The Spaceman and the Street Sweeper | Animated Short film

Suffering from a lack of creative direction, I decided to make a movie. I had no idea so much went into what seemed a simple thing. 2 years later I have self-learned script-writing, directing, video & sound editing, doing that along with character and environment design, modeling and animating. It’s frustratingly slow, extremely intimating, but a true creative joy. Check it out and hope you like it! Thrill-seekers are executing crimes across the city. Can Devin & Max stop them?

Omega: Episode 4 A former rival of Devin from his powerball days is involved with a notorious crime syndicate: The Triune. Officer Max Spencer, offers Devin a position on his metahuman task force. ------------------------------------------------------------------Episode 4! And we're back...8 years later! Starting development back in the Summer of 2018, I wanted a huge episode to showcase all aspects of the series. I didn't fully comprehend how big of a task that would be. Single scenes have more frames than entire previous episodes and we've finally clocked in at 30 minutes long! All animated by one person. So many life events happened in-between creating this. It's been a journey. Sound design has always been a major blind spot with the series so I wanted to spare no expense. Kyle Bird came on board pretty early in development to make it happen. Hope this was worth the wait, enjoy! ******Let me know what you think below! FRIDAY NIGHT FUNKIN’ X PICAYUNE DREAMS MOD (Opening Cinematic)

The Father-of-All gives a message to his children, his (God beasts) and threatens them

Gods & Cyborgs 1x01: The Message

The clock counts down your freedom... Listen to 'Timber Heart Silence' & step

"They existed before humans learned to name the darkness. And they waited—patient, silent, immortal—until you stepped through the door." 🕯️
You arrived in Mina drömmars stad, the City of Dreams, with nothing but a single, battered bag carrying eighteen years of loneliness from one orphanage to another. You walked past the frozen cobblestone streets, beneath the fading orange-tiled roofs weathered by sea salt and heavy moss, looking for a place to disappear. And then, Mrs. Ann found you. She brought you here, into this hallway of muted emerald walls and the faint, deceptive comfort of dried chamomile and simmering tea. Under the warm, golden glow of the chandelier, the madness of the world outside seems to fade away. Here, you allow yourself to believe you are safe. You allow yourself to warm your bleeding fingers by the hearth and pretend that you are not running from a fate too monstrous to comprehend. But do not let the quiet fool you. Listen closely to 'Timber Heart Silence'. Beneath the comforting melody lies a suffocating stillness. The grandfather clock in the corner doesn't just count the hours—it counts the remaining heartbeats of your freedom. Every heavy tick is a warning. Every shadow stretching along the staircase is a reminder that the safety of this house is nothing but borrowed time. Outside, the chilling fog is creeping under the floorboards, and the velvet snare of the Matchmaker's shop is already tightening around your soul. You were not chosen because you are strong. You were chosen because you are the only one who can look into the eyes of the entity waiting in the dark, and not bow your head. The hearth is fading. The clock is ticking. Will you find a true home within these walls, or will you let the shadows rewrite your mind? The playable Demo of Wandering Relics is officially live. I'm just testing the waters with this one, I have a few more things I need to edit and change.I'm also currently re editing episode 1, I have a lot of work to do, I'm posting this as id like some feedback, what are the things you like, what don't you like, what could I improve etc.I'm constantly evolving my craft, I'm trying new programs, new mediums, new approaches to push my ability forward, so please call me out, I do everything myself, I'm learning new things everyday. episode 2 follows after the first "obviously" but i have had time to go back to episode 1 and add scenes and characters to make this feel more cinematic. the end of the episode features a strange voice, that will be fixed in the first, as well as i need to add creatures coming out of the fog at the end of this episode, but generally I'm decently happy with the production of this. I understand my humour is few and far between, I make this with love, and honestly don't make jokes to hurt anybody, so please if you do find yourself offended or upset, I truly am sorry you feel this way, but I will not change anything in terms of comedy. I'm walking this path alone, and i would really like someone to bounce of ideas, help me animate, i know my strengths are art and oddly voice acting, I'm in no way a classically trained animator, i do this in my spare time, my writing really needs work, and i try to improve myself everyday. Feel free to email me, id love to hear from you.AtlasAgainstTheUniverse@outlook.com Much love, Ryan.

This was one of the cutscenes that was going to be used in the fangame; however, since it was the only animation actually made for the collab, I decided to upload this cutscene, or rather, this absolute cinematic masterpiece. It would be too sad not to show what @catostrophicTEM created. Enjoy :)

Short teaser, newest animation of the corp getting their fill with our snake girl Amuri

A short teaser to hype you all up for the next animation! There will be 3 versions, with 2 versions especially early on Patreon in 4k!This will be freely available on PH, Twitter, and Bluesky later this week! I used plenty of fluids and even animated wetness textures for more detail. I think some shots really have a cinematic and sexy look at Amuri ^^Editing might take some time because I want to finish the ideas I have for you to see. Anyone who is here for the VR content stay tuned! Animations in 8k and smth special is now in the works, with a very rough framework almost finished! I'm hyped even if the main idea is a flop you'll still have your fill, just with a bit less hardware/entertainment.In comparison to the other ones, I feel like this one finally has its own unique style and the combination of TV static and the unique shader I made which gives everything a light Fresnel /(lienart) of a texture to everything, really looks good/subtle :) And the final name of this animation will probably be Drowning in Bliss, but I will keep workshopping the title until I finally post all the FINAL edits. Thanks so much for watching and supporting!

BTC invites Nico to a fun game but he actually just kills Nico and tortures him

This isn't one of my best animations I don't really know how to feel about it but I am glad that I made this to create a conclusion to this storyline of Bobo the Clown Nico gets invited to eagle games WAIT NO I mean he gets invited to a fun game where he can win a burger. But this game is actually just an excuse for Bobo the Clown to torment Nico, and then he kills him and continues to torment him. Finally, Nico confronts Bobo the Bo and he dissapears for now, freeing Nico from the curse of BTC. This is kind of like a metaphor for the Bobo Cinematic Universe/my Bobo the Clown related animations (like Jojo the Pound and The Ice Age/Fobo the Freeze) and my obligation to not render it unfinished - However, I feel like I just don't feel like continuing that storyline/making those animations really important as they just aren't what I want to animate and are kind of limiting/don't give much in return for the effort that they take (because like who even is BTC like who even know what that is besides a couple of people)So Nico freeing himself from Bobo the Clown is kinda like me freeing myself from the Bobo CInematic Universe??? ig but that's not the main point of the animation that's just something that I added

Pushing the boundaries of 3D combat with a 2.5D anime-inspired aesthetic. This project was an exercise in Body Mechanics and Cinematic Camera Choreography. I avoided the standard "smooth" 3D look in favor of punchy, key-pose-driven animation to capture that high-energy anime "Sakuga" feel.Technical Highlights:

Hybrid Workflow: Blending 3D volume with 2D timing and spacing.

Camera Tricks: Utilized opposing-motion parallax to enhance the weight and speed of impacts without relying on the graph editor.

Custom Assets: All character designs and the neon arena environment were built to support high-readability silhouettes.

Aiming for a mainstream production feel rather than just previz. The Nesmiths (try to) play Truth or Dare!

Welcome to the TrouserToons Truth or Dare special! Where Johnnie, Janie, and David play a game of Truth or Dare based on submitted requests I took from YouTube commenters XD Also, you might have noticed something a little "different" about how this episode looks compared to the previous ones. That's because, for the first time ever, I decided to try making this episode in a 21:9 aspect ratio! (aka "Cinemascope" or "Ultrawide"). I decided to try animating in a wider aspect ratio this time to try to make the episode feel a bit more "cinematic" and unique. I might make more episodes like this in the future (well, at least longer and more "special" episodes like this one). I've made a couple of animations in 4:3 before, but never in 21:9 before this. So I really hope this pays off! Anyways, enjoy the cartoon! HAPPY PICO DAY! This is my first (and probably insignificant) contribution to the event.Seriously, this took me WAY too long to make. I did everything by myself, and yeah… I animated the whole thing with my finger (don’t ask how I’m still alive 💀).That’s what being a lazy bum does to a person, I guess.Anyway, hope you enjoy this cinematic disaster 👍Time spent: 2 weeks (two full weeks doing absolutely nothing but this) Yo, if you also wanna watch it on YouTube(I don’t know why you would, it’s literally already on Newgrounds)Here it is:https://youtu.be/7SaKhI03oWA?si=YQWvg2FUCf0QHXR1Go support me there too… I can’t afford to starve 😔👍
UPDATE (yeah… again):
So… I might have gotten a little too excited. And yeah, that “6th place” was just the daily ranking. Not the final result. Not a big deal.Just me doing what I do best — talking nonsense over a ranking nobody really cares about(let’s be honest, you weren’t even checking that ranking 🦅) So yeah… that emotional speech?Let’s just… pretend it never happened(so you can come back and read it again when the actual results drop) But still, thanks a lot guys — I really appreciate it 👍
*EXTRA*
Now that it’s all over, I can show a bit of the storyboard I made before animating. A little “gift” for those who have nothing better to do and decided to spend their precious lifetime watching some random guy on the internet thanking other users he also doesn’t know. Anyway, thanks a lot, and see you around 🛬🏢🏢

Franklin has an idea to get more money in the shop

VOODOO VIDS EPISODE 3: THE CLAW! Well here we are with the third short! This one was a lot of fun to work on this past week. I'll go into more details below as there will be spoilers if you haven't watched it yet. But thank you so much for the support! Newgrounds saw potential in the first episode and gave it a front page position. Truly thankful for that opportunity, and i'm really happy that the short has found some fans. I've been receiving some great messages and really am enjoying meeting others in the indie animation scene. OK, on with the the details. Spoilers from this point on. THE STORYThis third short is based on true events. I was out celebrating a friends birthday and there was an arcade, a claw machine contained these capybara toys, I just really wanted to win one but the machine wouldn't hand it over. My partner decided she would make it her mission to get it for me and i'm happy to say she returned to the arcade the next day and did get it as a surprise, and i'm now a proud owner of a capybara holding a smiling pineapple. FRANKLINWe saw Franklin in the 2nd short briefly. But this time he's made his debut. Franklin is a positive happy guy that just wants to help in anyway he can.. sometimes, he makes mistakes but that's ok. I find BIG characters are a fun contrast to the smallness of Thalia. Having a range of character sizes makes for a more visually dynamic cast and I love how Franklin is essentially Frankenstiens monster wearing bowling shirts and sandals. He's a lovable dude and I can't wait to make more with him. WRITING COMEDYProbably the hardest thing to write because it's just so subjective and i'm not a super confidant writer of anything. The first two shorts required the viewer to have some external knowledge of films like Twilight and Terrifier 3 to really land as intended. So this time I wanted to make the comedy as self contained as it can be. This ones for everyone, or at least I tried my best to write it that way. Some of the greatest comedies ever written stick close to what most people can relate to, Faulty Towers with its husband & wife running a business angle, IT crowd with its office antics... THE OFFICE itself! all of those are relatable character driven sitcoms. As well as referencing popculture from time to time, I need to remember that the writing will land best if it serves what people KNOW. So going forward I hope to lean into that more. and when all else fails? slapstick... Tom the cat getting hit in the face with a frying pan never fails. THE SHOPThe Voodoo Vids building itself is somewhere I want the viewer to desire to go. it's warm, inviting, filled with interesting things. It likely smells of stale coffee and hot CRT's and plastic video cases. I've seen every inch of it because I built everything in it, but the viewers haven't, So I try to get a few establishing shots in there to show the place from different angles. Getting that feeling of "I wish I could go to a place like Voodoo Vids" across more without sapping the pace. I just love strong establishing shots, combined with a nice piece of music, it sets the tone for the rest of it. There is a lot more to see inside, but we'll get to that in a future episode. SILLY VOICESI've done voice work before but for comerical purposes. Yes... I've literally been the guy that says"BUT WAIT! There's more" and I still do that, but I've wanted to get into character work for a while, so I'm using my own project as an excuse to have fun and explore that side of things too.I promise i'll get new voices in for future episodes... i'm no Hank Azaria and i'm looking forward to working with more people. SOME TECHNICAL STUFFThe Capybara world machine was fun to make BUT it was a headache at times. Between the claw rigging, and parenting to the control box, and the fricken CORD on the claw OMG... That was a fiddly thing to get looking right. A lot of trial and error but I settled on a bezier curve and used "hook to" constraints. It does the trick and that's good enough! The Capybara toy itself is a real toy, so I used my own as reference to make the model. I drew the machine artwork in Photoshop and brought it in as an image texture. and to finish off the machines aesthetics I composed its chiptune jingle using a website called "beepbox", if you want to make cool chip tunes and muck about with it, it's a great tool!I was going to model some coins for Victor to use, but I decided it was a detail I could cut to save time, and I don't think it would impact the visual impact by not having that in there. ON great tools a friend told me about WIGGLYPAINT which is the tool I used to draw the squiggly doodles of the characters in the credits. I love how fun they are. FINAL NOTEAside from my partner doing voice work and helping me recording foley sounds I'm working on the animation alone. It's tough but seeing the end result is so satisfying. And if others are enjoying it too then that's even better! Doing this lets me take on all aspects of a production and being indies, we get to just MAKE stuff without having to pass it around a boardroom for sign off on the dirt texture on the glass of the capybara machine. Thanks for the support, thank you for watching, and I look forward to hopefully making you laugh again real soon.

Voodoo Vids - #3 The Claw

Second short for Voodoo Vids! slowly introducing new characters, here we meet Paul! In the first episode, Paul was a background reaction character for a single appearance... but I like how he looked so much that I decided maybe he is another regular. Of course, he is now a regular. Expect to see him haunting the shop more often. Some behind the scenes.I use blender for all the animation. I designed and made all the characters, painted their textures, rigged them... that has taken the longest to do. But now that I have them, essentially it's all about writing, animating and editing the final episode in premiere pro.You have to wear many hats with indie animation, often you do a bit of everything in the production pipeline. And to every animator that has had sleepless nights doing "one more shot" or "one more frame" to make their production happen. Well done. This stuff is HARD. AudioA lot of audio I gather from freesound.org Or i'll record some bits of foley myself. In this episode I sat in front of a microphone shaking a real VHS tape around to get the sound of it in the characters hands. The sound is something I try to spend a lot of time on. Panning the voices through different shots to make the characters feel like they are in the world, adding a subtle room ambient reverb, panning the voice audio when the character turns their head... Such a small thing, but it's the difference between audio that feels "in world" and audio that feels "stuck on top" Time ScalesEpisode 1 took around 2 weeks to do (not including building all the props and the sets etc) , but Episode 2 I managed in 4 days. The context of the episode matters too, If i need to make a bunch of unique props for the story that can take more time. but I could factor in an extra day to just model all the scene specific props. The exterior of Paul's house in this episode for example was a last minute addition. I had time to quickly model it. and light it. so was happy to get it in. Cinematographygetting those nice cinematic shots is important to me, so I spent a lot of time studying the rule of thirds, and other techniques like the golden ratio. If you want to up your game on camera shots. look into this stuff, it'll take you from a bad framing loser to a Hollywood champ in no time! Simple rules to follow and they yield good results. (knowing when to break them is important too) I'm enjoying discovering what kind of show this is turning out to be, I don't have a plan or massive future goal, I just want to explore, introduce new ideas, experiment with different skill sets and channel them all into this video shop.I've got a lot of ideas about more scenarios and characters to make. I'm always open to ideas too so if you want to add something to Voodoo Vids in some way get in touch, let's talk. If you've read this far then thank you, Some people aren't interested in this stuff, but I'd like to include it for those that do enjoy some more content to read after they (hopefully) enjoyed the short. Love to hear your feedback, thoughts in general. drop a comment even if its just to say Hi :) Bren.

Unexpected Murderers on the Harpy Express - Minecraft Animation

Introducing my solo game project, Misfit Company!

Hey everyone! I left Newgrounds a while ago to pursue some projects, and now I want to come back to start sharing my art and other projects! I am thrilled to finally share what I have been working on through a lot of late nights over the past year! Here is a teaser of my first solo indie game, "Misfit Company."Lead a squad of specialists deep behind enemy lines in a gritty, boots-on-the-ground struggle to dismantle the enemy's war machine from the inside out. You will face down engines of war on land and in the air, all in an effort to prevent the launch of a mechanical abomination that threatens to reshape the continent. The goal of this project is to combine the handcrafted frame-by-frame visuals of the most captivating aspects of today's animated films and television shows while giving the player a seamless action-packed narrative experience where every finisher and interaction feels like a scene from a top-tier animated series. Now that I am finally sharing this project, I want to give some context on how this project has progressed over the past year. I am currently working on this project as a solo developer, and everything you see in the screenshots and teaser was created entirely by me. It's been a ton of fun but a lot to manage while balancing a full-time job and children to raise. In the fall of 2024, I was laid off and was just coming off Halo Infinite, so I took some time to reset, and after a few weeks, I was interviewing with Riot and actually received an offer to join the team down in Sydney. I sadly didn't take the job at that time because I had the opportunity to work with a few past colleagues on some really cool stuff at Meta, and it allowed my kids to stay close to their relatives here in Canada. In November, I was watching Arcane, and I had an idea for a project that hit me like a freight train, and that would become this story of a band of Misfits. As I went into 2025, I already wrote out the foundation for the story and was starting to storyboard out every cinematic the game would require while scouring my film and game libraries for as much storytelling reference as possible. As the year progressed, I started working on the prototype, but also created a large library of concept art, 3D assets, and fully polished characters that would help establish the art direction. What has been really exciting is that I am producing everything on my own with a fresh mindset towards production compared to my AAA experience, and creating a purely handcrafted experience using my 10+ years of experience in games. A solitary katana stands in a silent field, captured in black and white. This animation is inspired by the somber, timeless aesthetic of Masaki Kobayashi’s 1967 masterpiece, Samurai Rebellion. Peter Griffin Fan Fight Part 12

It is time for yet another public release video! This time I wanted to focus on a side character that gets alot of love from the supporters in Riruka the Dominatrix and expand the RF4F Cinematic Universe as my fans call it. In this story we see how Riruka gives a new purpose in life to someone who doesn't know what to do with theirs while also helping them in College.
