My shot for DoubleR's Sonic Unleashed Reawakened ReAnimate collab!

Here's my shot for the very first ReAnimate collab I worked on: <a href="https://doubler2d2.newgrounds.com/">DoubleR</a> and <a href="https://www.youtube.com/@PixelisFake" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">PixelisFake</a>'s Sonic Unleashed ReAwakened!!You can check out the trailer <a href="https://youtu.be/Ocg32qrC-mw?si=oaVnIMCtf4BKG_RU" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">right here</a>! I worked on this project throughout the summer of 2022, straight after graduating university and completing it that September. Being on this project was a really valuable learning experience for me as an animator and artist overall. I want to thank DoubleR and PixelisFake for allowing me to take part in this awesome project!! :D (I would have (and should have) uploaded this piece MUCH sooner but good ol' social anxiety and life in general got in the way of that lmao) Software used:ProCreate - background assetsRoughAnimator - Character and effects (floor) animationTVPaint - colours, shading, background animation, compositing, effects animation (lightning bolts)Adobe Premier Pro - final compositing Audio belongs to SEGA

Sonic Unleashed ReAwakened: Shot 67

I'm just testing the waters with this one, I have a few more things I need to edit and change.I'm also currently re editing episode 1, I have a lot of work to do, I'm posting this as id like some feedback, what are the things you like, what don't you like, what could I improve etc.I'm constantly evolving my craft, I'm trying new programs, new mediums, new approaches to push my ability forward, so please call me out, I do everything myself, I'm learning new things everyday. episode 2 follows after the first "obviously" but i have had time to go back to episode 1 and add scenes and characters to make this feel more cinematic. the end of the episode features a strange voice, that will be fixed in the first, as well as i need to add creatures coming out of the fog at the end of this episode, but generally I'm decently happy with the production of this. I understand my humour is few and far between, I make this with love, and honestly don't make jokes to hurt anybody, so please if you do find yourself offended or upset, I truly am sorry you feel this way, but I will not change anything in terms of comedy. I'm walking this path alone, and i would really like someone to bounce of ideas, help me animate, i know my strengths are art and oddly voice acting, I'm in no way a classically trained animator, i do this in my spare time, my writing really needs work, and i try to improve myself everyday. Feel free to email me, id love to hear from you.<a href="mailto:AtlasAgainstTheUniverse@outlook.com" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">AtlasAgainstTheUniverse@outlook.com</a> Much love, Ryan.

Growing Up - Animation

I don’t think I qualify as an animator or call myself one just yet but I wanna try learning how to animate so here’s my first ever attempt; I hope y’all like it ⭐️ I don’t have the patience to fully render this since I’m still learning the ropes of Procreate, the animation feature on Procreate is a bit confusing and idk how to use layers on every frame yet; I also dunno how to add audio to an animation so there’ll be no sound lol

First Animation! ⭐️

I'm learning how to use an X-Sheet from the Animator's Survival Kit and this was my second attempt.

Ball with legs!

My college semester is wrapping up and I took a 3d animation class! So thought I'd share what I learned during my time in school. Honestlyyy it wasn't that big of a hurdle to jump, having so much experience with 2D stuff really helped ease me in. It was more-so adjusting to the new program that was the real challenge, navigating the interface, learning the shortcuts, figuring out how to do what I want to do, stuff like that. But when I started actually animating, it came somewhat natural, so I didn't really struggle in this class, it was fun! I got so many weird looks from my teacher when she saw my "stylized walk cycles", that was worth the price of admission alone. Even if this video was kinda eh, I hope you still had fun watching, I'm still working on bigger more traditional animations, so sorry for the wait.Till next time!

2D Animator (Me) spends 3 months learning 3D (not 2D), was it worth it? (probably)

Futa animation about Fexa suddenly growing in the bathroom

This will be my only futa animation; I'll return to do only giant girls after this. Maybe boys too, but only if you want. I'm open to suggestions. This video also has audio, but I’ll be honest I don’t think it turned out very well. I could have done better, but I ended up struggling with the sound effects and got a bit lost. I’ll definitely work on improving this in my next animations. That said, none of this would be possible without the support I receive on Patreon.I’d really appreciate it if you could take a moment to check out my Patreon. I’m working hard to become a full-time animator, and your support would make a huge difference in helping me get there. Every bit of support whether it’s becoming a member, even just for a month, or sending a small donation through Ko-fi directly helps me continue learning, improving, and creating more animations like this. If you enjoy my work and want to see more in the future, supporting me is the best way to make that happen. Thank you so much I truly appreciate it. So I'm currently in the process of animating a Gravity Falls short and it's intro features Gompers. While I was working on this the other day I just HAD to add the TF2 Heavy om nom sound effect in XD. The video is still a wip gotta ton more to do but I had to keep a version of the heavy edit and share it. What happens if the heroes just quit? Unlock the 'Bad Ending' of this failed adventure.

Ever wondered what happens if the heroes just... quit? I'm currently finishing up an Interactive Episode for my YouTube Channel (coming in 2 weeks!) where YOU get to choose the path the party takes via end-screens.But while I finish animating the "Good Endings", I wanted to share this unique "Bad Ending" here with you guys. This is what happens when the party decides the tavern is more important than saving the world. 🎲 FEEDBACK REQUEST: THE RPG UISince this is a "Game Over" test run, I'm also testing out the on-screen RPG mechanics (the dice rolls, skill checks, and success/fail banners).I want the mechanics to feel like a real TTRPG session without blocking the animation. Let me know your thoughts in the reviews! TECHNICAL STUFFFor all the animators and tech-heads in the community, the entire series is animated in Unreal Engine 5.As a solo creator just starting out, I'm leveraging high-quality assets from the Fab Marketplace. This workflow is what makes a project like this possible for me, allowing me to handle all the storytelling and cinematography myself. It's a huge learning process, so any feedback is welcome! Heroic Quests (Official Trailer)

The time has come!If I remember correctly, this is my first ever dedicated Halloween post/media 🤔.(Always wanted, never had time 😝 but this year I found some time with the final phases of Mei's Corruption being a lot of render time, I could find some mental load to affect to this) Lara Croft 3D model by Wildeer StudioSound Design and Music by Mathieu HellotLara Croft’s voice by Patapon ANYWAYLet's answer the question right away because this is also and most importantly my first official prod including AI tools 😱!(Yeah I know this is fitting with Halloween because it's a scary subject 😝) I've posted some WIPs of this project for supporters (<a href="https://subscribestar.adult/theropedude" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">https://subscribestar.adult/theropedude</a>) including the first version I tested as a proof of concept and a compilation of some of the sections I didn't use in the final puzzling but that I find cool. TLDR : I love playing with this, see you next time 💚. If you have been following me long enough, you may recognize the first image of the video because it was indeed the first image of a full 3D video I crafted back in the days 😊(<a href="https://the-rope-dude.com/2024/05/19/lara-breast-tease-01/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">https://the-rope-dude.com/2024/05/19/lara-breast-tease-01/</a>). But you may also know that I've been playing with AI tools since at least 2023 and I find this kind of tech absolutely amazing. I've tried a few things and failed a lot but now I feel like the time has come to successfully integrate some of these tools in my workflow and therefore, here is the first example that I'm confident enough to call a success 😁.Of course it's not perfect and I'm not perfectly satisfied with everything but I never am and I'm always learning + the tools apparently can't stop to get better and better every 2 months 🤩. I want to share with you how using these tools make me feel (production wise)As a 3D animator I feel like a puppeteer, precisely pulling every string of my puppet to make exactly what I want. I have a lot of detailed control but it takes a lot of time. With AI Tools I feel more like an art or movie director, trying to guide actors in the direction I want and iterating with several takes until I have the "good one".Both have their pros and cons (Mostly control and speed of prod imo) so I'm looking for ways to have the best of each world 😁.Also for example a specific camera movement is a lot easier to do in 3D but animating 6 hands groping and playing realistically with boobies and flesh is a nightmare 😝.(And to quote Kurzgesagt : I want to use AI like the align tool in Adobe Illustrator.)How was it made exactly?Of course this is overly simplified but I may explain more in depth if some people are interested but to summarize the process :- Make an image in Blender.- (Optional) Generate a 3/8 sec video with Wan2.2 (I2V) and take the last image of the video.- Make an image in Blender or Edit the previous one with Qwen/Photoshop/Blender(Control-Nets).- Generate a 3/8 sec video with Wan2.2 (FLF2V with the last frame you just edited)- Repeat- Puzzle everything in DaVinci Resolve to make it as seamless as possible.- Upscale/Upframe with Wan2.2/DaVinci Resolve- Edit/Mask/FX/patchwork in Blender/DaVinci Resolve to improve/refine/hide/modify the things hard to manage otherwise. On that matter I want to give a big thanks and shout-out to IchibanFutsuJin (<a href="https://civitai.com/user/IchibanFutsuJin/posts" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">https://civitai.com/user/IchibanFutsuJin/posts</a>) we share a lot of helpful technical knowledge with each other and he does some of the most creative and amazing uses of these tools I've seen so far 😍. Definitely go check his work! In any case I hope you appreciated this little comeback of Lara Croft and I wish you a great Halloween ^^! Take care 😊💚

Sim Card Removal Pixilation Stop Motion Animation (2016) HD

Sim Card Removal Pixilation Stop Motion Animation (2016) HD is a unique experimental short film inspired by the award-winning stop motion animator PES, combining action with surreal, abstract creativity. This 2016 stop motion project uses pixilation, a technique where I animated myself frame by frame, along with everyday objects animated showing how to remove a SIM card from an iPhone 6. Shot with a Canon EOS Rebel T5 before I had to part with it, this animation blends crude but imaginative stop motion with quirky stock sound effects from iMovie, Final Cut Pro, and freesound.org. While early in my journey as a stop motion animator, this short captures my passion for DIY filmmaking, experimental animation, and learning the craft of stop motion through playful, handmade storytelling. Fans of pixilation, PES-inspired shorts, and indie animation will enjoy this creative piece of my journey creating stop motion animation. more of that animation i made a while back

Erm... last time i uploaded this it was like 10 seconds of animation and it got like blammed or whatever... this is after a month of me working on it and animation sure is hard but it gives me an appreciation for indie animators and one man teams. Also gives me more of an understanding on how action poses and key frames work. I sure am learning a lot like a good little artist. No references have been used except for me right hand for specific hand positions. every pose you see is from memory and i struggled to draw out a lot of these scenarios and kept re-drawing them until it looked right. the only thing i really do dislike are the impact frames as i do not really understand how they work. I also suck at walk cycles cuz i never really draw my funny characters walking unless it's having one foot forward. drawing front facing and full one sided versions of the characters was extremely weird due to my art style making the legs weirdly fat/thick, so body proportions and character profiles are definitely something i have to work on. Thanks for reading, please give me lots of criticism and tips. I truly do appreciate your time and words.(maybe drawing frame by frame was a mistake? do indie animators still animate this way? i was thinking on trying rigs after this to see if i can to it better)

On my quest to grow as an Animator I take a step to look back at what I've accomplished this month. Nagisa from Futari Wa Precure (the first animation in the video) was definitely when I knew that I was actually growing. Of course that was just a bit ago, currently I want to work on a storyboard and animatic and then animate that scene. I think it'd be cool and good for learning about production. Anyways that's enough from me I'm still not even close to intermediate let alone Pro so I gotta keep grinding. I will see you all eventually.

It's a "Use it or lose it" kind of situation. I completely forgot. But I learned a long time ago, to be honest. Working with Mike on Numberlore helped me grow as an artist, because as soon as I had a task for something that I didn't understand how to do it, I would make it known, and Mike stepped up and taught me how to do it, and I'm really grateful to not only have him as a working partner once again, but as a friend. It cannot be understated how hard that guy works on his stuff. You can see how shots compare here vs. final, and that difference is made by Mike's polish. Dude is super talented, and he made sure this thing was done correctly. With that, a little bit of the learning curve as the ambition and scope of the series just keeps rapidly expanding to the point that he would even ask me to help work on this, is a testament to how this thing is building up momentum that's really evident. And I hope the fans can understand why that added some months between 2 and 3's release date. Mike Salcedo, Connor Murphy and I shared office space together at Explosm Studios, working on Cyanide &amp; Happiness and everything else they'd throw our way for years. I thoroughly enjoyed doing frame-by-frame cool lookin' stuff like fire and lightning. Which was unfortunate, because I was on the payroll as a pre-production animatic guy. But even in the animatics, there'd be a shot with smoke or an explosion or something, and I'd go off-the-rails and hyperfixate with my ADHD brain and animate a sequence in two's and four's "IT SHOULD LOOK KINDA LIKE THIS" and practically animate an anime-tier, sakuga sequence, in a show with golf-ball head, marshmallow bodied stick figures. Sometimes <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AT6jS_X4NaY" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">that'd make it to final</a>, and other times it didn't at all (opting instead to take a more cost-effective route, which yeah I get it). But Mike recognized that potential immediately, and invited me to work on stuff he was controlling. This whole year, 2023, has been about scraping the rust off. With Numberlore 3, I feel legitimized as a professional animator. We are so back! Time to get to work! And I can't wait to show you guys what else I got cooked up! A song by Major Danger about finding different angles and perspectives, Enjoy!

Yo, what's good everyone? It's Major Danger here, and I'm excited to share with you our new track, "Perspectives". This song is all about lookin' at things from different angles, and findin' your own perspective. And let me tell you, the official music video, animated by Vincent Uy, is out of this world. First and foremost, I gotta give a big shout out to all our fans out there. You guys are the reason we do what we do, and we couldn't do it without your support. You keep us goin' and we're forever grateful for that. Now, let me tell you about the animator of this video, Vincent Uy. This guy is a genius, let me tell you. He brought the song to life in a way that I never thought was possible. Every single frame of that video is a work of art. He really knows how to capture the essence of the song and bring it to life in a visually stunning way. The idea for "Perspectives" came to us while we were thinkin' about the importance of seein' things from different angles.Ya know, in today's world, it's easy to get caught up in our own perspectives and miss the bigger picture. But this song is all about steppin' outside of your comfort zone and explorin' new perspectives. It's about growin' and learnin' and never settlin' for one point of view. And let me tell ya, there's no greater message than one that talks about followin' your dreams. No matter what obstacles you may face, it's important to remember that anything is possible if you believe in yourself and never give up. We hope that our music can serve as a source of inspiration for those who are chasin' their own dreams. But let me tell you, it wasn't always easy for me to believe in myself and chase my dreams. I remember I had a near-death experience a few years back, and it changed my life forever. I was in a terrible car accident, and for a moment, I thought it was all over. But as I was drifting in and out of consciousness, I had a vision. I saw myself traveling to other dimensions, communicating with extraterrestrial beings, and even time traveling. It was the most profound and life-changing experience of my life. In that moment, I realized that anything is possible if you believe in yourself and never give up. I knew that if I could survive that accident, I could do anything. And that's when I decided to chase my dreams, no matter what anyone said. I wanted to share that message with the world through my music, and that's why "Perspectives" is so important to me. I know that some of you might think that traveling to other dimensions and talking to aliens is a bit far-fetched. But let me tell you, anything is possible if you believe in yourself and never give up. I've seen it with my own eyes, and I know that you can too. So, I encourage you to keep an open mind, and never stop chasing your dreams. The possibilities are endless, and you never know what you might discover. So, check out the official music video on our YouTube page, and join us on this journey of discoverin' different perspectives. And as always, we appreciate your support and couldn't do it without you. Stay true to yourself, and never stop chasin' your dreams. Peace out! After dedicating half a year of my life to learning blender (and animation in general), I present to you my FIRST EVER ANIMATION!!!... Uhhh... Except maybe for a couple of donuts... But we don't talk about the donuts! Jokes aside, I've had tons of fun making this video and it has given me a newfound respect for animators all around the world. Also, sorry for the cliffhanger. I had originally planned it to be just one big video, but I sorely underestimated how much time and effort these animation take, and had to cut it into two parts. Lastly, apologies if the voices feel kind of janky. Couldn't really afford an expert sound guy and/or voice actress so I just did my best with whatever cc0 sound clips I can find. But all in all, I'm pretty satisfied with how it turned out. Hopefully it'll still be to your liking ;) What's next? TBH, I've kind of fallen for this animation thing, and it would be like a dream come true if I can do it full time. Maybe in the future, who knows... But until then, I'll continue to make videos like this whenever I can afford it :) PS: I've decided to make a patreon page. * ASMR Waterfall Loop I know you folks like these ASMR bits. * The animation is very subtle, and I had to slow it down. I did add noise to let it show up better, but when I made the compressed video, it lost some of the noise and also smoothed out a bit. * Back in the day, I used to actually SELL moving/animated frames Waterfall pictures in the malls at Christmas time. So, I know these cheesy things are popular. ___________________ * If you guys want to rip the video file and use it, you're welcome to use it for art projects, and student projects. ______________________ * I had trouble with Alpha channels and color keying, so I had to resort to super imposition tricks using masking, feathering, opacity, Adjustment layers, and blending options. Basically, it's using flat planes and compositing them. I also, actually didn't use any matts. ________________________ * The Back Story: I originally made this project in Fall 2016 at UMASS Boston for a Video Mapping assignment. I've been growing &amp; learning a lot with compositing, overlays, and YES even particles. The original animated particles on this were created by animator David Biedny. He was sick with the flu, or something, when he whipped the animation bits together for me, because I had no one to help me with learning or teaching particles at UMASS Boston. I don't think I could ever do anything as fast as he made those particle bits. He slapped the stuff together because I kept pestering him to teach me how. He stubbornly refuses to teach me anything, like a stubborn Zen master and often says "I'M NOT YOUR TEACHER!!!" :( I guess I'm NOT Yale Material, huh? I've probably created so many other projects and footage with the bits he'd animated for me. This one also includes other footage I have. But I want to move onto making my own basic particles from WITHIN my actual projects from here on out, and not Frankestein'ing them form other parts n pieces.
