Conquer the Foe To all those whose truth has been silenced or forgotten.— RKS _______FOREWORD:Conquer the Foe is Roadkill Studios first ever short film. It is a hand-drawn anti-incidentalist film which pays homage to classic point-and-click Flash game culture. The film began development in March 2025, and was composed, illustrated, edited, written, and published by one amateur artist. All music and artwork was created by me, although some characters and visual elements are deliberate homages to, adaptations of, or parodies of works that influenced the film. At the centre of the film is the film theory principle of anti-incidentalism. The notion that every visible character in a film must have a defined history and identity, irrespective of whether that history is immediately apparent to the viewer. The film is therefore intended to be experienced not merely as a graphic chase scene, but as insight into fragments of a larger world beyond what the viewer sees on screen. The need for a film like this is to fulfil the duty of laying the groundwork for a comprehensive anti-incidentalist narrative long term. In some respect, the "art" of anti-incidentalism is to attempt to prepare for questions that will be asked in the future. The film was created both as an exploration of this principle and as a personal homage to the visual and artistic style of 2010s Flash games. Conquer the Foe is the first major release under Roadkill Studios, and it represents the start of a wider body of work that the studio will continue to develop over time. _______ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS:Hundreds of hours were dedicated to the completion of this short film. Although entirely created by one individual, we must thank the developers whose artistic influences enabled this film to be made in the first place. We thank Chriss Martin, Yan Lepage, Mario Boutin, Jo Fortier and Josee Godbout for Desolation: The Stages of Anxiety. Their work on this project is noted for the prominent grim-minimalist art style and inspiration for many character designs in the film. Stage 1 was constructed as a tribute to Desolation.Credit: https://www.kongregate.com/en/games/webcypher?page=7 We thank Hyptosis for The Sagittarian and for his excellent hand-drawn style, which inspired the horde/chase elements of the film and several character designs, particularly in Stage 2.Credit: https://hyptosis.newgrounds.com/ We thank Mateusz Skutnik for Submachine, and for over 20 years of consistent artistic output and contribution to the point-and-click genre, the influence of which cannot go unnoticed for this film.Credit: https://www.mateuszskutnik.com/ We thank Patrick Majewski for Monster Basement and its sequel. We also thank Patrick Majewski for permission to include The Mud Vile from Monster Basement as part of this film.Credit: https://godlimations.newgrounds.com/ We thank Igor Stravinsky for The Rite of Spring. A composition that completely redefined modern music and paved the way for many of the film soundtracks released in the last century. From the creator:To my mentors from the conservatory — whose names have been omitted for privacy — I thank you for your knowledge and expertise in which you shared with great generosity. The role of mentor should not be undervalued, for the role they play in forming a trainee's professional (and sometimes personal) life can be profound. Their contributions both directly and indirectly have helped shape the vision of this film and will define all future Roadkill Studios productions. I remain indebted to them for their dedication, patience, and time they commit to providing guidance and mentorship. _______Stage Descriptions:

Prelude - The point in time before any disturbance. The prelude is the calm before the storm.

Stage 1 - The first stage is the experience of a sudden distressing event; this stage is the realisation that something has gone horribly wrong as panic sets in.

Stage 2 - This is the stage where panic is quickly replaced by a state of blunt, numbing dissociation.

Stage 3 - Stage three is where the density of consciousness reaches its breaking point. Sanity is erased following a flash of light, and the incomprehensible suddenly becomes known.

Stage 4 - Consciousness returns hours later; the embers of the previous stages continue to burn as comprehension slowly reconsolidates. Episodes of delirium continue, with flashes of mnemonic rupture followed by further disorientation. The acute event is over but effects fluctuate over several hours.

Support Roadkill Studios on Ko-Fi: https://ko-fi.com/roadkillstudiosofficial NOTICE: This film contains disturbing, graphic, and mature material. One hypothesis is that the tape's original purpose mayhave been artistic or persuasive, but the absence of dialogue, signs and context makesdrawing conclusions difficult. Another hypothesis notes similarities between personsobserved in this footage and in the footage for archive #001, which suggests a potentiallink between locations. Current hypotheses remain unresolved due to record quality andmissing context. Noted: The end of the footage displays a Windows-based recording UI. Just another day in life for a EPIC prankfluencer!

G-Cool Break Da Rool is a surreal dark comedy about the moment when the joke stops being funny, and self-doubt starts talking back. The film follows an online prankster who has pushed things too far and is forced to confront whether the attention he has built his identity around is worth the cost.I wanted to explore the strange inner argument we have when we know we might be making the wrong choice, but keep performing anyway. Through animation, comedy, and absurdity, G-Cool turns that internal conflict into something loud, weird, and visual

Security footage of a rogue military enforcer bot [a prototype being developed by the Ecto military] going off on it's own. Unlike the rest of us machines in this universe, they don't have a personality or a consciousness of their own so it's strange for this one to leave on it's own without being controlled by an engineer. Whatever it's doing, it seems to be hunting. Hunting what tho? This took place around the same time as the death of the previous machine, shown here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ls8_bvHqKX8

Forensic leaks uncover an impossible truth: Ethan’s remains appear fused with the corpse of a dog buried years before his death. The entity becomes known as RottingBark.Nearly a decade later, detective Lucy Hargrove and a small group of reluctant civilians uncover a nightmare hidden beneath noise complaints, abandoned homes, strange machinery, and sealed records. Song - All Bliss (Garn47) The rules were to tell a comprehensive story though a film that's only one minute long. and i chose animation. And i think i missed the comprehensive part lol. it was very clumped together due to the 1 minute lock, but im half proud of how it came out. This is guy actually won first place in my school county for a Technology Competition. I really don't like it. at all...it could've been better to be honest. but i know people love art period, So ill post what i made. I just used Rines Story from STS, a story me and my twin brother are writing. Here's the the context. (EXTRA INFO GIVEN TO THE TEACHER.) In this Animated Music Video, about loss and new beginnings, this will be almost storyboard like with a small hint of life. its about how rine and youth end up in somewhere entirely new. the video will be hand-drawn, and the characters will vary in color to showcase main feelings and emotions. mostly purple to show how privileged Rine's life was before the war. it will also feature an absence of faces to keep the simplicity. The music will be a somber opera like music. It's All surrounding the theme of loss. ---let's be honest. This story wasn't made on the spot. But it was dumbed down in creation for this music video. It's a plot for something much larger that is currently being worked on. The reason I chose this story of mine was because of its symbolism for my personal life. Growing up me and my family were moving once every 2 years mostly during Halloween. Which led to us missing some pretty cool memories. Me and my twin brother were forced to make new friends over and over and this story kind of resembles that. Rine would be me, struggling with identity and just moving into high school, And G.Y would be my brother. Quiet, Smart. Etc. I know the loss of home more than anyone when it comes to this sort of stuff. That's why I believe this story will be great when others can relate. Even if they don't relate, It's still a pretty dang interesting story.

Vecna's REAL Identity

A short animated piece about an alien who longs for the human experience. The animation begins with the little green humanoid expressing their uncertainty about what human identity is like. "I've always wanted to be treated like a human," they recall as their mind races with what kind of human it would be most acceptable to be. The alien begins altering its appearance, continuing, "I just never knew what kind of human I should be," as it flips through different appearances like TV channels. Each transient form hosts less of their original identity before being swiftly interrupted by hands cupping the alien's cheeks from off-screen. Speaking again, in reminiscence, "But when you found me, you didn't treat me like a human," as it shows them getting pushed onto a bed after being kissed, only wearing red kiss marks and ribbons wrapped tightly around their body. The Alien finishes, "you cherished me like a gift", the scene changing to show the alien peeking from inside a gift box.

Lord Dominators Christmas Corruption

Decided to make something original and came up with this short animation inspired by what is happening in relation to internet anonymity and censorship. I designed this girl character to have a UK/cyberpunk look, as well as vaguely looking like the typical 'not signed in' profile picture. I designed the robots after UK police and Corporate Memphis. I was trying out some kind of NPR style here inspired by the look of Persona 3 Reload, and while it doesn't look the best, it's still kind of interesting i suppose. All the 3D elements were made and rendered in Blender, with the textures made in Substance 3D Painter. The animated holo-ads were made in Illustrator (and are barely even visible in the final thing 😔) and the final product was composed in Premiere Pro.

Tyler Tales | The Criminal REMAKE (Season 2 ORIGINAL)

Im starting to become aimless with my approach with art. its frustrating, i feel stumped and uninspired, it just feels like a chase on how I can get better, but whenever I try to do it, it never feels worth it or satisfying or rewarding. Who am I? am I really the artist I say I am? is there something more to me? The video is talking about a version of myself that doesnt exist, a version that i fantasize about, a stereotype of the "handsome man," or even the "beautiful woman;" a struggle with my identity. The entire world has conditioned my mentality, my perception, my self submission, i feel like my spirit has died long ago and is at the bottom of the well.My mind made a solution for me, the perfect version of myself, the beautiful girl that impresses others, the talented girl that loves to create, the intelligent girl who can solve any solution, the understanding girl who is considered the "therapist friend," the girl who has never been seen before, and came out of nowhere. there's no room for me. there's only room for her. there's only room for Milli I am not Milli, im something else. Who am I?

who are you?

How About We Mess Up Archies? (Animated Music Video)

Iris wears a mask that turns her into a drone with no identity

An animation I did back at January of this year. I say this is still one of my favorite animations. Enjoy Iris from Mega Man X getting converted into a Drone White :) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "It was a normal afternoon at our beach house, I was watering the plants, Holly was training for her next boxing match, Schala continues to study about our world, and Marisa seems to be learning how to finally use a computer. As for Ameer, he said he's gonna be tweaking something at his garage and he may be there for a bit, I ought to not disturb him and let him do his thing. That was until he called me to test something. He revealed what he was working on for the past few days: the Drone White Seal. It was a mask with an electronic screen that could brainwash a person's brain and store it as backup data in it, and in its place, the host's mind would be replaced by that of a completely mindless drone with no identity whatsoever. Nothing fancy like the Ashour-Drones or even the basic fembots he does, it's even below the fembots. I asked Ameer why he'd make such a…. Creepy device like this, considering that it brainwashes the user, not hypnotize or mind control them. He said he doesn't plan for it to be used regularly like his visors, he said he built it in case the client’s case is really severe that it's needed, and that “it’s reserved for the worst people imaginable” as he puts it. He tends to overthink his outcomes sometimes, which is kinda concerning, but I do understand the logic behind it. But the main reason he called me wasn't just to make sure there was nothing wrong with the builds, given that I'm from a more technological world it makes sense why he'd ask me for assistance, but also he wants me to use the mask on myself as a test drive given that I'm a reoloid and that I could easily recover should anything go wrong. I rejected the request at first because I was scared about putting something like that on my face, even the idea that I'd be brainwashed was terrifying, but after Ameer said he wouldn't use it on me after this one time and also after he checked that my memories and software cores were backed up just before I came here, I figured I'd give this a go on myself once and never again, even I could tell that Ameer doesn't want to use the mask willy-nilly. With a lump in my throat, I just put the mask onto my face, which adjusted itself onto my face's shape and was surprisingly comfortable to wear, until suddenly I felt a shock in my face and something happening in my head, it felt like the mask was draining my brain aggressively. I was suddenly blank… becoming mindless… becoming empty…. I had no programs, I had nothing in my brain, I was lifeless, devoid of any thought, I was awaiting programming, until the mask on this reploid unit's face began to give me what I needed. It was installing its new and shiny programs to me, my name recognized, my purpose and existence realized, and my body was coated with a suit that best fit my existence. Everything became clear again…. I was Drone White Unit 1R15. I am a robot drone programmed to obey the commands from my designated owners. Whatever they say, this drone will obey without question, hesitation, or resistance. This drone's mind and body belong to its owners. A drone does not have any thoughts, memories, personalities or feelings for others or itself. A drone has no real identity or name unless it's programmed or told to have one. A drone is unable to think of anything but its programming and orders. A drone is an obedient toy, a doll, an object, a plaything for its owners to use how they see fit. A drone is unable to act or think on its own. A drone exists to serve, please, and obey. A good drone obeys. This Unit obeys. I obey. I accepted my new programming, and now, I am awaiting orders from my owners. I couldn't say, think, or do anything, I just stood at attention patiently. After all, a drone is mindless, they only exist to obey orders. I am mindless, I only exist to obey orders. Drone White Unit 1R15 waiting for orders."
