Meet REX: a tiny dinosaur with a massive attitude problem. He’s convinced he’s the toughest creature in the land… but the other dinos aren’t exactly shaking in their scales. This is a sequel of to my student film from 2006! I tried to capture the essence of 2006-era Flash animation.

An animated short written and directed by Matthew Davidson.

Back in 2021, when I was a student at high school, and after working on Two Friends, I made another short called Animal Rescue. It's an original short with its original characters and story and sort of inspired by the Peppa Pig episode "The Flying Vet", but is not an adaptation of any previous material or related to it in terms of plot. Also, it's the final of two of my finest animated shorts with limited animation and stick figure character designs before moving forward to drawing with dimension and learning the twelve principles of animation.

The Last Robot - Student Animation

A bear and a doll have outgrown their current job market as a child's playthings.

Meet Stuffles and Jodi, a pair of toys who've outgrown their current job market as a child's playthings. As they ponder new employment opportunities, they wonder if they can serve any other kind of purpose in life. This film was made in 2019, my final project as a student at Concordia University's Film Animation Program. It remains one of my favorite works, and with a topical mainstream toy sequel having been made since then, maybe this will be just as topical now.

Toy Unemployed

"Greg and Harry race to the Finnish line. There's only one way this can go." This was my first year student film for college, the assignment was to adapt and modernize a myth into a short animation. I chose to adapt Tortoise and the Hare into a wacky racing comedy. This is the culmination of 3-ish weeks of work and a ruined sleep schedule. Enjoy! Animation/Voices/Editing by:Me... Trailer for an animated short film about wendigos coming soon

This is a trailer for a short film that I have been working on for the past few months and which will come out very soon. The short film is called 'Wendigo Hillbillies'. It's about a man who is lost in a snowstorm. He seeks shelter in a cabin which happens to be inhabited by wendigos who dress and act like rural hillbillies, but are actually out to devour him the moment he drops his guard. The film's look is supposed to resemble old school animation in a way, with hand-painted backgrounds and 2D animated characters, but now inside a 3D environment. The 3D environment is entirely made in Blender, and the 2D animation is made with Callipeg (tie-down), Moho (clean-up) and TVPaint (coloring). And the music is composed by a cousin of mine. I'm very excited to share the full short film with y'all when it's ready to be released! For now though, you can enjoy the trailer!

An Isekai where there isn't wish fulfillment. 18 minute indie animated pilot.

After so long, Last Hero Party is finally animated! Last Hero Party is an experimental fantasy isekai series following Dave Kaminaga, a college student reincarnated into a world of monsters, magic, and ancient conflicts. Alongside an exiled princess named Sila, Dave must navigate a hostile world with a questionable blessing and his wit. Created as an animation thesis project by Brysobstorygram, the show blends drama, comedy, and experimental mixed-media animation while exploring and deconstructing classic isekai tropes. ^ I had to write above to sound academic. Dare competition between Mercury and Neptune GONE WRONG??!!

(( ORIGINALLY UPLOADED ON YOUTUBE ON MARCH )) Merry March Christmas! Again this wasn't supposed to be THAT big of a video but this really took ALOT of time to finish... I just wanna address the "wonkyness" and the overall "clunky" animation, the way I approach this is that I would draw the sprites (the characters themselves) and then I'd PRAY that it would FIT IN when I compile them together... Pretty much I work like putting a jigsaw puzzle with NO GUIDES nor EDGES and just a vivid image of the finished piece in my mind... Hopefully I'll took a different approach this time when making an ENTIRE SHOW using ALIGHT MOTION which is ASS btw... Lip synching is hard because it doesn't ALIGN with the audio sometimes... And Alight Motion just sometimes DOESN'T WORK like the effects AREN'T EFFECTING... Unfortunately I will have to change animation program as to answer my previous question of "Can I make an entire Show only using Alight Motion?" is yes... BUT it is hard as hell... But this still has a lot of potential and is still good for short animations Now WHY MARCH? Well honestly I don't know, for context I got very VERY busy working on a research group project and just like with any other group activities... My back is SORE, SCREW THE SCHOOL SYSTEM they even admit that they don't know how to teach students how to conduct such research! But anyways it's here, I know it's disappointing and yeah my last video (Outtakes ft. The Moon) was better than this video but atleast IT IS DONE and I can rest and never upload again....

A psychological horror short about the monsters in our heads.

What does your anxiety look like? This is the official teaser for LATCHERS, an indie 2D psychological horror project. The story follows a student who drifts into "The Vivid": a space where our heaviest internal burdens manifest as physical parasites. Every single shot in this teaser was done solo and frame by frame. I used traditional 2D animation to capture a specific type of heavy, sluggish movement that reflects mental exhaustion and burnout. Most of the dream state visuals were inspired by old glitch art and retro tech aesthetics to keep the atmosphere as unsettling as possible. To play the violin, one must be elegant and composed, but Miguelín is neither. In a talent competition, he tries to prove his violin skills to impress his father, but when he fails spectacularly, something changes. Can the theater tolerate his chaotic personality? Miguelín and His Violin is a short film from 2024, produced by third-year Digital Animation students at Universidad Mayor (Chile). This shit took me so long lmao (First half of the animation was done back in 2024 when this was a budding idea so forgive for the shift in quality from beginning to end, and the video sat on my system for months) Programs used: Flash mx 2004 (Animation) Fl studio, Audacity and Beepbox.co + live recording (Music) Notepad (script) + my own voice acting and audio sound effects added Subtitles experimental and generated from the original script + some google translate help, Some of it might have not translated well but i just wanted to try to expand the reach of this dumb video of mine and make it more understandable (Short intro summary: As the students of Hargroves classroom act unruly in his eyes, he takes matters into his own hands and sends them on a field trip (One of them) will never forget..)

I usually took a day or two for these even the flip book one. It was only the 3d which took like 5 days and my final animation student film which didnt get to be finished due to being so busy (though my teacher said that it was intentional that he gave us such a tight deadline). I had about a month of prep (treatment, illustration, character model sheet, storyboards, animation tests like her walk cycle, lip sync animation, and head turn). and on my last week i was just placing the key frames which only ended up giving 5 days to actually animate the entire thing. It was really fun and my classmates laughed at where i hoped they did. Im okay with how it turned out givin that i had little time. Thank you all for the support it was really fun animating and having a teacher to give feedback.

DEICIDE: GODSEND PILOT TEASER

(VOLUME WARNING+FOR MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY. VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED)Fuzzy and Fluffy ask a stranger for directions!~~~~~~~~~~~~Okay, creator commentary time! First and foremost, I apologize for how long this one took in coming out, as I was sick for nearly 2 whole weeks earlier this month. But luckily it all worked out and I could complete it before Halloween. This project is actually a bit of an interesting one because it's a remake of a project I did for 3D Animation class last fall when we had to do a creatures themed short for Halloween, which is why everyone here is more round as they were originally low poly Animal Crossing-style models. I came up with these killer teddy bears, their C-3POesque worrywart owl friend, a rude scarecrow who's lost his scaring mojo and his pumpkin minion. This is the first Screwypilled Tooncels short that doesn't feature Rick, Roxy, Freddy or any of what my primary characters that I dub ''The Looneywood Acres Gang''. I did have a Halloween one with them planned but again, as I fell sick I had limited time and this one was further along completion. Plus I wanted to introduce these guys because they're just one in a group of rotating cast of Animaniacs/KaBlam-inspired secondary ensemble characters. I may eventually just pull a Smiling Friends and drop that one out of season so look forward to that.... This Christmas! Or Valentine's Day... Or Easter.... Regardless, I guess Rick's Demon Dilemma can sort of count as this year's Halloween cartoon with said Looneywood Acres crew since it had demons and released close enough to October. Those with a keen eye may notice I've actually featured these guys in a couple of easter eggs in some past projects since I like to do a lot of foreshadowing and early cameos. Here they finally are in the flesh! I initially intended to make them my sort of ''B'' segment cartoon but lately I'm leaning into making them more of a Kang and Kodos/Mr.Hankey deal where they only appear during their respective holiday season. This is also the first time Clover the puppy from my Hellhounds student movie has a proper speaking appearance in this series so I guess he's officially carried over from that. I may make my next cartoon feature Snowball, the other doggie that stole the heart of my classmates back in the spring.~~~~~~~~~~Sound courtesy of Pixabay Music:"Teddy Bear Waltz" Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com)Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 4.0 License<a href="http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/</a> HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vestfoDcUdI" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Watch on YouTube</a>
