Scarred by the experience, he embarks on a journey across forgotten islands, abandoned ruins, and ancient machinery, encountering cultures that have interpreted existence in diverse ways throughout history. As the world slowly enters a new technological era, inventors begin to challenge the limits imposed on humanity—bringing islands closer together, building impossible machines, and pursuing dreams once deemed absurd. Amidst this, the protagonist comes to believe there might be a way to escape his own end. Calling All Killers - Season 2

An animatic/storyboard based on the Wrath of the Sun OCT

Please read the Audition and the first Round here for further context:<a href="https://wotsmyaugur.thecomicseries.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">https://wotsmyaugur.thecomicseries.com/</a> <a href="https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/1043221">Round 2</a> Program used is Clip Studio Paint EX (v1.13) Author's notes: This took a bit longer; roughly seven and a half weeks (pushing the envelope on the round time for the tourney). However, I was able to have fun with a lot more ideas and shots. The plot also took a turning point, as I was originally planning for My'augur's story to begin turning more towards ultimately a bittersweet ending. My opponent's character just had to be so unbelievably good that it might lead more to a "golden ending" (not bad, but I personally have trouble writing purely good endings). Another fun tidbit was the deflating cultist was originally going to be a plot-point for the enemy-of-the-round like how the Mad Archer was for Round 2; a superpowered mimic. However, with the focus more on a cultist group in the setting and the overall pacing of the story, I couldn't feasibly fit it properly with my pace. So, the cultist is just structurally challenged. He's still cool though.

Velma Rides a pumpkin while Daphne blows the Diver Ghost

Velma and Daphne working for their treats. This originally was started for last year's Spooky Month, but it didn't get finished until this year. It still needs and audio pass and some "set dressing", but the animation itself is complete. Took a this one as a challenge to animate jiggling by hand. Proud of how soft Velma feels.

A fast paced and graphic music video animated in Aseprite.

The style was inspired initially by Flipnote studio, but then took a turn and became its own thing. Limited to 2 colors and a small resolution of 128x96 to challenge myself. Drawn entirely in Aseprite, with some rotoscoping techniques. I decided to release the video here first, so Newgrounds gets to see it before anyone else! :) This is the first track off of "In Order to Remove a Limb" our second album that was released earlier this year.Enjoy!-Bastard Feather

The shot I created for this reanimated collab

This is the shot that was assigned to me for the Yu-Gi-Oh Reanimated 2 collab! ( My shot is at 12:05 ) This ended up being a much bigger logistical challenge than I thought it would be, but also an extremely educating one. I basically had to learn Clip Studio's keyframe animation system from scratch! What I did was Mickey Mouse'd af, but it got me where I needed to be!

My Yu-Gi-Oh Reanimated 2 scene

This was my entry for Callipeg's September 2026 challenge.

I tried my hand at the Callipeg's September 2026 challenge. This is my first one, but I intend to do more of their challenges in the future. This challenge required animating a character based on Ben Cerbai's Model sheet. So basically a studio simulation which I thought was really useful. I don't think I did great, but in the time I had I managed to execute my idea. Plenty of lessons learnt which I intend to apply in future work. Let me know what you thought about this. Dice of Kalma - Cursed Skulls | Episode 5

A 3DMM project I made as an homage/parody of classic horror films

This was an old project that I did some time ago that also took me far longer to finish before that than it ever needed to take. It's nothing too complicated, I was fiddling around with 3D Movie Maker at the time, just trying to make some goofy little movies that I could use as an excuse to practice my music &amp; get the general feel of animating. The music in this project was all made using the Korg DS-10 Synthesizer software for the Nintendo DS of all things (the tracks were transferred to my PC from a New 2DS XL via the headphone jack), but with a little bit of spicing up in Virtual DJ. The inter-title graphics were largely inspired by classic German Expressionist films of the silent era and the story was meant to feel tongue-in-cheek, like a cute little parody of old black &amp; white mad scientist flicks: Absurd experiment that makes little sense goes horribly wrong and someone gets their ironic comeuppance. For the most part, as a way to challenge myself and to learn the ins &amp; outs of 3DMM, I stuck with the stock assets &amp; actors; the only mod I used was a green screen mod for some of the close-up shots. I have thought about returning to doing more 3DMM projects, but have struggled a lot with ideas and how many fan-made mods I'd want to use. I felt with this project at least, most of the originality would come from the music &amp; intertitles, hopefully that's enough. For those interested, you can also check out the original upload over on <a href="https://youtu.be/ibcQpORdlb0?si=j7tNvIdHZYzyEVTl" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">YouTube</a>. And you can also download/buy the EP of the music for this video, as well as my other original tunes (some of which I've also published here) over at my <a href="https://psychonara.bandcamp.com/album/night-of-the-skeleton-ost" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">BandCamp</a>. Last but not least, you can support me even further on <a href="https://ko-fi.com/psychonara_productions" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Ko-Fi</a>, and if you have ideas or requests for more 3DMM projects like this one, I'd love to hear them.

The Yellow Room

The 40th anniversary of Super Mario Bros. animated!

This animation is a sequel to my very first hand-drawn animation. This time around, I used a Huion drawing tablet instead of drawing with purely a mouse. The quality is quite a bit different . . . maybe I'll need to remake the first at some point . . . Check out the original animation here, if you haven't seen it yet: <a href="https://youtu.be/2xDUeHmDdMI" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Super Mario Over the Years! 1</a> - Unfortunately, you'll have to watch it on YT because I didn't have a NG account back then :( Isn't it technically the 41st now of Super Mario Bros?: Lol, yes - this project is a culmination of short vids I've been putting out during the 40th anniversary across my socials, plus a bunch more! I still wanted to call this an animation for the 40th, as it's the bigger milestone year than the 41st. I also just work slowly, and had a bunch of ideas, causing the release time to continuously get pushed back. Art Direction I've had the thought for quite some time to make a more faithful animation to the Mario series to emulate and honor the stylistic choices of Yōichi Kotabe and Shigehisa Nakaue. My decision on the art direction also came down to me wanting to "understand the generations of Mario” from its official art standpoint. Furthermore, I wanted to embellish some of Mario's movements, not limited to the games, to give a greater sense of action and adventure! I referenced all types of official cover art, licensed activity books, instruction manuals, classic 80s/90s commercials and other promotional material for the games and time periods. It took way more effort than my past simpler, often rough character animations - but it was totally worth it! For later games in the franchise, including games like Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Odyssey Characters, I choose to fuse the official render designs with the linework used in the manual art in the earlier games. I wanted the animation to have the hand drawn feel, but still have the evolution of Mario's design aimed to hit several of the "key poses" from the Super Mario Bros official art, and “bring them to life” in the animation. In order to execute this idea, I started with several of the key frames as these key poses, with some adjustments (like eye movements, hand placements, or perspective tweaks) to flow with the animation. As far as the backgrounds go, they involve a stylistic approach to Shigehisa Nakaue's work on the fairly consistent Nintendo summer artwork. I tried to simulate this by blending some watercolor texture scans I painted with digital watercolor brushes created in Photoshop to create laying and show a brush stroke on a more rough, coarse paper. The color usage references the internal colors displayed when playing the games on their respective consoles. This challenged me when it came to using a very monochromatic color scheme in Super Mario Land's Birabuto dungeon to quite the opposite of using a wide array of color in Mario's character animation in the Super Mario Odyssey segment. Easter Eggs Woah, you actually read up to this point? Okay, well, I'll let you in on a little secret: this animation is jam packed with a ton of hidden secrets/collectables. Try to spot the following: <ul><li>Bosses and/or friendly side characters from each game</li><li>References to different Nintendo game console generations</li><li>5 cherries to give you "invincibility"</li><li>2 wonder seeds for a "sense of curiosity"</li><li>Franchise game/console codenames</li><li>A bunch of coins. Count all of them if you dare and they may reveal some meaningful Mario number lol . . . The following are variations of coins and values associated with them (does their final value mean anything?):</li></ul>⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀◦ Regular/Gold Coin - Simply 1 Coin⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀◦ Red Coin (SM64) - 1 Red Coin = 2 Coins⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀◦ Blue Coin (SM64) - 1 Blue Coin = 5 Coins⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀◦ Purple Regional Coin (SMO) - 1 Regional Coin = 2 Coins Credits Music in chronological order:0:00 ~ Super Mario Bros 2. - Ground Theme ~ Super Smash Bros. SUMO ENDS SEPTEMBER WITHOUT FAP (subtitled) - Animation Random

After dying, a cat must get used to the peculiarities of existing without a body.

The Amazing Story of the Phantom Cat is an animated short that I wrote, animated, and scored between December 2022 and April 2023. It was my first experience making a 2D animated short, so it was a cascade of challenges that turned into countless learning experiences.I made the animation using Krita. Hours and hours of drawing, erasing, and drawing all over again. I had already composed the music long before, but I arranged it specifically for this short, trying to understand the logic of timing and repetition in animation, using LMMS.I was lucky enough to have some great ghostly friends—José Haidar, Marcelo Cáceres, Agustina Conti, and Daniela Barrionuevo—lend their voices to the narration and characters.I hope you enjoy The Amazing Story of the Phantom Cat! Beyond the joy of bringing this project to life, this short film allowed me to connect with incredible people from the world of animation, mainly through its participation in film festivals. In October 2023, The Amazing Story of the Phantom Cat was screened at FAN – Festival Audiovisual de Neuquén (Argentina), as part of the Official Selection of National Animated Shorts. In December 2023, it was also part of the Official Selection of Animated Shorts at AnimaVerso Festival, held in Florianópolis (Brazil). In January 2024, it was screened in Santa Cruz de la Sierra (Bolivia) as part of EDO 2024, and in May of the same year, it was screened at Anima Latina in Buenos Aires, Argentina.I never imagined the cat would get to visit so many places.

Basic tweening of makima holding the POV's leash

Currently learning tweening. Looks very basic, but it was fun to do! Going to challenge myself more and more going forward with it.
