CFS S1E4: High Ground

Everything I did for my high school animation class, on newgrounds!

Just finished my high school animation class today! Had fun, I really liked the class. Here's all the projects I did for it. Here's some of my commentary for a few of these:<ul><li>Anticipation/Exaggeration: Both of these were traditional animation, drawn on notecards. The process was cool but it was annoying and took too much time. We also used this fancy program "DragonFrame" for this!</li><li>Tweens/Bouncing ball: Both of these are crappy because they were just simple things to test out adobe animate our teacher had us do.</li><li>Rotoscope: Another time consuming animation, this took over a week. I used the original song clip but I had to switch it to a MIDI version for here.</li><li>Final: My favorite one! We could animate whatever we wanted for this. I chose a clip from smiling friends. The teacher really liked it and he told me he liked the show as well.</li></ul>I know I said this but I really liked this class! Sucks that there isn't another animation class. Also I'm going to tech school next year so I can't take any other classes anyway. Song used:Waterworld SNES - Shop

Animation class projects

This is an animation I really wanted to try and that's exactly what I did, because How will I know when I stand skill wise without trying and seeing. Then there are the Sound FX I really tried to play around with them so I hope they sound Good, Thanks for checking this out Btw 😉

the final part to this web series (senior year) that i made

[i know i cant voice act but its what i got lmao] this is the final part to the big 2 movies that i made. (the only really important one is the first, i also like that one better as well tbh. but tech does have it moments.) anyways this was just a fun little send off to my senior year in high school. as well as this mini web series that i kinda based around it. just kinda answering some unanswered questions and making a final final that takes place after finals. (see what i did there) i primary used bandlab, flip a clip, and video maker on android. if you have yet to watch what are you waiting for go see it, hopefully you enjoy. if you have watched it, your welcome ig idk? more will be on the way, just give me a few months.

What happens if the heroes just quit? Unlock the 'Bad Ending' of this failed adventure.

Ever wondered what happens if the heroes just... quit? I'm currently finishing up an Interactive Episode for my YouTube Channel (coming in 2 weeks!) where YOU get to choose the path the party takes via end-screens.But while I finish animating the "Good Endings", I wanted to share this unique "Bad Ending" here with you guys. This is what happens when the party decides the tavern is more important than saving the world. 🎲 FEEDBACK REQUEST: THE RPG UISince this is a "Game Over" test run, I'm also testing out the on-screen RPG mechanics (the dice rolls, skill checks, and success/fail banners).I want the mechanics to feel like a real TTRPG session without blocking the animation. Let me know your thoughts in the reviews! TECHNICAL STUFFFor all the animators and tech-heads in the community, the entire series is animated in Unreal Engine 5.As a solo creator just starting out, I'm leveraging high-quality assets from the Fab Marketplace. This workflow is what makes a project like this possible for me, allowing me to handle all the storytelling and cinematography myself. It's a huge learning process, so any feedback is welcome! Heroic Quests (Official Trailer)

Prof Hero / Hero Teacher This is a motion comic animation I made in 2020/2021, based on a webcomic I create for my blog. Unlike the animation I recently posted (a cutout animation), this one is a motion comic. About the Prof Hero Webcomic SeriesProf Hero is a former galactic patrol officer who now works at a high school in Súburbiodopolis. Before becoming a teacher, she served in the United Galactic Forces—a kind of armed forces for the Terran government. While she was a patrol officer, her body was bonded with a high-tech suit of armor called Antares. The armor was created to oppose the forces of the Martian Empire, which was constantly threatening our planet. For a long time, she fought the alien empire, until one day she decided to leave the hostile routine of space to live a peaceful life on Earth. Little did she know that her archenemy, Alien-Pai, the leader of Mars, would personally come to Earth to destroy her and conquer the planet. The combat armor is named Antares because the star's brightness rivals the brightness of Mars in the night sky. The name also means "anti-Mars," which is why the armor was given this name. Check out the webcomic here: <a href="https://cyberquadrinhos.blogspot.com/p/quadrinhos-prof-hero.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">https://cyberquadrinhos.blogspot.com/p/quadrinhos-prof-hero.html</a> Essa animação é baseada na webcomic que publico em meu blog, link acima! A longplay of Alex Kidd: High Tech World!

This longplay has some brief commenary at the start / end. But otherwise is game audio only. Hope you enjoyed this longplay of Alex Kidd: High-Tech World! It took me a lot of time to complete, counting my "downstairs" business as time. I'm really very proud of the fact I didn't Bubsy 3D myself when I finished this lame. Hehe get it, lame instead of game! Comedy genius! Thinking of starting a series with this video, so leave your thoughts in the comments below and don't forget to fist the fuck out of that follow button, oh and don't forgot to rate me at least 2 stars if i deserve it!

Alex Kidd: High-Tech World (SMS) Ultimate Longplay

Shadow is trapped in the Space Colony Ark! But Maria has other plans....

Finally, a Shadow cartoon! I originally intended this video to star Luigi, inspired by the meme of "they had to contain him..." in which a doll of Luigi is shown lit from below inside an arcade game window. The original script, from November 17, is as follows: <blockquote>Luigi is in a high tech container.</blockquote><blockquote>Gov official: “We had to contain him”</blockquote><blockquote>Daisy breaks in and slams a big red button</blockquote><blockquote>Daisy: “Let him go!!!”</blockquote><blockquote>The high tech container shuts down</blockquote><blockquote>Luigi’s eyes open, glowing white with lighting coming out of them</blockquote><blockquote>The container explodes, Luigi rises, floating above the ground, eyes glowing in a T-pose</blockquote><blockquote>Luigi: luigi noises</blockquote><blockquote>Gov official: "May God have mercy on our souls."</blockquote> Come to think of it, if I had kept it being about Luigi, it would have been even more topical.... However, since the release of the movie Sonic the Hedgehog 3 was coming up, I wanted to change the story to involve Shadow the Hedgehog instead. Daisy was replaced by Maria and was made to be silent, and the government official was replaced by Gerald Robotnik. Gerald was voiced by The Game Counselor, who is a frequent collaborator of mine.Since Shadow would not be a good host for Luigi noises, I made him Dominican instead. Shadow now ends the video by singing La Dueña del Swing by Los Hermanos Rosario. I hope you all liked it!

Piconjo Epic Kiss Valentine Kiss 2005 - FAIR USE

Sorry Grace you still can’t drink alcohol but you are more than welcome to celebrate with us, we just have to take some precautions. Some sexy precautions. Happy new year! Hope this past year was… acceptable and that the next one is super awesome! To celebrate I have something really special: a little loop animation made with a really dense cut out technique so you have a good amount of pieces moving around and a ton of effects and colors applied. And because it is all cutout I made it at 60fps! I mean if you are going to interpolate everything why not do it at its full potential! Also get familiar with that gag because you will see it more going forward ♥ So I actually payed core to be able to upload animations, I have always said that my ultimate goal is to make animated content, this way I’m a little closer, I had been learning a lot about production and techniques, I had been specializing myself with Harmony learning its quirks and stuff and I hope I can make actual shorts with it. It was a quite the challenge to make this, it took like a day to draw every piece and another couple to rig them and another one to animate, but I had to fight the program multiple times to make it work, granted now that I know how is way easier ♥ After all that I need it a way to publish it at its glorious 60 frames per second. In WWII China, a Chinese unit was sent on a secret mission to uncover something mysterious

A lego brickfilm stop-motion, set in 1944 in China during the Second Sino-Japanese War, which became part of WWII. The story is about a Cantonese division from ''Red Sky'' a secret organization set up by Republic China to deal with the unnatural and spooky stuff. They were sent to an abandoned laboratory of the Imperial Japanese Army to investigate it. But things doesn't go as planned. See how they have to battle the endless hordes of zombies residing in the lab.
Yet another zombie brickfilm, consider this a prequel the the Lego Zombie: The Outbreak-series. This brickfilm also contain some different languages. (Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese and English) If you like this video then make sure to leave a like, comment and subscribe to my channel for more awesome brickfilms. Some notes
-The Chinese soldiers wear the M35 helmets as part of the Sino-German cooperation until 1941, they also used the Chiang-Kai Shek rifles based on the Kar98 and other weapons of other countries. Some weren't used by the regular army because this is an elite division wich has acces to most hight tech stuff at the time.
-The uniforms of the Chinese varies, they wore blue, green and kaki.
-Some translations are altered to fit the context or time period. Music List:

Lego World War II Zombies: Unit 429 (2018)

Board your ship and explore the darkest reaches of the universe in search of the hottest and most depraved space sluts. Bring them aboard your research vessel where you can customise their looks in your bio-metrics lab, probe and experiment on them in your high tech science chamber, or create virtual scenes using your ships Cyber-Masturbatorium - all in the name of science! Since releasing the demo a couple of weeks ago I had a setback with my PC dying, but I've spent all my first months Patreon money on a new build which is at least three times faster than the old one. It's taken some time to get everything set up again but now I'll be able to work a lot more efficiently than before! I'm currently working on an update to the demo and the first alpha build will be out as soon as I can after that. The demo works in VR and non-VR and you can get it over on my Patreon page: <a href="https://www.patreon.com/CaptainHardcore" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">https://www.patreon.com/CaptainHardcore</a>

A little Christmas

The 11th short from Cyanide & Happiness I've worked on!

This is owned by Explosm Entertainment, but I drew and animated everything here! This is an animatic, not the final animation, but if you're interested in how it turned out, click here to watch Sweet Flips on YouTube! <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDhwT9qY9mE" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDhwT9qY9mE</a> This one is going to feel wildly different from the final product, because both skater dudes have different voices. The director, Mike, provided temp voices for the duration of this pre-production phase, and we didn't get the lines of the two skater dudes until much later. Couple of things I tried out here, I had a lot of fun getting practiced with character facial acting with asymmetrical details. I didn't know how the huge-explosion shockwave glitching out the camera would've worked out, but it seemed to do alright. Annnd I made this into kind of a love-letter to my middle-school / high-school days by making the temp soundtrack entirely CKY. One thing that didn't quite translate in the final, I tried making the place where he's skating some kinda artsy city park thing (something I've seen at Texas Tech), where you probably wouldn't be allowed to skate on it, but in final they made it a skatepark, which was kinda confusing to fans. Another thing was, our background artist Denise played a couple of voices in this, and in one of her takes as a courtroom attendee, she makes this volumed mutter that I personally thought sounded like she was eating something. I thought it was pretty funny, so I had a courtroom attendee eat a candy-bar in time with the VO take. So when the camera moves to the defendant, and back to the crowd cheering, she's cheering with a mouthful of that same candy bar. It was kinda funny, and they decided to keep it in the animatic and go through with it to final- But then they removed her voice take because it stuck out too much, and replaced it with the sound of that court lady munching on a candy bar. It was a detail that seemed to be met with confusion by the fans, because now this lady has a mouthful of chocolate for no reason, lmao. I learned that sometimes that small of a gag might not be worth including in the future, because it can be distracting and pull attention away from the point of the actual, written joke. Lost Mind

Brand new cartoon series to come. This first pilot I made myself using PAINT on the Lenovo computer at the Hotel Front Desk Computer. No budget for the making of this, I am completely self taught and did every individual frame on paint myself. I also did the voice acting, the story boarding, and the sound effects that come from the cheap quality microphone installed on the actual computer itself. I wanted to show my skillset and creativity without the fancy tech and expensive hardware. Just think, if I can make this with just using Paint and pathetically basic hardware and lame software, image what I am capable of doing with more high end software and hardware. The video is cut short on purpose and ends with cut-scenes from the next video installment where the bird gets choked out by the big Ram. This is the first sneak peak of my cartoon series to come. The other episodes will also be made through the medium of using PAINT as my primary art platform. I really look forward to feedback on this video from everyone. It's, my first video animation I ever made and I taught myself and did every step of creative solo/alone. There are a ton more characters than just these three with tons more backgrounds and scenery scenes to come.

Resi'Evil cereal sponsored by CHHHRRRIIIISSS

Resident Evil's Chris Redfield has his own branded cereal! It's high in iron! .... litterally Okay, so I'm aware any jokes about Chris Redfield's unreasonably muscular body could be several years too late to really be funny but some friends and I came up with this idea some time ago and I happened to just stumble upon the original audio file lurking deep in one of my obscurely named folders and figured I'd eventually edit it and do something with the file ... WELL! With the whole 'house move' thing I'm going through I haven't had much time to work on bigger, better projects like Nothing to Fear .. that animation I occasionally post things about and been working on for absa-fucking-lootley-ages but just haven't had the time to focus on it properly. So sorry to those involved in the making of that animation! I'll have to something to show for it soon hopefully; I've been running into a fair few technical problems with that project so I needed to work on something else for a little bit so I can return with a fresh perspective and not rush it out. SOOO! Yea. I made this.... enjoy. (Special thanks to Eastbeast for the feedback on this pieca'shit and his flashing wizardary settin up the buttons for me because I'm rubbish) Oh and there's an easter egg ... ----- RESIDENT EVIL IS PROPERTY OF CAPCOM. Music video to introduce the animation web-series Hamstrong

Hamstrong is a comedy/adventure web series and iPhone/iPod game. It is about Hamstrong the Hamster. When he returned from a DJ gig at a dance party, Hamstrong was confused for a rat and captured by an unscrupulous rodent catcher who was hired by "The Lab" to procure stray animals for testing. Poor him...but he really looked like a rat dressed like MJ! Now having genetically modified super boogie powers, Hamstrong is angry at his captors and seeks any means necessary to escape his high-tech prison and reunite with his girlfriend, Becky. Among his cell-mates, are a long list of other test animals; rats, mice ,rabbits, assorted insects and birds.. some with a checkered past..and some bred in captivity solely for the purpose that Hamstrong has come to abhor. It's Going Growl!

William Shakespeare's reflection on passing and death.

Shakespeare's 73rd Sonnet, a reflection on passing and death. Perhaps appropriate as we lament the passage of the old Newgrounds to make way for the new. Now available on youtube for your viewing pleasure: <a href="http://www.youtube.com/wa" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">http://www.youtube.com/wa</a> tch?v=030tRSurgvM An old high school project that I saw fit to remaster for release here. In response to earlier criticism, the abhorrent narration has been removed. Further criticism is welcome as always, and I'll try to answer any questions you might have. Full Text: "That time of year thou mayst in me behold
When yellow leaves, or none, or few do hang
Upon those boughs which shake against the cold,
Bare ruin'd choirs, where late the sweet birds sang.
In me, thous see'st the twilight of such day
As after sunset fadeth in the west,
Which by and by black night doth take away
Death's second self, that seals up all in rest.
In me thou see'st the glowing of such fire
That on the ashes of his youth doth lie,
As the death-bed whereon it must expire,
Consumed with that which it was nourish'd by.
This thou perceiv'st, which makes thy love more strong,
To love that well which thou must leave ere long." -W Shakespeare

KingSchmuck-MMXVI
MIKICHU anybody else I'm missing for this episode lemme know so I can add you I did alot of new things with this episode- like... storyboarding (LOL) animating alot of it with pen and paper and doing a whatnot. It's kinda weird since I can't really call this an action "anime" its more of a drama. I think if you watch it and think of some of the 1960s chanbara samurai films that's closer to what it is rather than a bleach or naruto. Well, atleast that's what I was trying to do I'm prolly gonna take a break from Shinobi noir for a while to work on another project that's kinda Gantz meets Ghost in the Shell meets FullMetal Alchemist- or something like that...
