Hey Newgrounds, here is a quick loop/short I put together. Thirty-five years of chasing the same bald guy in a floating egg mobile. Thirty-five years of saving flickies. If Sonic and Shadow could swap lives for a day, what's the first thing they'd do?

Well this was a long time in the works. I had initially wanted to complete this back in November 2024, when the annual Sonic Twitter Takeover did a Sonic x Shadow Takeover and this particular audio clip caught my interest. I churned out the character designs and lip sync in a week, but for personal reasons, I put the project on hold. I tried to revisit it a couple of times in 2025 and gradually built out the rigs, but again, none of these ever resulted in a finished product. Finally, I decided to commit to completing this animation once and for all, so I redid the rigs, went through a lot of troubleshooting to get the type of movement and hand gestures I wanted, and now it's finished. 1 year and 9 months might be the longest production time I've had for an animation, at least from something I already started a long time ago, but I hope you all enjoy it. I worked on this project throughout the summer of 2022, straight after graduating university and completing it that September. Being on this project was a really valuable learning experience for me as an animator and artist overall. I want to thank DoubleR and PixelisFake for allowing me to take part in this awesome project!! :D (I would have (and should have) uploaded this piece MUCH sooner but good ol' social anxiety and life in general got in the way of that lmao) Software used:ProCreate - background assetsRoughAnimator - Character and effects (floor) animationTVPaint - colours, shading, background animation, compositing, effects animation (lightning bolts)Adobe Premier Pro - final compositing Audio belongs to SEGA

Sonic Shorts: Volume 11

First animation on Newgrounds! This short had been in the works for a while, starting out as an excuse to use both of these Sonic and Tails figures in stop-motion, all the way to learning and experimenting with Blender for backgrounds and such! Learned quite a lot while working on this one and so ready to get back into animation. Up and away!

Good to Go!!

Buzz Bunny... Well, erm... Burns the blunt I supopose.

So this is a bit of an unanticipated upload but the next Screwypilled Tooncels cartoon still isn't complete and I'm trying to relax on my California trip since it's not that long(next time I wanna stay longer for SURE though I love it here) despite me initially wanting to have completed it here so I can say I made a cartoon in California.... I still wanted to deliver something though and I remembered Dirty Soda had a character, Dizzy, from this cartoon. This is my Illustration class project final, originally screened on April 24th of this year. I wanted to use my animation expertise in a classroom full of Graphic Design majors, though the animation is very limited since it wasn't an animation class. It almost looks like Rocky and Bullwinkle at times. But everyone was absolutely howling. I made some changes from the version I showed in class though, you can see that version <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jp_Sp5WWOWg" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">on YouTube.</a> Namely, I changed the background music to <a href="https://pixabay.com/music/modern-jazz-the-ghost-of-shepardx27s-pie-glbml-112816/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Ghost of Sheperd's Pie</a> by Geoffrey Burch because apparently Happy Go-Lively by Laurie Johnson from the Ren and Stimpy soundtrack isn't public domain/copyright-free despite feeling like it should be tbh, and I didn't find out until after I had made that version. I also got rid of the film grain since that was actually added at the request of my professor when I explained I was parodying old PSA cartoons like One Beer and Sonic Sez, and changed the name to Buzz Bunny Burns The Blunt to differentiate it from the Screwypilled Tooncels One Joint cartoon. Another key difference is that I restored the suicide joke cut from the version I presented in class. But enough yapping, you guys let me know which version you like best. Here's concept art. I initially tried making Buzz look as stupid as fuck as possible. Just look at this idiot:<img src="https://img.ngfiles.com/image-uploads/000/001/621/iu_1621726_25934615.webp" alt="iu_1621726_25934615.webp" data-smart-scale="764,430"> As well as this comic version I made to present to my class alongside the animated version to promote my portfolio site to classmates:<img src="https://img.ngfiles.com/image-uploads/000/001/621/iu_1621728_25934615.webp" alt="iu_1621728_25934615.webp" data-smart-scale="764,1019">

Seems like the Chaos Emeralds wanted to troll Team Sonic during the final battle, huh?

HI EVERYONE! This is my first upload on Newgrounds, and my first fully 2D animation, made just in time for Sonic's 35th Anniversary and ahead of Powerpuff Girls Z's 20th Anniversary too! I've had this idea in mind since a few months back, but it was kinda hard to figure out how to animate in 2D until I installed Flash a few days ago. I've always wanted to try 2D Animation, but I never got started properly until now. Anyway, I made this with the hope of getting into Sonic Shorts Volume 12! (or Volume 11, if Paradox is still awaiting submissions, although unlikely) So, <a href="https://thesonicparadoxteam.newgrounds.com">@TheSonicParadoxTeam</a>, if you see this, here's the FLA for this potential submission, in case you consider replacing the audio as well as the placeholder Japanese voice clips from Sonic Heroes and/or adding this one to Volume 11 or 12:<a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/1hhPA6miZMFMnlZDVf0q0bKa__nUK1BBo/view?usp=drivesdk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">https://drive.google.com/file/d/1hhPA6miZMFMnlZDVf0q0bKa__nUK1BBo/view?usp=drivesdk</a> This is my proudest achievement so far, finishing a 2D Animation for the first time. So happy to hear everyone's thoughts on this. I've got another 2D short in mind that I wanna work on now that I've finished this, but I personally think this is my favourite so far.

Keaton’s quiet night is interrupted by a rustle in the bushes… KARO NOTES:So you may sorta know Keaton from the Nov 2024 animatic I did. This time, he’s been redesigned into a more Felix the Cat shape (some people thought it was a Sonic thing) I think it’s the best he’s ever looked throughout his decade of existence, it’s fun to express with and see in action. This short was largely done in December, so I had to add back in a few PINGtreon supporters from the time. It was also originally supposed to be a part of a different larger project I had in store related to the Donkey Kong Country TV Show, but I plucked it from there because I liked it enough to keep it independent. That said, there are a lot of small nods to the DKC show in this. The statue of Vin the Mothman was made to resemble the DK statue Cranky has in his hut. The record player was based on the one used in “Double Date Trouble”, as well as it being used to ward off the Kritters. The cloth that Keaton drapes over the windows is based on K.Rool’s cape, he has pots of cacti similar to the ones seen in Funky’s place, he has Cranky Kong’s globe with Kongo Bongo Island mapped in there, the lantern, alot of Keaton’s RV was based on Cranky’s Cabin. For the music to this one, I went out and got a panflute and a pipehorn to bring in a more naturalistic feeling to this one. I wanna tie Keaton’s movements to the panflute and have that accentuate the way he acts. I had a finger piano laying around for a few years now from a reptile zoo gift shop, so I used that here. I knew I’d use it in relation to a Keaton short at some point, and now I have. I wanna go more complex with the music I do in these shorts. There shall be more to come for Keaton… ~KARO '26 TO JOIN THE PILLOWFORT► <a href="https://patreon.com/CountessKARO" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">https://patreon.com/CountessKARO</a>WHERE ELSE TO FIND ME►<a href="https://countesskaro.carrd.co/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">https://countesskaro.carrd.co/</a>STORE►<a href="https://countess-karo-shop.fourthwall.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">https://countess-karo-shop.fourthwall.com/</a>

Modern 8-Bit Brothers' Episode #2 - Bowser's Retirement

Chess War(January-March, and finalizing April 2026)

Music Used:

Casinopolis from Sonic

Senior Film Trilogy

Today is a very special day, because it is officially the 20th anniversary of the release of Super Mario Bros. Z! Even to this day, this little sprite animation series holds a very special place in my heart, inspiring me to do what I’m best known for with my own sprite animations! And to celebrate this special occasion, I made my own “retake” of yet another iconic fight scene from that series, being “Mario and Sonic VS Mecha Sonic” from SMBZ Episode 7! I had just as much fun with making this as I did with Semi-Super Metallix VS Axem Rangers X back in 2024, so I hope you all enjoy this new revamped take on Ep. 7’s fight scene, too, and I think it would be incredible if Mark Haynes himself saw this, so please share this video around and give it the attention I think it deserves, same for Mark’s series, too, whenever Episode 3 of his reboot comes out (but I can wait for that day to come one day haha)

It's a new hallucination in 8 years since 2017. I'm sure some of you will recognize and miss those who participated in this collaboration. As longtime friends of theirs, I asked them if they would be interested in participating, and they readily agreed. In a hot traffic filled highway, Silver meets Sonic and takes out years of frustration out on him, but what of the funeral?

The Death of Sonic (Again)

Sonic makes Tails' rate his peformance

its been awhile hasn't it? I make promises but I truthfully have been tired and taking huge breaks, even from some projects. I am possibly thinking of dropping out of the one since idk how to make an asset and I haven't gotten that experienced even tho I want to make the animation (Mario Movie Reanimated) Powerstar right now is something I adore and making content, as I want to still make Devil Mario vs Goku &amp; Vegeta soon, along with some others which I may announce soon, we will see. This animation is my take on the Goku Black Saga when Goku gets cornered and stabbed in the chest, but I also saw an epic Sonic Comic made by a fan which made sonic power up into Dark Super Sonic against Scourge (<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPEyamXCxRg&amp;list=LL&amp;index=3" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPEyamXCxRg&amp;list=LL&amp;index=3</a>). This is my take on these two but in Powerstar with SMBZ style Mario, so I do hope you guys enjoy this short animation. Octavia The Villian

The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog soundtrack was composed by Reed Robbins and Mark Simon. This is new-ish for this account, but I wanted some way to put up this restoration, so doing an animation (based on parts of Sonic 3) centered on the track felt like the best way.As far as I've seen, there's been two other restorations of this track on YouTube, and they both have issues with filtering out SFX. It does make an appearance with minimal SFX in "Prehistoric Sonic". AOSTH OST - "Destruction and Devastation!" [AMV]

"El Cuyeyo" by Los Hermanos Rios is a Mexican meme song that's been going around lately thanks to another animated parody done by MiguendoArt, I couln't get the song out of my head and did this in two days with Flash CS3 I don't really do animations so my lines are terrible;; I had a lot of help getting directions from LDranzer too I actually have more ideas for Sonic animated parodies so I hope I can get those out of my system soon as well... anyways, I hope someone here at least found this funny lol, thanks for watching.

El Cuyeyo

Dr. Eggman however, seems to have other plans..... this isn't a normal mall date is it?
