Conquer the Foe To all those whose truth has been silenced or forgotten.— RKS _______FOREWORD:Conquer the Foe is Roadkill Studios first ever short film. It is a hand-drawn anti-incidentalist film which pays homage to classic point-and-click Flash game culture. The film began development in March 2025, and was composed, illustrated, edited, written, and published by one amateur artist. All music and artwork was created by me, although some characters and visual elements are deliberate homages to, adaptations of, or parodies of works that influenced the film. At the centre of the film is the film theory principle of anti-incidentalism. The notion that every visible character in a film must have a defined history and identity, irrespective of whether that history is immediately apparent to the viewer. The film is therefore intended to be experienced not merely as a graphic chase scene, but as insight into fragments of a larger world beyond what the viewer sees on screen. The need for a film like this is to fulfil the duty of laying the groundwork for a comprehensive anti-incidentalist narrative long term. In some respect, the "art" of anti-incidentalism is to attempt to prepare for questions that will be asked in the future. The film was created both as an exploration of this principle and as a personal homage to the visual and artistic style of 2010s Flash games. Conquer the Foe is the first major release under Roadkill Studios, and it represents the start of a wider body of work that the studio will continue to develop over time. _______ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS:Hundreds of hours were dedicated to the completion of this short film. Although entirely created by one individual, we must thank the developers whose artistic influences enabled this film to be made in the first place. We thank Chriss Martin, Yan Lepage, Mario Boutin, Jo Fortier and Josee Godbout for Desolation: The Stages of Anxiety. Their work on this project is noted for the prominent grim-minimalist art style and inspiration for many character designs in the film. Stage 1 was constructed as a tribute to Desolation.Credit: https://www.kongregate.com/en/games/webcypher?page=7 We thank Hyptosis for The Sagittarian and for his excellent hand-drawn style, which inspired the horde/chase elements of the film and several character designs, particularly in Stage 2.Credit: https://hyptosis.newgrounds.com/ We thank Mateusz Skutnik for Submachine, and for over 20 years of consistent artistic output and contribution to the point-and-click genre, the influence of which cannot go unnoticed for this film.Credit: https://www.mateuszskutnik.com/ We thank Patrick Majewski for Monster Basement and its sequel. A composition that completely redefined modern music and paved the way for many of the film soundtracks released in the last century. From the creator:To my mentors from the conservatory — whose names have been omitted for privacy — I thank you for your knowledge and expertise in which you shared with great generosity. The role of mentor should not be undervalued, for the role they play in forming a trainee's professional (and sometimes personal) life can be profound. Their contributions both directly and indirectly have helped shape the vision of this film and will define all future Roadkill Studios productions. I remain indebted to them for their dedication, patience, and time they commit to providing guidance and mentorship. _______Stage Descriptions:

Prelude - The point in time before any disturbance. The prelude is the calm before the storm.

Stage 1 - The first stage is the experience of a sudden distressing event; this stage is the realisation that something has gone horribly wrong as panic sets in.

Stage 2 - This is the stage where panic is quickly replaced by a state of blunt, numbing dissociation.

Stage 3 - Stage three is where the density of consciousness reaches its breaking point. Sanity is erased following a flash of light, and the incomprehensible suddenly becomes known.

Stage 4 - Consciousness returns hours later; the embers of the previous stages continue to burn as comprehension slowly reconsolidates. Episodes of delirium continue, with flashes of mnemonic rupture followed by further disorientation. The acute event is over but effects fluctuate over several hours.

Support Roadkill Studios on Ko-Fi: https://ko-fi.com/roadkillstudiosofficial NOTICE: This film contains disturbing, graphic, and mature material. A 3DMM project I made as an homage/parody of classic horror films

This was an old project that I did some time ago that also took me far longer to finish before that than it ever needed to take. It's nothing too complicated, I was fiddling around with 3D Movie Maker at the time, just trying to make some goofy little movies that I could use as an excuse to practice my music & get the general feel of animating. The music in this project was all made using the Korg DS-10 Synthesizer software for the Nintendo DS of all things (the tracks were transferred to my PC from a New 2DS XL via the headphone jack), but with a little bit of spicing up in Virtual DJ. The inter-title graphics were largely inspired by classic German Expressionist films of the silent era and the story was meant to feel tongue-in-cheek, like a cute little parody of old black & white mad scientist flicks: Absurd experiment that makes little sense goes horribly wrong and someone gets their ironic comeuppance. For the most part, as a way to challenge myself and to learn the ins & outs of 3DMM, I stuck with the stock assets & actors; the only mod I used was a green screen mod for some of the close-up shots. I have thought about returning to doing more 3DMM projects, but have struggled a lot with ideas and how many fan-made mods I'd want to use. I felt with this project at least, most of the originality would come from the music & intertitles, hopefully that's enough. For those interested, you can also check out the original upload over on YouTube. And you can also download/buy the EP of the music for this video, as well as my other original tunes (some of which I've also published here) over at my BandCamp. Last but not least, you can support me even further on Ko-Fi, and if you have ideas or requests for more 3DMM projects like this one, I'd love to hear them.

"Night of the Skeleton" -- (3DMM short film) --

This is a fananimation about Touhou:Project & Madness Combat

The main video is finally out! Sorry to keep you all waiting an extra day. After a full year of production—where we were working on it almost every single day, and FH_KEviL_WenBoSt was practically working 24/7 during the final stretch—Episode 4 is finally complete.Note: This animation contains some graphic wounds and depictions of violent action. If you feel uncomfortable, please exit in time. Also, as this is a fan-made work, please do not watch it with the expectation that it strictly follows the original canon. After Reimu dealt with the two little devils and took a brief rest, she continued her mission: to find the mastermind behind the Scarlet Mist Incident—Remilia. But how could it be easy to get in touch with the boss of a faction? From this point on, fairies start to appear in more variants: there are those specializing in throwing knives, more elite-type big fairies, and the most difficult existence to deal with—Remilia's highest-ranking subordinate, the Head Maid of the Scarlet Devil Mansion, Sakuya Izayoi. She is currently the toughest enemy, and the battle against her takes up a significant portion of the animation. Thank you so much for all your support for this animation. See you all in the next episode, Episode 5.Happy Madness Day 2026! Behind the Scenes:The production of this episode went through many difficulties, including but not limited to: the production software crashing, lighting effects exceeding the software's limits, excessive asset sizes making it difficult to export, and wasted production time due to my communication and handoff issues. My relationship with FH_KEviL_WenBoSt also got strained for a while, but fortunately, it didn't severely impact the production, and we managed to finish it before Madness Day ended. Actually, Episode 4 was originally planned to end at the 8-minute mark, but I got carried away making the scene of Reimu fighting Sakuya and added over 2 extra minutes. Luckily, it was completed in the end. The successful release wouldn't have been possible without FH's help; he only slept for 8 hours over these three days, spending the rest of the time producing and exporting. Huge thanks to him for his help. I might need to take a break for a while now. Thanks again for everyone's support.

Do you ever consider how fragile you are?

Do you ever consider that you are a machine? So one of the things I do aside from make animations is work on tools for making art with code. This is an attempt at making something with those tools. All the visuals are coded up using p5.js, an open-source graphics library I help maintain, within butter.video (my day job!), a browser-based motion graphics editor where you can write and edit graphics code in a timeline. For a long time I've wanted something like Flash to exist again where you can pop open the Actions panel and write some code, and also continue to edit on the timeline, and that's basically what Butter can do now for p5.js code! Since this is primarily useful for motion graphics rather than character animation, I made something that can be mostly motion graphics. Is the spoken word cringe? Maybe a bit! But we could all use to be a bit more cringe sometimes.

After finally being presented with the opportunity, a vampire hunter realizes killing the vampire she has been chasing all these years may not be what she wanted after all... The Fangs I'm After is a 2D animated queer romance film about accepting desire rather than demonizing it, even if it’s a little messy (and *GAY*). This was my senior thesis film made while attending Chapman University's animation and VFX program, created in part under the mentorship of Lauren Faust (creator and showrunner of my little pony: friendship is magic). After 18 months of production, 20 film festivals and 4 awards, it’s bittersweet to be reaching the end of this journey. Creating this film has taught me so much, brought me so many places and created lifelong friendships with my fellow classmates, and I am so proud of the final result. I hope you enjoy this gay gay lesbian gay vampire film as much as I enjoyed making it :) Thanks for watching and keep supporting animation! An owl needs a quick boost to finish his assignment

I made this Fall 2025 for Graphic Design II and never shared publicly until now. It's an ad for a fictional energy drink. Entirely hand-drawn on paper as Red Bull commercials was the primary inspiration for it, with some paper cutout animation. Maybe one day I'll make an entire cartoon the traditional way on paper. Also that's right, a cartoon by me that isn't mature for once, see I can appeal to more than just one age group. Didn't know exactly what to rate it but I figured ''well I'm not gonna peddle energy drinks towards kids'' plus some mild language when the owl says he's screwed so T was the safer route. Come to think of it it's funny now that the teacher didn't say anything about that. Watch on YouTube

I still wanted to deliver something though and I remembered Dirty Soda had a character, Dizzy, from this cartoon. This is my Illustration class project final, originally screened on April 24th of this year. I wanted to use my animation expertise in a classroom full of Graphic Design majors, though the animation is very limited since it wasn't an animation class. It almost looks like Rocky and Bullwinkle at times. But everyone was absolutely howling. I made some changes from the version I showed in class though, you can see that version on YouTube. Namely, I changed the background music to Ghost of Sheperd's Pie by Geoffrey Burch because apparently Happy Go-Lively by Laurie Johnson from the Ren and Stimpy soundtrack isn't public domain/copyright-free despite feeling like it should be tbh, and I didn't find out until after I had made that version. I also got rid of the film grain since that was actually added at the request of my professor when I explained I was parodying old PSA cartoons like One Beer and Sonic Sez, and changed the name to Buzz Bunny Burns The Blunt to differentiate it from the Screwypilled Tooncels One Joint cartoon. Another key difference is that I restored the suicide joke cut from the version I presented in class. But enough yapping, you guys let me know which version you like best. Here's concept art. I initially tried making Buzz look as stupid as fuck as possible. Just look at this idiot: As well as this comic version I made to present to my class alongside the animated version to promote my portfolio site to classmates:

BREAK TO THE BREAK OF DAWN!This is the music video I made for my latest track; Break of Dawn! Finally a new track! :D I have spent some time on this here and there between jobs, and the track has gone through many stages of development. But it ended up here, at the break of dawn! The video is made entirely in after-effects, with licensed stock videos of dancers, and an ungodly amount of custom filters, layers, animation and audio expression controls. I took inspiration from ATARI graphics. I wanted to see how low I could make it while still being visually clear that these are dancers - using only 32x64 pixel width (64 since its widescreen). Enjoy the pixel grooves!! - Bandcamp: https://waterflame.bandcamp.com/track/break-of-dawn- Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/album/75R5RkV80kCWp7oden1S5q?si=4W3pChDeRii8g6NMWNMAxw -- Code for Geometry Dash Creators: 1579428- SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/waterflame89/break-of-dawn- Youtube: https://youtu.be/_tquWf4u3p0

Motion graphic thing to learn after effects

I hate to admit it but I have been sleeping on After Effects. Definitely much better working with 2D stuff in there than Blender or Godot or trying to write motion graphics with code with Motion Canvas like I've done before. I still used Blender for & Godot rendering some 3D planet stuff because I didn't feel like experimenting with the After Effects 3D tools just yet. And Godot will probably be a main stay as I really love the shader & rigging setup I have in there!

Dirty Rapscallion Deathmatch: Interviews

A proof of concept for the cutscenes in our planned Graphic Novel NSFW game.

This is just proof of concept for the cutscenes in our planned Graphic Novel NSFW game - Estate of The Late. As stated in the Estate of The Late’s public page gameplay paragraph – the main gist of the game is mostly exploration and socialization. This is an example of how we intend the “socialization” aspect to be like – presented through a sort of fully voiced animatics. We hope you’d like to hang with girls like these. Of course, the real Sex Scenes will be fully animated. All of the voices here were done by AaimzTako (@Aaimz). There will likely be separate actresses for some of the characters, but I think it is safe to say that Aaimz has definitely locked down the role for Angelica (The blond girl). Subscribers get to hear behind-the-scenes alternative take with Nami955 voicing Dorothy (the tomboy). We are aware that the game development updates here haven’t been rolling in very often; they are more frequent for our subscribers. That is because we have been juggling with 3-4 different projects at the same time, now we will be significantly leaning on to rule34 animation – specifically the Sirens’ Cage animation. In turn, there will now be much less Rule34 drawn content, because animation production better synchronizes with the development of this game project that we are making. So from here on expect more updates on the “Sirens’ Cage” animation – we aim to finish that Late Spring or Early Summer.

Check out our 2026 showreel, showing off our full range of 2D styles across 2D animation, hand-drawn, rigged and motion graphics. Since 2019, Cut the Mustard has operated out of Norwich, Norfolk, making bespoke animations for businesses, artists and filmmakers. With bespoke design and sound, no two projects are the same. We're sharing our 2026 showreel for #portfolioday. Whoops, unsure what happened with that last upload. It appears those darn supernatural forces are tampering with my stuff again. Hate it when that happens. Anyways, I gave them some Snickers bars so they should be away for a while. Here's the upload of the episode as originally intended. Gonna copy over the description too. This is the sixth episode of Roasted Meatloaf, originally made in 2023 (though I think production started in 2021 when the fifth episode was being made.) After the efforts put into the previous one, I decided to make this one a bit simpler. Despite that, the methods of production still evolved a bit. This episode moved away from recordMyDesktop for the screen-recorded sequences and instead utilized Deepin Screen Recorder, which at the time I apparently had no idea apparently originates from a Chinese Linux Distribution named Deepin, which was previously based primarily on Ubuntu and Debian. I'm an Ubuntu user myself, so I guess that's why I got it through the software center around that time. The graphics for this episode shifted back into primarily being made using GIMP. However, Inkscape still remained involved, both for reused elements such as the Inkscape version of my character as well as some newly made assets. Jeff returns as a main role, although he has no lines. Alongside Jeff's return to the spotlight, some elements from previous episodes also play a part. Additionally, this episode confirms that Jeff is also called "J. J." sometimes, which I developed upon him theoretically being a "Jeff J." of some kind. I experimented a bit with using 3D Blender graphics within the 2D world for one part. There was a bit of an animation error with it, but apparently I couldn't bother myself to fix it so I just put up a sign on the wall in the previous shot that explains it in-universe. Speaking of Blender, I've decided to pivot from using Clipchamp to make the credits and re-renders for these version to using Blender for those tasks instead. I just sort of felt like pivoting towards a somewhat better way of editing things. However, I did write out the credits in Clipchamp before deciding to switch to Blender, and I had to consult that so I could copy over the text, so Clipchamp is still credited for having some kind of involvement. Oh also the opening logo text slightly changed again for this episode. I guess I kind of had to do that because it opens on a white background so no one could see it if there was no outline, but the addition of an outline will also remain in use for later episodes. That's the bulk of the details behind this episode I guess. Enjoy if you'd like, don't if you'd rather not.

Skobeloff Forest★Kloe's Song Teaser #1

This fatality Idea was taken from Paynetrain Productions from YouTube. All I did is recreate the video with more speed and graphics, the animation took longer than I expected, I had to record the video using a screen capture because swivel changes the speed of some parts of the animation. Also, I'm working on more stuff. Valentine's day animated film and a another sprite fight... Anyways, enjoy!

Music by Armin Jusuframić, performed 2025, https://arminjmusic.com/Thank you so much for this fantastic dark ambient reinterpretation! The original version of this comic-animatic was drafted around 2010. Dead Space was the game that motivated me to buy my first proper gaming computer back in the 2010s.Back then, during a gaming party with some friends, one of them introduced us to Dead Space which he played in his Xbox 360. I was Blown away. I was unaware of the advancements in horror gaming and loved the immersive environment and creature designs. So I started saving for both a custom gaming computer from a small PC building business(a Rig which would also serve me for art and design) and a physical copy at an Office Depot (I didn't know of Steam until the sequel came out). While I was setting apart the money to buy my gaming rig, thanks to the immense hype and anticipation I started drawing the original version of this comic. This scenario was drawn thanks to the lore that my friend who owned the game at the time, told us while he was playing, and I also listened to the lullaby posted here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpYz4EQVo1w&list=RDbpYz4EQVo1w&start_radio=1, Something to note is that, prior to drafting the original version I didn't see the marketing trailer, I didn't watch other gameplays or youtube videos, I didn't check the Wikia, and the character references for drawing were scarce on the internet. As you see that version was left incomplete. I was lacking some art skills, and the figures and books from the game were not very available in my country until much, much later. I got my PC and my game and forgot about it for a long while. I picked up this fan art piece, after many years as it was a fun exercise in graphic narrative, and now I learned a bit of extra skills to properly finish comics. For the storytelling, I took inspiration from the Lullaby and used the lyrics as symbolisms to narrate the sequence within these pages. This is the tought process and break-down of the panels you see: Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star (glowing eyes)How I wonder what you are (a lifeform, a necromorph)Up above the world so high (necromorph falls from the ceiling)Like a diamond in the sky (Necromorph's glowing eye+ The Miner looking up)When the blazing sun is gone, (Sun=Miner's life)When the nothing shines upon, (Darkness=Miner's death)Then you show your little light (Little light=Infector's Proboscis, sign of reincarnation/life, tunnel of light while dying or near death)Twinkle, twinkle, all the night. (All the night=Time Passing, transformation ongoing, preparing to return to life as a new form) Then the traveler in the dark, (Isaac)Thanks you for your little spark, (living monster=uncleared area )He could not see which way to go, (path unexplored, exit level is near)If you did not twinkle so. (if Isaac didn't find a living Necromorph) When the blazing sun is gone, (Marker blocks sunlight)When the nothing shines upon, (Darkness=Marker is the source of the nightmare)Though I know not what you are, (the necromorph looming behind)Twinkle, twinkle, little star. (necromorph glowing eyes, little star= a lifeform) I haven't checked newest sources or lore expansion to see if what I "saw" in the lyrics was accurate to the story's representation XD. But still, wanted to finish this. Thanks so much for watching! I hope to get/play the reboot and buy its artbook soon!
