The Rainbow Unicorns Superhero Team's Final Mission: Rescue Cat from Tree

The Rainbow Unicorns is a superhero team of Unicorns from Mythica. This episode takes place after Mythiconium has been banned from use and has severely crippled the capabilities of their UFO (Unicorn Flying Observatory). Chronopony, the team's newest member, with the ability to manipulate time has been instrumental to their recent success. The reference to Dave Filoni is not in anyway meant to imply anything negative about Dave Filoni. We love Dave Filoni and his body of work and look forward to what he will do as he takes more of a lead position in the future of the Star Wars franchise. The joke here is supposed to be like one of those Ryan Reynolds/ T.J. Miller jokes where they says someone looks like someone else and then you see it. The character in the TRU episode, Merv the Perv IS a Star Wars nerd (as you can tell by his shirt available in our Tshirt store https://www.stickermule.com/akirausa/item/21137151 ) who has modelled his look after Dave Filoni but that doesn't mean all Star Wars nerds that model their look after Dave Filoni are bad people like the one in this episode. Maybe even NONE of them are bad or anything like Merv the Perv. Thanks for watching. If you like it, I made it for you! Thanks for all comments of any kind. The beeped out word that my daughter as Princess Violet said is actually "Ninja." The joke is supposed to be that she innocently says a no-no word (not meaning anything hateful by it) which to the others is far worse than the previous traditional swear words and while Peyo becomes flustered by horrifying racism embodied in the mere utterance of the N word in modern society, Chestnut steps in to show true racism by codeswitching in a pizza order full of negative stereotypes. And then they're "saved" from the awkward situation by their friend's impending death. Any way, i thought it was funny but it's gotten some negative reactions so i thought i'd try to explain how i wasn't trying to put down anyone other than sanctimonious racists. Young wizard stumbles on an ancient power and becomes a hunted man.

Welp, got this done. - Visual novel storytelling, about 24k words in total. Young wizard Oyuun stumbles on an ancient power, and he becomes a hunted man. Classic fantasy adventure with swords and sorcery, but many events and characters are based on real life history. - Hand drawn art! 95% is traditional, just photos of my drawings, then the final 5% is pixel art I also made. - A light gacha-mechanic for recruiting party members, as Oyuun is a wizard and he summons familiars and spirits to fight at his side. - Takes around 2-4h to complete -Available for free at https://kollegi51.itch.io/the-architect-of-nowhere

The Powerpuff Girls But It’s Regular Show

Are we victims of the system, or just comfortable cowards? My dystopian animation.

Hey everyone,I wanted to share my graduation short film, "Ghost in the Machine". It’s a dark, dystopian animation that dives into media manipulation, corporate greed, and the matrix of modern control. The Concept:The film uses a TV glitch aesthetic as a narrative device. In this world, a "glitch" isn't a technical mistake—it's a momentary fracture where the polished, corporate reality slips, exposing the raw, ugly machinery of global exploitation, manufactured crises, and mass pacification underneath. The Tech:I spent months bringing this to life using Blender's Grease Pencil. I wanted to create a raw, haunting look by mixing traditional 2D line art with 3D space and heavy glitch post-processing.A quick heads-up: The voiceover is in Hungarian, but I have embedded English subtitles directly into the video, so you won't miss any of the monologue. It ends on a pretty cynical note about collective guilt and societal apathy. I’m genuinely curious to hear what you guys think about both the visual style and the message. Is it too doomer, or is it just an accurate reflection of where we are heading?Drop your thoughts in the reviews!Created with Blender (Grease Pencil).

Proof of concept for our upcoming series MOTHELL

The Mothell is always open.Come in. Sit down.Something will come along. Okay, let me try to explain a bit of the context, even though words aren't really my thing. The concept is very simple: we're in this surreal diner/motel floating in a space/non-space, where ambiguous characters come looking for... rest? Comfort? Who knows... And where things happen. In every episode a new character is added, and there will be no time ellipses — they'll all be consecutive. All episodes together, watched in a row, will form a single short/feature film, I imagine.Nothing earth-shattering in the traditional sense, but every episode is a metaphor for something — although I won't be the one to say which ones, I'd like everyone to see what they want in it.There's a lore behind it, and what happens happens for a reason, but again, I'd like you to discover it as you go through the series. I'd like to tell you how this idea was born, but I've spent the last two weeks working so intensely day and night on this project... so many ideas, so many changes of direction, additions, modifications, that I've forgotten what the initial spark was. I think that at some point I simply said to myself "Hey, let's try to produce something, doesn't matter what." And so I started putting together some of the low poly assets I've created over the last few years, without worrying too much about the story, just to see what happened. To have that feeling again from when I was a child and played with my toys, and it was enough to just spread them out in front of me on the floor, and suddenly they came to life and anything could happen. And, just like back then, everything happened. I took my "abandoned factory" assets and built a diner out of them (if you look closely you'll notice everything is wrong — the tables are workbenches, so too high to comfortably eat at, and the counter is too low, which is why the protagonists sit in those awkward positions — and those are just two examples), I added a couple of human characters, and made up something for them to do.From there some stories started taking shape in my head, enough to start thinking about making a series out of it, and what seemed like a one-off thing now feels like one of the most interesting projects I've ever come up with. We'll see if that's true. The only rule I gave myself: I want it to be weird, to look off, to reflect my personal pursuit of the "not beautiful." I know, not much of all this happens in this first episode — the main goal here was to see if I was capable of finishing one — but I promise you, as we go on, it'll get better. Then, obviously it's all weird — or maybe I should say New Weird? I'm a huge Jeff VanderMeer fan — so I imagine you have to be into the genre a bit, but either way I'm giving it everything I've got. I'm also leaving here a photo of my paper storyboard, even if you probably won't make much sense of it, I can barely make sense of it myself haha — initially I was planning to post it only as a reel on Instagram, which is why it's in vertical format.Thank you so much for your attention and see you next time! MOTHELL - Ep01

A psychological horror short about the monsters in our heads.

What does your anxiety look like? This is the official teaser for LATCHERS, an indie 2D psychological horror project. The story follows a student who drifts into "The Vivid": a space where our heaviest internal burdens manifest as physical parasites. Every single shot in this teaser was done solo and frame by frame. I used traditional 2D animation to capture a specific type of heavy, sluggish movement that reflects mental exhaustion and burnout. Most of the dream state visuals were inspired by old glitch art and retro tech aesthetics to keep the atmosphere as unsettling as possible. The huge lull in time can be attributed half to procrastination, and half to being unsure how to proceed. Longform videos would be cool, but they are WAY too time-consuming. Cephalovirus - Message of the Moon

Antisocial is a handcrafted stop-motion animated music video created over seven years.

ANTISOCIAL is a fully handmade, non-commercial stop-motion short film and animated music video created in Gera, Thuringia, Germany. Created by Studio RE-ANIMA-TRO for the German death-metal-punk band Pedagogic Torment. The entire project was produced independently by one person over the course of seven years — from designing and building puppets and miniature sets to frame-by-frame animation, photography and final post-production. No studio system. No external funding. No shortcuts. More than 6,000 individual frames were created using traditional stop-motion techniques, handcrafted puppets, practical effects and physical materials. There is no spoken dialogue and no subtitles. The film relies purely on visual storytelling, movement and music. Rough textures, handmade surfaces and visible imperfections are intentional and part of the artistic language of the film. ANTISOCIAL explores themes of isolation, resistance and absurd inner conflict through a surreal and darkly humorous story. Instead of explaining everything, the film focuses on atmosphere, movement and interpretation. The soundtrack was written and performed by Pedagogic Torment and acts as the backbone of the project — somewhere between an animated music video and a narrative short film. Since 2024, ANTISOCIAL has been screened internationally at 100+ film festivals across 32 countries and six continents, receiving 29 awards and distinctions. Selected recognition includes:- Winner – Best Story (FEEDBACK Animation Film & Screenplay Festival, USA)- Winner – Best Animated Short Film (FECIS – Salto Independent Film Festival, Uruguay)- Winner – Best Music Video (Mannheim Arts and Film Festival, Germany)- Winner – Best Stop Motion Animation (UK Film Awards)- Winner – Best Animated Film (Global INDIE Filmmaker Awards, United Kingdom)- Winner – Best International Music Video (Zepstone International Film & Music Festival, USA) This project exists because stop-motion is slow, physical and handmade — and because some stories only work when they are built one frame at a time. Exploring 4 emblematic paintings from belgium artist, Rene Magritte

Explorations is a collection of 4 emblematic works of Rene Magritte, recreated with current technology and the power of 3D modeling and animation. Starting with

Sheherazade, Rene Magritte (1947)

'Sheherezade is the name given to the pearl-woman object in memory of The Thousand and One Nights' (Magritte, quoted in D. Sylvester & S. Whitfield, René Magritte, Catalogue raisonné, vol. II, Oil paintings and objects, 1931-1948, Antwerp, 1993, p. 387). Shéhérazade appears to have been painted in May 1947 and is considered to be one of the earliest pictures to feature one of René Magritte's iconic motifs, the pearl woman. This picture shows the woman, whose mouth and eyes are shown as islands of flesh surrounded by a mysterious framework of strings of pearls, against a backdrop of a sky hewn out of monumental arches of blue. Next to her on the tabletop are two tall pyramids, a glass of water and a thick, claret-coloured curtain. This manages both to invoke the tradition of the Old Masters of Magritte's native Belgium and also to create an intimacy, a domesticity, a normality, lulling the viewer into a false sense of security that is prised apart by the mirage-like vision of the woman who so bracingly stares out from the canvas like some Orientalist incarnation of the Cheshire Cat. She is some form of apparition, perhaps conjured by the rituals of which the pyramids and water may be the paraphernalia. At the same time, she is the alluring and ornate hostess introducing the viewer to a world that has been rearranged in order to reveal its infinite wonder.

The Liberator, Rene Magritte (1947)

'The Liberator' presents a mysterious scene likely intended to provoke thought and curiosity. It depicts a figure seated against a surreal backdrop of floating architectural structures, with soft clouds embedded within. The figure, shrouded in a red cloak and adorned with a straw hat, lacks a discernible face; instead, there are symbolic images such as a key, a wine glass, a bird, and a pipe on a blank canvas where the torso should be. The enigmatic character holds a peculiar wand-like object topped with a bouquet of facial features and eyes. The figure’s attire and the walking stick it holds suggest a sense of journey or pilgrimage, while the suitcase placed by its side further emphasizes this theme. The overall composition resonates with Magritte’s distinctive style, blending reality with dreamlike elements to challenge perceptions and evoke deeper interpretations.

The Rights of Man, Rene Magritte (1947)

In 1948, while musing on the purpose of the titles he assigned to his paintings, René Magritte proclaimed: “I think the best title for a picture is a poetic one. In other words, a title consistent with the more or less lively emotion we feel when we look at the picture”. Across a series of handwritten manuscripts—now preserved in the Archives of Contemporary Art in Belgium and collectively known as “On Titles”— the artist offered a collection of short statements on some of his recent work. Among these brief notes, Magritte wrote about Les droits de l’homme: "Here, man is reminded of his right to act on objects and change the world"

The Annuntiation, Rene Magritte (1930)

The Annunciation brings together many of the themes, both iconographic and philosophical, that engaged Magritte during his stay in Paris from 1927 to 1930, a period in which he was closely associated with the French Surrealists. The painting shows an unlikely combination of objects. Two large bilboquets (Magritte's term for the objects in his works, which, though imaginary, recall wooden balustrades or chess-pieces) stand next to an oddly shaped piece of paper with a decorative cut-out pattern. Behind them looms a grey metal 'curtain', hung with sleigh bells. Despite its incongruity, this collection of objects seems disconcertingly 'at home' in the rock-strewn landscape beneath the grey clouds in the blue sky. The size of the painting (it is one of the largest the artist ever executed), together with its traditional composition and subtle allusions to paintings of Old Master like Leonardo da Vinci, Titian, and Caravaggio, are signs of the ambitiousness of the work.

Fun Fact! Despite both Nintendo and Intelligent Systems attempts to bury it, there were leaked drafts of a potential Fire Emblem fighting game, under the subtitle of Dueling Grounds. This would have been a traditional 1V1 fighting game with weapon combat elements and planned to have a roster spanning the entire FE franchise. Reasons for this game's cancellation remain unknown and the only reminants of this project are what would have been its opening cinematic and what appears to be a testing of its character select menu. Okay not really... but I got the opportunity to host a fire emblem fighting game collab back in December and 10 months later, it's finally complete! Fire Emblem Collab - Dueling Grounds

A naked muscular man throws his balls around and pays the price.

This is my part of the Newgrounds Dreamcast Collab! Cosmic Smash is a very obscure game released on SEGA Naomi hardware in arcades back in 2001, with a Dreamcast port released only in Japan as a discounted budget title following the console’s discontinuation earlier that year, sold in a DVD case as opposed to the Dreamcast’s traditional jewel cases. A friend of mine had introduced me to Cosmic Smash as well as some other classics like Rez and Ikaruga last year so when a slot opened up for a Cosmic Smash short in the Dreamcast Collab I snatched it up ASAP. I’ve tried my best to recreate the style of the game’s promotional art while conforming to an animation pipeline. Enjoii :3

The Beginning • Tempus (Ep1)

Mayumi is a quiet girl that's rather lonely...until Lillie appears.

Cast--------Lillie - Maganda Marie Yumi - Janey Gemmell Music and SFX------------------------Epidemic Sound Ending theme - "In Vain" by Romaro feat. Mia Niles Assorted backgrounds-------------------------------------fluffness Text Box--------------Lalá draws Here we are with Episode 4! Just like how Episode 3 was the last entry to use VN narration segments, Episode 4 is the last to feature the traditional Visual Novel style with static sprites and backgrounds. This episode was the first to feature animation for the show upon its initial release as well. Now the characters can blink, breathe, move, and do creepy head turns when they get into a mood. I remember when I first discovered how to make the animations. Maganda (Lillie) and I were speaking together with Janey (Yumi) about working on future episodes. Maganda and I were getting a little concerned about the static VN appearance, so I mentioned that there was indeed animation within the character studio to experiment with. With it, we could alter character poses a little bit better, add body movement, and even mouth flaps for dialogue. Within a week of playing around with the studio -- and making Lillie do a couple of martial arts moves -- I was able to make simple animations for our pivotal scenes of Lillie's monologue, Yumi's dress up scene, and the final scene with Lillie reminiscing about her day. It was a pretty good first step that got us to Episode 5 and onwards. It's a little rough looking back, but it was the start of something very promising. Thanks to experimenting, the entire look of the show changed and a world of possibilities opened up. This is one of my favorite episodes for that reason as well as for the story presented. Yumi is such a dynamic character and she's the key to the very small transformation that started in Lillie's heart. We'll definitely see more of her as the series progresses and I sincerely hope you look forward to it. She has a special episode down the line, now that we're talking about it~. Thank you very much for watching and I hope you enjoy this latest episode to hit Newgrounds! See you next week for Episode 5!
