Conquer the Foe To all those whose truth has been silenced or forgotten.— RKS _______FOREWORD:Conquer the Foe is Roadkill Studios first ever short film. It is a hand-drawn anti-incidentalist film which pays homage to classic point-and-click Flash game culture. The film began development in March 2025, and was composed, illustrated, edited, written, and published by one amateur artist. All music and artwork was created by me, although some characters and visual elements are deliberate homages to, adaptations of, or parodies of works that influenced the film. At the centre of the film is the film theory principle of anti-incidentalism. The notion that every visible character in a film must have a defined history and identity, irrespective of whether that history is immediately apparent to the viewer. The film is therefore intended to be experienced not merely as a graphic chase scene, but as insight into fragments of a larger world beyond what the viewer sees on screen. The need for a film like this is to fulfil the duty of laying the groundwork for a comprehensive anti-incidentalist narrative long term. In some respect, the "art" of anti-incidentalism is to attempt to prepare for questions that will be asked in the future. The film was created both as an exploration of this principle and as a personal homage to the visual and artistic style of 2010s Flash games. Conquer the Foe is the first major release under Roadkill Studios, and it represents the start of a wider body of work that the studio will continue to develop over time. _______ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS:Hundreds of hours were dedicated to the completion of this short film. Although entirely created by one individual, we must thank the developers whose artistic influences enabled this film to be made in the first place. We thank Chriss Martin, Yan Lepage, Mario Boutin, Jo Fortier and Josee Godbout for Desolation: The Stages of Anxiety. Their work on this project is noted for the prominent grim-minimalist art style and inspiration for many character designs in the film. Stage 1 was constructed as a tribute to Desolation.Credit: https://www.kongregate.com/en/games/webcypher?page=7 We thank Hyptosis for The Sagittarian and for his excellent hand-drawn style, which inspired the horde/chase elements of the film and several character designs, particularly in Stage 2.Credit: https://hyptosis.newgrounds.com/ We thank Mateusz Skutnik for Submachine, and for over 20 years of consistent artistic output and contribution to the point-and-click genre, the influence of which cannot go unnoticed for this film.Credit: https://www.mateuszskutnik.com/ We thank Patrick Majewski for Monster Basement and its sequel. We also thank Patrick Majewski for permission to include The Mud Vile from Monster Basement as part of this film.Credit: https://godlimations.newgrounds.com/ We thank Igor Stravinsky for The Rite of Spring. A composition that completely redefined modern music and paved the way for many of the film soundtracks released in the last century. From the creator:To my mentors from the conservatory — whose names have been omitted for privacy — I thank you for your knowledge and expertise in which you shared with great generosity. The role of mentor should not be undervalued, for the role they play in forming a trainee's professional (and sometimes personal) life can be profound. Their contributions both directly and indirectly have helped shape the vision of this film and will define all future Roadkill Studios productions. I remain indebted to them for their dedication, patience, and time they commit to providing guidance and mentorship. _______Stage Descriptions:

Prelude - The point in time before any disturbance. The prelude is the calm before the storm.

Stage 1 - The first stage is the experience of a sudden distressing event; this stage is the realisation that something has gone horribly wrong as panic sets in.

Stage 2 - This is the stage where panic is quickly replaced by a state of blunt, numbing dissociation.

Stage 3 - Stage three is where the density of consciousness reaches its breaking point. Sanity is erased following a flash of light, and the incomprehensible suddenly becomes known.

Stage 4 - Consciousness returns hours later; the embers of the previous stages continue to burn as comprehension slowly reconsolidates. Episodes of delirium continue, with flashes of mnemonic rupture followed by further disorientation. The acute event is over but effects fluctuate over several hours.

Support Roadkill Studios on Ko-Fi: https://ko-fi.com/roadkillstudiosofficial NOTICE: This film contains disturbing, graphic, and mature material. Conquer The Foe

Hello there, I present to you my first somewhat serious animation and submission for Madness Day 2026! I did go pretty far away from the whole madness style, but i hope this is good enough to be a submission! Made this in around 3 months, so some parts might seem rushed, as well as this being my first time using Flash. Anyways, hope y'all like it!Special thanks to Hydoru for helping with many things and making the icon art.

Catfight Madness

good ol' madness roomkill in early 2010s krinkels style

cough, right click for volume controls-coughcough A short roomkill choreo test reminiscent of Krinkels' early 2010s era of animation style, presented in the old but gold flash format with functioning buttons and looping music! credz to krinkels for literally all the sprites here because they were taken directly from the leaked ROMP.FLA file (that i accessed with permission, of course)

A rig test for my Total Drama fan season! (Total Drama: Coastal Island)

I've been making some character rigs in the Total Drama style lately, and I figured I could do a quick test with one of the rigs, then share it here. Personally, I feel the animation style here is similar to Season 1 & 2's style, but let me know what you think! Art/Animation/Vocals: Me (BaldiJolt) Animated in Adobe Animate 2022 CC (P.S. the low quality audio is a creative choice, I like that flash compression a lot of the leaked content's audio had)

(Rig Test) Not Afraid of Losing - Total Drama Coastal Island [Fan Season Project]

My first (uploaded) 3D animation. Mixing 3D with 2D flash animation for the mouths, and using my old CGI style for kind of an FMV look. I was originally gonna make it look more accurate to an FMV cutscene, but I don't know how lol. Also, I had to render this video like 6 times for all the edits and crap, I hated it lol.

If Sonic Adventure 2 actually had good cutscenes

I would like to give credit to: Mindchamber - Art style and designs reference from Pico's school 2 Tom Fulp - Most of the characters that appear are created by him. Xploshi - 2 songs used are included. I ended up making it in video format because I don't know how to program and unfortunately I don't have the means to do so. So, this is definitely not a game, because I did everything with editing. inspirations: Pico's school Lacey gamesTracie's Pursuit I made this "game" because I really like the saga of the Pico games, since people made a game for a fan-made character, Otis, I'd like to make one with my original character. She's like a "sister" to Pico, I would like to share the affection I have for my character with other people as well 💗 And today we celebrate another year of Cherry's existence, which was created in 2022! Well, I'd like to do something better in the future. Besides, I'm just a teenager and I don't have the skills to program and create a real game. Flash games fascinated me, I've always had an idea to make a gameIt was something I really wanted to do. Thank you to everyone and who supported this project 💗

A short clip from TPOT 2 reanimated in the 2011 style!

A reanimation of TPOT 2 I made out of boredom in Macromedia Flash 8, this was also used to test my keyboard shortcuts out! Originally, I was going to reanimate this in the 2012 style, but I decided against that. View it on YouTube!View it on TikTok! Original Music Owner by Michael Huang.

The Peeing Contest

An overview of the work I did for the Toon-2-Tune collab, featuring Ally's New Life!

This submission was done in a month for the Toons-2-Tunes collab, where the basis was to make a 8 second long animation that followed the bassline heard in this video Find the Toon-2-Tunes Collab here! This entire animation is based on a game I made, Ally's New Life, that you can play here on Newgrounds or download for Windows, the latter having an exclusive Profile feature that changes the game in minor but potentially neat ways. Check out Ally's New Life for Windows here! Now, enough self promo, here is some background on the animation lol Originally, I was gonna make it more of a stickman style as I was inspired to join through midnightsausage's previous Sketch Collabs and thought that would be easier. But that ended up being the first draft of animation to plan out what I needed, this becoming the draft for the animation instead This animation cut a lot of corners so I could get it done quickly, one thing was using the fast pace to abuse smear frames. Try pausing the animation to see how ugly they can be Ally having a satchel is not a permanent design change, at least not in the final game, and is moreso a way to have her toss items without going into a weird flesh pocket or something lol The items are also mixed up from the actual game, as throwing an actual bottle of oil into the pot might be a bad idea though you can see it in the background, so liberties were taken with the second portion of the game's item being thrown in instead The background art was originally gonna be more detailed, resembling the idea of how Marrows' room looks like in the final game, but I decided to stay loyal to the Newgrounds/It's Your Lucky Day version as it was easier to do and not get too caught up in taking forever with this animation

HEY new unfinished cartoon’s out cause I was too impatient (which is rare)!! Hope you have fun watching it :)I had no idea what I was doing for this one, I usually improvise and animate random stuff until it makes a plot, the plot isn’t there yet so it explains how confusing it is, sorry. Some influences were Newgrounds flash movies, Powerpuff Girls (for the big eyes), and Invader Zim (for the art style), it’s just a sneak peak if i’ll finish it.Also there’s music by Machine Girl at the end, the song is called Scroll of Sorrow.

Hosho-kin-no adventure teaser, read now or watch soon.

Hosho‑kin‑no Adventure is a Flash‑style comic/animation series by me, vamp_sex24 on Newgrounds about badass shit like guns drugs and sex, your mom definitely doesn't want you watching this shit. But we all fucking hate our moms. the series follows a group of four boys on comedic, bounty‑hunting adventures expect a chaotic mash‑up of genres and creatures, in including zombies, talking animals, weird creations, and plenty more crazy shit. It’s like adventure time if it was made by a horny mentally insane goth loser. on the surface it looks like a fuck around series but in depth it actually has crazy lore in it's society, characters, and universe. But the guys don't get into any of that shit cuz the only thing they care about is getting their dicks wet and makin money. This is only the beginning so more about hosho-kin-no will be posted on the hosho-kin-no adventure encyclopedia soon and more related content will be posted on my newgrounds page. Exploring 4 emblematic paintings from belgium artist, Rene Magritte

Explorations is a collection of 4 emblematic works of Rene Magritte, recreated with current technology and the power of 3D modeling and animation. Starting with

Sheherazade, Rene Magritte (1947)

'Sheherezade is the name given to the pearl-woman object in memory of The Thousand and One Nights' (Magritte, quoted in D. Sylvester & S. Whitfield, René Magritte, Catalogue raisonné, vol. II, Oil paintings and objects, 1931-1948, Antwerp, 1993, p. 387). Shéhérazade appears to have been painted in May 1947 and is considered to be one of the earliest pictures to feature one of René Magritte's iconic motifs, the pearl woman. This picture shows the woman, whose mouth and eyes are shown as islands of flesh surrounded by a mysterious framework of strings of pearls, against a backdrop of a sky hewn out of monumental arches of blue. Next to her on the tabletop are two tall pyramids, a glass of water and a thick, claret-coloured curtain. This manages both to invoke the tradition of the Old Masters of Magritte's native Belgium and also to create an intimacy, a domesticity, a normality, lulling the viewer into a false sense of security that is prised apart by the mirage-like vision of the woman who so bracingly stares out from the canvas like some Orientalist incarnation of the Cheshire Cat. She is some form of apparition, perhaps conjured by the rituals of which the pyramids and water may be the paraphernalia. At the same time, she is the alluring and ornate hostess introducing the viewer to a world that has been rearranged in order to reveal its infinite wonder.

The Liberator, Rene Magritte (1947)

'The Liberator' presents a mysterious scene likely intended to provoke thought and curiosity. It depicts a figure seated against a surreal backdrop of floating architectural structures, with soft clouds embedded within. The figure, shrouded in a red cloak and adorned with a straw hat, lacks a discernible face; instead, there are symbolic images such as a key, a wine glass, a bird, and a pipe on a blank canvas where the torso should be. The enigmatic character holds a peculiar wand-like object topped with a bouquet of facial features and eyes. The figure’s attire and the walking stick it holds suggest a sense of journey or pilgrimage, while the suitcase placed by its side further emphasizes this theme. The overall composition resonates with Magritte’s distinctive style, blending reality with dreamlike elements to challenge perceptions and evoke deeper interpretations.

The Rights of Man, Rene Magritte (1947)

In 1948, while musing on the purpose of the titles he assigned to his paintings, René Magritte proclaimed: “I think the best title for a picture is a poetic one. In other words, a title consistent with the more or less lively emotion we feel when we look at the picture”. Across a series of handwritten manuscripts—now preserved in the Archives of Contemporary Art in Belgium and collectively known as “On Titles”— the artist offered a collection of short statements on some of his recent work. Among these brief notes, Magritte wrote about Les droits de l’homme: "Here, man is reminded of his right to act on objects and change the world"

The Annuntiation, Rene Magritte (1930)

The Annunciation brings together many of the themes, both iconographic and philosophical, that engaged Magritte during his stay in Paris from 1927 to 1930, a period in which he was closely associated with the French Surrealists. The painting shows an unlikely combination of objects. Two large bilboquets (Magritte's term for the objects in his works, which, though imaginary, recall wooden balustrades or chess-pieces) stand next to an oddly shaped piece of paper with a decorative cut-out pattern. Behind them looms a grey metal 'curtain', hung with sleigh bells. Despite its incongruity, this collection of objects seems disconcertingly 'at home' in the rock-strewn landscape beneath the grey clouds in the blue sky. The size of the painting (it is one of the largest the artist ever executed), together with its traditional composition and subtle allusions to paintings of Old Master like Leonardo da Vinci, Titian, and Caravaggio, are signs of the ambitiousness of the work.

Rene Magritte - EXPLORATION

(VOLUME WARNING+FOR MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY. VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED)Fuzzy and Fluffy ask a stranger for directions!~~~~~~~~~~~~Okay, creator commentary time! First and foremost, I apologize for how long this one took in coming out, as I was sick for nearly 2 whole weeks earlier this month. But luckily it all worked out and I could complete it before Halloween. This project is actually a bit of an interesting one because it's a remake of a project I did for 3D Animation class last fall when we had to do a creatures themed short for Halloween, which is why everyone here is more round as they were originally low poly Animal Crossing-style models. I came up with these killer teddy bears, their C-3POesque worrywart owl friend, a rude scarecrow who's lost his scaring mojo and his pumpkin minion. This is the first Screwypilled Tooncels short that doesn't feature Rick, Roxy, Freddy or any of what my primary characters that I dub ''The Looneywood Acres Gang''. I did have a Halloween one with them planned but again, as I fell sick I had limited time and this one was further along completion. Plus I wanted to introduce these guys because they're just one in a group of rotating cast of Animaniacs/KaBlam-inspired secondary ensemble characters. I may eventually just pull a Smiling Friends and drop that one out of season so look forward to that.... This Christmas! Or Valentine's Day... Or Easter.... Regardless, I guess Rick's Demon Dilemma can sort of count as this year's Halloween cartoon with said Looneywood Acres crew since it had demons and released close enough to October. Those with a keen eye may notice I've actually featured these guys in a couple of easter eggs in some past projects since I like to do a lot of foreshadowing and early cameos. Here they finally are in the flesh! I initially intended to make them my sort of ''B'' segment cartoon but lately I'm leaning into making them more of a Kang and Kodos/Mr.Hankey deal where they only appear during their respective holiday season. This is also the first time Clover the puppy from my Hellhounds student movie has a proper speaking appearance in this series so I guess he's officially carried over from that. I may make my next cartoon feature Snowball, the other doggie that stole the heart of my classmates back in the spring.~~~~~~~~~~Sound courtesy of Pixabay Music:"Teddy Bear Waltz" Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com)Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 4.0 Licensehttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! Watch on YouTube

Ironic how its supposed to be a 2007-styled animation when i animated it in Adobe Animate 2024 Music: Hyakugojyuuichi 2003 - Lemon DemonAnimation: Me, Kirbopher (for the little Mario in the background)Characters: Me (Nova), Nintendo (Mario)

Beef Bastard (Animation)

the Drive-In, Glassjaw, etc. and also early 2000s video game music from Sonic and Halo, and other synth

Bubblegum & Kerosene

Animation made in the style of the Pico School flash game

The background music was made by me, the scenery and characters as well. You could say that this is a test video, if it gets approval or people like it, maybe I'll put more effort into it. The story is simple, it's about Pico's brother wanting to save the world that is going to be dominated by Penilian robots. However, they don't believe in Yerik as Yerik has always sought attention, I will probably give the plot more depth later. (Sorry if Pico or a Pico School character is not listed here, I will probably add them later, as I said, this is a test version)

Pico's brother? Yeah!

Short teaser for a new animation thing I had

For the 20th anniversary for Powerstar that happened on May 4th, I wanted to make a small little animation for the anniversary, and what better way then to plug a new series teaser? My idea was to use SMBZ as inspiration, but with a twist. instead of Z, I chose super since Devil Mario will transform into the Rose form that Goku Black turned in dragon ball super. I still have to flesh out a story for this animation, but I was almost thinking of using the Goku Black saga from DBS as inspiration, where Devil Mario collects all the stars (0 mortal plan) and luigi tries to stop him (goku, vegeta and future trunks). Of course in the end, devil mario will win, killing luigi in a brutal scene but with DBZ style fight scenes, maybe a few ki blasts or two. if you guys have any suggestions, or name suggestions, let me know down below in the comments Currently working on a Goku & Vegeta vs Devil Mario sprite animation, which will use the ending of the DBS Broly movie as inspiration Credits: TuffTony, KingAsylus91, LoneWolfAlpha250, ZatchHunter, TheGuy07(CyberWolfJV), PxlCobit, LuigiRulz, BrawlFan1, Rukaisho (Mark Haynes), ShadeFalcon, TheCynicalPoet (SMBZ1), MrRed, EnteiTheHedgehog, JumpmanMFGG, Diyoshi25, 9Blu-Linden9 (DarkMark9), FaisaAden, Shadow624, jmkrebs30, Somari64, Mattdraw, Delvallejoel, supersilver27, Jyellowstudio, Gensokyo-man, KingAsylus91, A.J. Nitro, jdaster64, Nintendo, Sega, Zack 'Zin' 'Furr, Sam, xXKaijuKing91Xx, Spriters Resource. If I missed you, I appoligize in advanced. Please feel free to comment down below your tag/name and I will add you to the credits (just going off by the sprite sheet I have) Hope ya'll have a great day!

Powerstar Super Teaser

Im so hip and with the times anyways heres a flash animation of a video game released five years ago. Also I wanted to have a more stylized approach to Flick since he's a huge pain in the ass to draw …

The long awaited continuation, 18 years later, made by fans for fans!

Hi, Nano here! This is a project I have dreamed at least a few years at least of realizing! It is the continuation of a fan sprite animation series that's really beloved by me, Megaman X OLB (One Last Breath), by Kaosboy85 of Newgrounds origins aka Kaos. Since it's been more than 10 years after ep. 8 released, 18 years since 2007, I thought to help continue this series which was huge in Flash's heyday circa 20 years ago. The original run of the first 8 eps by Kaos aired during 2004-2007. For the style of the episode, I tried to make it in between the classic earlier episodes and the later modern ones! Hope you enjoy this episode, made by fans for fans to help continue a fan made series! -Nano

Megaman X OLB ep. 9 (fanmade)

I've wanted to animate something TF2 ever since I got my first copy of Adobe Flash almost a decade ago

"You Seem to be enjoying my outfit alot. How about I teach you a lesson"

Hello everyone. I took some of your feedback and studied more on color theory and line weight. STILL far from perfect as I am only now realizing how much there is to learn about color. Starting with flat colors for now as I cannot wrap my head around lighting and shading. Im also not sure if its Kritas fill tool being weird or I just suck but I kinda lost the rough sketchy style i was so fond of when adding my colors. It feels a bit more 'flash cartoonish' now rather than the manga/realism style i was aiming for. Still alot to improve upon. I promise i'll get back on the Shiori animation one day. I know it was just meant for practice but some people seemed to really like it. I cant work on it right now cos of burnout (That was less than a minute but took me a little over 2 months) and also i think I bricked my RAM trying to render that. My laptop is on its dying legs unfortunately. So Im gonna work on shorter animations for now until I can afford a new one.Thank you again for the feedback on my last post. Positive or negative it helped me alot and at least lets me know what area I should work on.Which character should I try next?

poob eckseteeor goes 2 sanic driff in 4 sumfing very swell 2 eet!!1!1!1

Edit: Well a lot of the stuff mentioned in this animation has aged horribly now... (First off... Happy New Year everybody!)Remember those weird Pube Muppet (aka "Pube Muppit") flash animations that used to be on Newgrounds back in 2002? ...Well, I'm bringing them back (sorta)! But with a twist. So basically, me and a few other people used to be friends with this guy who usually goes by the name Sonulianic (real name "Julian") and long story short, he turned out to be a groomer and was sexually harassing a lot of women online on Discord behind our backs until we found out at the last minute. We've cut ties with him now. He's also a massive drama queen and usually spends most of his time getting into fights with a bunch of random people (as well as throw in racial slurs against the people he argues with), even sent a rape threat towards a minor he was beefing with and was calling him out on his BS, and was basically only friends with us so he could use us as his own personal army and was also willing to throw us all under the bus and allow us to get blindly attacked by the people he was arguing with. He also has a really strange obsession with Sonic.exe (who he usually calls "Exetior") and he used to make a series of videos involving him ranting on about the same shit he usually rants about, using him as his own personal sock puppet, as well artwork of him raping people he hates "up the bum bum". He's now currently being "cancelled" on Twitter/X/whatever it's called and pretty much everyone has grown to hate him for all the shit he has done, including us. (I have even made a video calling him out/ranting about him on my YouTube channel which you can watch, and we are all currently writing a Google Document exposing him). He's pretty much just a pathetic incel lolcow who wastes his time causing unnecessary Internet drama and who will never get any bitches in life. So, what better way than to add more salt to Sonny's wounds by having his precious little Exetior get turned into a pube (made as a parody based on our former friend now enemy) in a 2002 style crappy Newgrounds animation featuring him trying to get some satisfaction, and of course fail miserably at it, kinda similar to another hairy sex-offending amphibian we all know and love less equally. (Now that I think about it, Sonulianic and Pube Muppet are quite similar in a way) I honestly wouldn't be too surprised if this animation gets very little attention resulting into it getting taken down due to Newgrounds stupid T&Cs, and recieve some very low scores, but fuck it. Also this animation is purely satire and not meant to be taken seriously in the slightest.
