A synesthesia-based animation in a VR rhythm game I'm developing.

This is a real-time synesthesia simulation of Forgotten Dawn's track "Elysian Trails." All of the visuals were created within Tendril, the VR rhythm game and synesthesia simulator we're developing here at Tendrilab. We ran a few experiments with this one - mainly to see if it would be possible to create an environment with just brush strokes. Much more experimentation to come! This animation was made in just 3 hours. Tendril is intended to become a 1:1 replication of the way I experience audiovisual synesthesia. In VR, the FOV is much wider than what this video shows, it runs at a much higher FPS, and the colors are more accurate. But - this is already a pretty good representation of what the engine is currently capable of. We have a roadmap with 80+ tasks ahead of us, including new features, necessary systems, QOL improvements, and known bugs. We've spent the last month and half overhauling the UI in preparation for Patreon early access. AI was not and will not be used in the creation of Tendril. The random black squiggles through everything is an anti-AI training watermark that will not be present in the final release of the game. This video was taken in VR to reduce trainability as well. Attempt to train off of our videos and/or early access builds and publish a lookalike - we have ways of knowing and we will take action. We're aiming to release the first early access build through Patreon later this month. You can learn more about the project on Patreon, vote on which songs we produce next, and get early access to Tendril at: https://www.patreon.com/tendrilabJoin our Discord: https://discord.gg/FaCcnetVQSubmit your own original (non-AI) music: https://forms.gle/uYN2Be497VQMccJc9Buy the track in this video: https://forgottendawn-main.bandcamp.com/track/elysian-trails Watch this video on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZR-xtG3hQg

One of the best lines Optimus has ever spoken.

Out of all the famous and infamous quotes of the G1 cartoon, this is far and above my favorite. I just had to do something for it. I worked on this in preparation for Peter Cullen's 89th (What the helll) birthday. Happy belated one to him!

A newly-created combat unit finds herself fighting for her life in her first training..

[Originally uploaded to YT on March 1st 2025, animation has improved a bit since then, apologies for any mistakes and jankiness, was a test animation before deciding to make it into an actual full one!] In preparation for war, a newly created combat unit, V.A.R.1.Y.A, is thrown into potentially lethal training for the first time against POW's, cheaply paid volunteers, and other things out to kill her. Supplied only with limited combat knowledge and a very brief existence, Variah must either defend herself however she can or perish trying. And ofc the layout of the arena is based off of MPN's Arena mode!! :D Prequel to this drawing - https://www.newgrounds.com/art/view/christian0h/is-every-day-going-to-be-like-this-post-0-a

The long awaited final round for the CRAB3 tournament

The final round battle for the 3rd annual CRAB (Comics and Random Art Battles) tournament, Awesoman versus Lenard. Be sure to watch Awesoman's Intro, Round One, and Round Two here for his full CRAB3 journey. The ongoing comic series can also be read here. After overcoming an existential crisis by saving Tokyo from the monstrous Hogzilla, then spending some time unjustly imprisoned in Nuremburg, Awesoman is facing his most difficult challenge yet in the final round of the CRAB tournament. His opponent is the leader of Team HAUNT, the mastermind mechanist and illusionist who defeated Monomyth's young leader Soren and his nigh unstoppable mech Centurion on Mt Fuji, Lenard. Awesoman meditates, stilling his mind in preparation for the intense imminent battle. But will he have what it takes to win, and if so, at what cost? I know I said episodes wouldn't be soo long but I got carried away on this one lol.I'm much more proud of how this one came out compared to episode 2, much better action scene than the last one and this has NO AUDIO DESYNC HORAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Episode 4 WONT be as long I promise! Finally gave the Light Source a voice cause y'all hated the subtitles and stuff.I also made 2 songs featured in this, The rest of the BG music was created by Eyvind Kang (MUSIC MARKED AS PUBLIC DOMAIN), Mindchamber and Cornandbeans. Enjoy this, spent over half a year procrastinating to finish it.

Animated comedy short film based on the character from Brazilian folklore, the Saci

Hi! This was my first *big* animation project, a short film I've worked on for 9 months as my Final Major Project at uni! The animation was done in Krita (with occasional tweaks made in After Effects), edited through Premiere Pro, and finalised at the end of May this year (miraculously). (Based on the iconic character from Brazilian folklore of the same name)"A magical troublemaker known as the Saci, encountering an animal being held hostage, pulls maniacal pranks on her kidnapper" I couldn't have completed this film without the incredible support from my friends, family and tutors. If you guys are reading this, y'all are the best! I hope you enjoy the film as much as I have studying about the Saci and his various interpretations in movies, shows and books, as preparation for adapting such a fun character and his comedic antics in this take. --------------------------- - CREDITS - ANIMATIONThomas Pereira-Dransfield (me)Robin Tate-Davison ( @_cheepoi_)Rio Bardouille ( ‪‬@speedblitzanimations )VOICEWORKPedro Djú (as the Saci)Skyla Downey (as the Lil' Monkey)Thomas Pereira-Dransfield (as the Hunter) ROYALTY-FREE MUSIC AND SFX VIA:StoryblocksPixabayFesilyan StudiosUppbeat If you enjoyed the short, please consider checking out my art on: Instagram: @a_puzzle_oddballTwitter: @a_puzzle_oddbalBluesky: @apuzzleoddballThreads: @a_puzzle_oddball - Originally released on YouTube on July 9, 2024 -

The Saci - Animated Short Film (2024)

Olive is in trouble while she's getting the secret documents. 😅

Featuring short story by him about her too: "It wasn’t really a good idea, but a good effort was made. Olive, the living pillar, renowned for her toughness and strength is always ready to protect and support her friends no matter what it takes. She recently discovered that the villain Darkisan has been targeting her close friend Jewel, and is gathering information on her in preparation for a project that he hopes to begin soon. Of course Olive will not stand for this, and so she is determined to steal Darkisan’s documents on Jewel, but unfortunately for her Darkisan is not one to give up his secrets easily. Being the opportunist he is, he simply cannot pass up on the opportunity to capture Olive and force her to submit to his control. But people as strong-willed as Olive do not give up easily, so Darkisan must think of something a bit more creative. And that’s when he gets the genius idea, humiliation via bondage is surely the best way to break her tough exterior. And to add some extra irony he has tied her securely to a pillar, just like the inanimate pillar she used to be. The ropes are tight but soft, they suppress Olive’s strength and refuse to let up. As she struggles and squirms, making as much sound as the gag allows her to, she comes to a realization. This feeling of helplessness, the tightness of the ropes, it feels a little too pleasurable, as much as she wants to deny it, this experience is somewhat pleasurable. As Darkisan returns the documents to a secure location, he leaves Olive to continue struggling, it shouldn’t be too long before she tires herself out should it? And now there’s nothing left for Olive to do other than try hopelessly to get herself free, or maybe enjoy the experience, after such a defeat she deserves to have at least a little fun with it while she can." It’s a nice night tonight, perfect for stargazing!

Beautiful music by @BrikLikesChicken Made this in preparation for Art Fight this year! I’m on team stardust, so I made an animation of Goombo and Maxi stargazing. Might’ve gone a little overboard on this one lol but DAMN am I pleased with how this turned out. Procreate Dreams definitely has its issues but it’s definitely possible to make some cool stuff on it. Look at my boys! Just having the time of their lives! Haha! Hope you enjoyed this one! :)

Planetballs: Dawn of Sirius S1 E8: PREPERATION

Welcome to Blithe street is a BRRRAAANND new 𝓦𝓮𝓫-𝓼𝓮𝓻𝓲𝓮𝓼 made for newgrounds and youtube, loosely made from my childhood experiences and stories I would think up of back in middleschool. I've been drawing these little goobers for about 6 years now, they were from lil comics I would make for my friends and we would laauuugh and have fun brainstorminnggg, and after a ton of preparation and ʰᵒⁿᵉˢᵗˡʸ ᵃˡᵒᵗ ᵒᶠ ʷᵃˢᵗᵉᵈ ᵗⁱᵐᵉ IIII have decided to turn it into a series! cuz really why not I thought it'd be fun. Main inspirations for art and story would have to be uhhh kirbyyy and soniccc and old rubberhose cartoonss anddd uhh animal crossinggggg uhhhh and basically all the cool cartoons I would watch on the internet when I was little, especially edsworld, and really the whole point is to sorta bring us back to a time where we were a bit younger and everything was a fun adventure! So far it's been a blast recording with my buddies and animating goofy lil skits, I look foward to making a ton of episodes, anddd to a lesser extent music (still not crazy about that part I might not do much) :/ yeaah baybeeee we goin all out on this project, so I hope at least some of you tune in. ahem 𝕁𝕆𝕀ℕ 𝕋ℍ𝔼 𝔾𝕆𝕆𝔽𝕐 𝔾𝕆𝕆𝔹𝔼ℝ𝕊, 𝔹𝔼𝔸𝕊, 𝕂𝔼𝕍𝕀ℕ, 𝕄𝔸𝕐𝕄𝕀, 𝔸ℕ𝔻 𝕁𝕆ℝ𝔻𝔸ℕ 𝕆ℕ 𝕋ℍ𝔼𝕀ℝ ℚ𝕌𝔼𝕊𝕋 𝕋𝕆 𝔻𝕆 absolutely nothing and just sorta hang around-𝔽𝕌𝕃𝕃 𝕆𝔽 𝕎𝔸ℂ𝕂𝕐 𝔾𝕆𝕆ℕ𝕊 𝔸ℕ𝔻 𝔹𝔸𝕃𝕃𝔹𝕌𝕊𝕋𝕀ℕ𝔾 𝕊𝕋𝕆ℝ𝕐𝕃𝕀ℕ𝔼𝕊, 𝕎𝕀𝕃𝕃 𝕐𝕆𝕌 𝔹𝔼 𝕋ℍ𝔼 𝔽𝕀ℝ𝕊𝕋 𝕋𝕆 ℂ𝕃𝔸𝕀𝕄 𝕋ℍ𝔼 𝔾𝕆𝔹𝕃𝔼𝕋 𝕆𝔽 𝔽𝕀ℝ𝔼? 10 years of celebrating Clock Day in a row finally leads to an epic conclusion for Badly Drawn Clock. Brace yourselves, even a decade of preparation may not be enough for what you're about to witness.

Will there be an actual continuation... Personally, No. But if this animation gets popular

8feet's notes... This video was supposed to be a sequel for "Unnecessary Update video" in preparation for the last Bronycon in history. But I got so invested in what I can do with this animation that this video outlived it's original intention. Easter Egg... If you find the first music and dance step familiar. Yes... This is a reference to that famous off-brand MMD :3 Is that a Jojo fooking Jojo reference!? No, this is no reference to that Jojo little girl Youtuber. Who are this two characters? (For new people...)
- Black Doggo(purple hair w/ red pants Shantae) His name is 'Warhound'
- Brown Doggo(purple pants w/ red tentacles of terror) Her name is 'Alexandra' So is this your(8feet's) Halloween video... In the most bootleg way, yeah! Will there be an actual continuation... Personally, No. But if this animation gets popular (or meme'd)
Then maybe???

Just a Simple Collision & Jiggle Practice Loop (with sound)

Just something I put together to practice using Mei's jiggle bones in preparation for her upcoming movie, a full breakdown of which is coming very soon. I might come back to this, make it longer and do some different camera angles. The jiggle animation only looks good from this position though so i'd have to re-do the animation for each shot & I wanted to keep this nice and simple for now. If you'd like to see a more elaborate version of this scene then let me know in the comments & if it's a popular idea I'll see what I can do.

Two champions invade each other’s base before the match even starts. LoL parody finally! This was supposed to be just a loop but I decided to add a little something something to it. Preparation - A League of Legends Parody (18+)

EDIT: Gratitude and sunshine to all who made this reach front page! You guys rock! After a horrific event, Suntria has been acting rather strange, not to mention her loss of memory. But before things can become clearer, why not have some cake with a friend? ^_^ Special thanks to all the talented guys who did the music and sound for this!! It took lots of time and sweat to make this all work, but I think it was worth it, as I learned more about animation and the tricks to do certain scenes.
I wanted to try something different than the Mr. Sneaks cartoons, so while there isnt much plot revealed in this episode, I hope the characters and the world are now more understandable, in preparation for what's to be unveiled in later episodes. If you like this, please check out a mini trailer for future episodes at the end of the youtube version

Animation about a snail who takes to the skies which was created for a university brief.

Howdy! So yeah, I just managed to fail my 2nd year at university (boo) but have thankfully been given the chance to catch up over summer (yay) due to the reason I failed was because of a badly broken ankle requiring some pretty serious surgery. Then not long after I finished up in hospital with deep cut to me right hand, damaging the nerves FOREVER (shit) and requiring bandaging for quite a while. Shortly followed by breaking my right hand up pretty seriously, again requiring surgery and plates. As you can imagine, neither injuries are ideal for an Graphic Arts student and left me out of action for a fuck load of hours, which lead to a fuck load of work not being completed. Still not completely healed but screw it, I'm not waiting another year to progress. On a brighter note - I've been given three animation briefs to complete over with the themes; anticipation, preparation and resolution. I'm allowed to continue with my studies provided these animations are completed by the end of summer. The only limitation was the animation had to be bang on 30 seconds. Here we have my first submission on the subject of anticipation. Not having strict guidelines allowed me to be pretty liberal with the content and how it fits with the theme - and this is what I finished up with. The second animation (preparation) is currently a WIP and will be uploaded soonish. TL;DR - Hope you enjoy! :) Cheers.

"Snail Away"

What is something that I was in no preparation for.

Coffy'S Diary

Blues and Aireth have made it to the inn, but they aren't out of the fire yet...

Hey! I'm back! So, because of how long this took to make (About 1 year), and the amount of time it took to even put this on Newgrounds (A couple of months), I don't remember the names of all the Cameos. BUT. They ARE all in the credits. So enjoy! Also, all music was made by me. Vote fair, guys! - Spex130

The finale to the fully-animated, feature-length Go! Go! Parody Rangers Cartoon! [Part 3]

Go! Go! Parody Rangers: THE MOVIE - Part 3 "Race Against Slime"
[Runtime: - 17 Minutes] After a sexilicous night of rest and preparation, the Rangers finally set out into the darkest, most dangerous depths of the Planet Buut2dahed in order to gain a powerful new power of powerness. They arrive back in Angel Grove with a whole railroad's worth of power and the sinister Evan Splooge's "Orgasmotrons" are already wreaking havoc across the city! But when the violet villain takes matters into his own little munchy-thing hands, they alone can't stop his might! It will take every able set of hands to put an end to this insanity! The Parody Ranger Legend concludes today! This film is NOT for kids and contains plenty of inappropriate (not to mention, immature) humor. If this sort of thing isn't up your alley or if you are offended by such content in any way, please feel free to give it a pass. Otherwise, to the fans who've followed along with Parody Rangers previously, I hope you enjoy it for what it is and have some fun! Thanks everyone for sticking with the Parody Rangers series for the past several years and hope you gotta laugh or two along the way. Enjoy the big finale!

Mallory is a story about a small bird whose lived a misfortunate life.

This is my first properly created flash movie, it was a project that took place over 2 months of preparation and dedication. All backgrounds were painted in Photoshop and transferred into flash. The story is telling the life of a small bird, Mallory who has been bullied all her life. However when a storm arrives only one egg is left surviving. And guess who it belongs to... Thank you so far for the great reviews and daily 5th! :D
