastly glowing eyes. They are usually associated with death and demons approaching.
They can vary in appearance depending on the type, but often appear ghostly or even hellhound-ish. Most are considered sinister and malevolent, with some being seen as incredibly dangerous, but some can be benevolent.
